  5. ^ as far as i know that part of somalia used to be called "gaari waa" due to its vastness, wilderness and its mountain terrain, thats why you see lots of historic cities just crumbled because no roads were built and most of the population migrated to the big cities in the west where the highway was like Bosaso, Qardho, and Garowe.
  6. Jacpher;827023 wrote: I agree with Nuune & Mr Cat on this one. Farmaajo ain't a visionary leader. He is good man but too timid to persuade or do anything to change the situation. I am afraid he will buckle under the pressure again. There is an old say about leadership. Waa inuusan macaan noqon oo la muudsado. Mudh kharaarna waa inuusan noqon oo masiiba ahe. farmaajo is too sweet, and good hearted. Good qualities, but Somalia became a jungle in the last 21 years and it needs a leader with the Stick and carrot qualities.

The guy is not a great visionary, he has a good hearted team and he recieved good favorites from the media, like amin Amir and universal tv, I don't know but I heard Amin never portraited him bad while he was in power. Also he came to power and reaped the fruits of the work done by his predecessors. He surrounded himselve with the likes of Gaas, Drs Maryan, and many technocrats. good luck to Tayo Party.
  9. Sorry for Ken, hope he will try it again next. London needs him.
  10. Ken Livingstone 'to catch up on gardening' after election loss The defeated London mayoral candidate Ken Livingstone has described the Tory victor, Boris Johnson, as a "do nothing mayor". The veteran Labour politician said Mr Johnson, during his first term in office, simply "carried on opening the things I started". Mr Livingstone, who is retiring from front line politics, warned that after eight years of Mr Johnson, firms will have decided that London "isn't working" and will move elsewhere. He added that he would spend his time now catching up on gardening after spending months campaigning.
