Even though I am from Xamar, I think The Fedaral government should stick to the constitution which is essentially the thing that brought them to power and stop antagonizing people around the country. The constitution gives certain devolution rights to the citizens and provided they get together and decide to form a state with two or more of the former 18 provinces, then they can. I strongly believe the Government mishandled this issue with blind fury. What they should have done is be the "Government" and urge the locals to form their states while providing them with expertise, financial support and maintaining the "Elder" distance and overseeing the family, not getting in their and fighting with the kids. By doing this, it has completely shot to pieces the credibility of the Government not to mention the fact that they lost a golden opportunity to strengthen grassroots Democracy by encouraging this devolution process. finally, this is one of many groups they have antagonized. From what I noticed so far, they managed to alienate most of the International agencies working out of Mogadishu( They are all smiles, but privately, they have been iced and abused, and they in turn are busy creating a certain "opinion"around the world for this government), they have also alienated all the neighboring countries( whether you like it or not they are in the country under AMISOM and you need them as much as they need you), They have also managed to do similar things to many other international bodies including the EU and others. Don't be fooled by all the visits that are happening in good old Mogadishu, nothing will materialize, they are all going through the motions and in a short period of time funds will start to dry out. The honeymoon is nearing the end and they just don't get it!

20 Million in return for what?. It is too small a figure and If USA really wanted to help they would have announced billions. Having said that, the leadership need to understand they are not the bloody taxi service that get called to the bloody airport everyday. The fact that they are agreeing to receive them at the airport is simply going to allow all the other internationals to demand the same and claim the city is not safe enough for them to go. They used to go to Villa somalia in the last two years when at times it was quite dangerous. Quite frankly I am very disappointed with this whole saga.

Ok........just to point the obvious, but shouldn't we be asking why somaliland supports all these terrorists in the first place. We had godane coming home to get his mrs pregnant each year and according to some reports the woman has had 5-8 kids this decade depending on who you ask. Before you all start jump up and down, I am not trying to discuss the woman, but rather the fact that having his babies each year is an indication of his return to his homeland every year. Bottom line; these guys weren't caught, they were returning to their base of operations as always, only this time their victim was to big a name and their route back too well known, not to mention that the place had already been previously identified by more or less the whole world as a safe heaven form AS.They didn't have choice. Before you all start going Moral, spare a thought to the three people that are heavily wounded by this monster while they tried to apprehend him. Actually this is true. I was but only 5 minutes away heading to the place and had just gone past Baar Fiat when I heard the blast. I could tell it was quite huge, so we turned back and called around. A few of our friends who were having lunch there waiting for us told us casualties are a must given the number of wounded and walking wounded they saw and they are amongst them. The other day it was the PM's house, then Galkacyo, yesterday it was the Great sheikh they assassinated, now Liido. Very systematic?

This is by far the most shocking news I have heard this year. Ilaahey Janatul Firdausa ha ka waraabiyo shiikha. The sheikh was one whose credentials and calibre as a scholar none of those mad men in AS could question and he was the one voice who stood up to them and they had no answer to him. They decided to kill him instead. His message shall live on Insha Allah because he has already shown them for what they are by not only questioning them Islamically, but proving them a bunch of power hungry, blood thirsty mad men. He has done his duty as a scholar and May Allah accept his supplications Amiin. I wish all the other scholars would follow his example and Stand up for their people. I visited both Saxafi and City Plaza Last night to see what the hype was all about and was quite disappointed. Don't get me wrong, plenty of talent etc, but the whole thing was so alien to our people that it was a fake copy at that!. I didn't like the whole thing one bit. It is ok in the western world as I remember it(feels likes a long time), but out here what we need is not to copy other societies, in fact we should be focused on "Somali" themes and celebrations. I would have loved to see some Somali traditional dances being played everywhere. I was in Addis just two weeks ago and saw first hand how those people hold on to their culture and values. In Fact the socialites their always have a blend of Tradition with everything they do and no party is complete without it having a majority of Habasha dances. I was kind of jelous of their respect for their culture! I was saddened by the displays I saw in Xamar last night and left ten minutes later.
