  1. Do people believe that the UN, World Bank and IMF are benign forces in the world? I believe they try to solve most of the problems that they themselves have created in the first place. No outside force will solve Somalia's problems! We just need to quit our kinship politics, it wont work in the 21 century. As for the Prof, while I might not share his old school nationalism but I believe we should listen to what hes got to say and our duty is to follow the Prophet advice and take the best from his speech and leave the rest. Ridiculing him just proves how juvenile you/we lot are!
  2. KK, I'm sorry to say this, I think they should have spaced out your vaccines.
  3. If the rest of the Somali people take their idea is well and good if not Puntland can go alone.- Samafal ----- So much for Somali patriotism, Puntland has on foot in the republic and another outside, ready to leg it... P.s Caarafat you have raised some good question here.
  4. I think, i'm about the only one who enjoys Xiimaaya's sense of humour...lol keep up the good work, saxib. P.s We need to keep it low on this one until we find commercially viable oil otherwise we may come out sounding like the boy who cried wolf.

Somalia;831766 wrote: Of course isku dan manahin, some want federalism, one wants a central government that was the root cause of the civil war in the first place and the loudest voices don't know what they want. The route of civil war was a military dictatorship that suspended democratic governance in Somalia, introduced clan nepotism and scientific socialism [ communism lite] that destroyed private enterprise and took us to a war with our neighbour without having diplomatic support from IC. Puntlanders are everyday starting to sound like Somalilanders...pity really.
  6. Lol, contrived demostrations...poor school kids!!

  8. ^^ Somali National Army needs all the logistics it can get, we dont need fighter jets, helicopters and tanks to defeat an urban terrorist group. We just need enough men who know how to fight in urban conditions...I think helmets and bullet proof vests are more important for our men and women so that we can take this war to the heart of Al shaabab. This will be a house to house, room to room fight in order to flush out these cowards hiding inside the civilian population. You and I know Al shaabab wont be fighting in the open...so lets get on with it, when are we going to storm Afgoye? This terrorist HQ is only few miles away from Villa Somalia!
  9. Ngonge is a dinosaur, any man that says "clan is everything" should never be given an ear!
  10. Farole and Puntlanders need to grow some balls. Faroole should be confronting Sh Sharif and Abdiweli with his version of Federalism instead of throwing a strop and running to whoever has got a big stick. I think the time has come for Somalis to stop listening to this political virgin. If he can't trust the rest of the Somalis then he should give the job to other competent politician [ if they are any in the enclave], I believe the good people of Bari and Nugaal deserve better representation. Only Puntlander's useful i'diots will be celebrating this political fraud!
  11. The Hargeisa regime has been taking taxes from the Awdal, Sool and Sanaag regions and spent most of it on it's triangle towns. Aid money never leaves the triangle towns plus aid workers are not allowed to leave the "capital" as any aid workers outside the triangle capital are not guaranteed safety. The scam this secessionist have been pulling on somalis is indeed criminal.

I mean this is what I am dealing with in the 21st century, you claim to be from Laascaanood, well I be damned.. SSC's are true patriots, we are not stealth secessionists like Puntland. We don't have one leg in the Republic and another outside... ready to leg it! Fickle people you're.
  13. Get with the programme, ride my Puntland tail, I will take you into the 21st century. -------- PL is taking us back to 1991, Federalism is Zenawi's idea, especially Clan Federalism. Farole cannot take internal disputes to a dictator in the neighbourhood, Farole should be selling his ideas to other Somali stakeholders not contracting it to our nemesis.
  14. ^ You are confusing lack of war to sovereignty any Tuulo can have peace...
  15. Somalia;831357 wrote: Faroole knows that Zenawi will be the only one other than himself that can make things happen. This isn't about sovereignty, this is about stability and it looks like only Puntland wants it. Without getting our sovereignty back they will be no stability in Somalia. Somaliland and Puntland are not example on how to gain our sovereignty!!
  16. Can somebody tell that Governor not to involve enemies of Somalia in our delicates affairs ie like writing of the constitution...he should be heading to Mogadishu to confront other stakeholders, Farole needs to make his case to the Somali people not to some dictator. His duyus behaviour is not helping our desire to gain our sovereignty back.

  18. Qandalawi, the root evil is clanism and every opportunist has taken advantage of it, wether seccesionists [somaliland], stealth secessionists [ puntland] Shaababist, War lords, Xabashis, the lot...and clan federalism will just give legitimacy to this madness. A unitary decentralised state of 18 regions is what Somalia needs....I am fed up with every tuulo having a president.
  19. Qandalawi;831233 wrote: ^Hence this is not about tribal or clan... You're right it's about sub clan and sub sub clan or as they say politics of kinship that's gone wild and federalism will just exacerbate it.
  20. ^I don't mind opinions but at least should be based on facts!
