actually, I believe it is a step in the right direction that people are now debating and basing their arguments on the "Constitution". Yes, there is a dire need to make the constitution available to people so they are not mislead. Unfortuntely we don't have an independent body that is trustworthy, and will not get involved in politics that will offer an unbiased understanding of the constitution. The constitution is the basis of Governance for the Country and needs to be understood by all. Then we have the difficult job of getting people to abide by it. Xaaji must be bought the basics of his new constitution!

oba hiloowlow;927242 wrote: lool why would you think that Abdiweli Gaas and Shariif Ahmed did a good job Lool!, war iska daa waa kuu jeedaaye lol!. you are right, the previous admin did so much and people just don't realize the amount of foundation they built which is what keeps the current admin moving at the moment. Dr Gas brought to the table huge capacity and being a graduate of the JFK School of governance at Harvard, he had the credentials, but he made things happen. Kheyr Ilaahey ha siiyo intii ka soo shaqeesey horumarka dalka. I am sometimes critical of the current admin because all they had to do is take it further and in some areas particularly on reconciliation they truly suck. They put to much emphasis on the international relation completely forgetting they need to reconcile the people at home They don't for instance hold regular get togethers at home and provide the forum conducive to reconciliation. the platform exists and was done last year. I just wish they would pay more attention to that part, without which nothing else will be possible.

Xaaji Xunjuf;927114 wrote: Well it sure gets aid its minimum but its gets aid and no federal goverment signs it for them , Somaliland and Somalia agreed in their previous deal to share the aid thats what it said. Now is aid important no for the people of Somaliland not really as i told you i am not excited at all. The so called federal goverment is guarded by Amisom troops it cannot make its own security choices as for Militarization and that I believe arms are sold on the international market as long as you show the $. Another point is the Koonfurians have a hard time understanding their own geographical map as they claim Somalia and Somaliland are one country in their minds that's not he case. Raaskaambooni to raas caseer, but do you know where raas caseer is located its located on the most northern port of the bari region and raskmaambooni is near the Kenyan border. I always find it funny when koonfurians utter Somalia is from raskambooni to raas caseer they automatically unintentionally exclude Somaliland which is a good thing though. By the way we are not stuck together you just haven't moved on thats all wala kala danayste adeer beri hore dad uun ba wali cidla jafaya. Any Shrinks in the house?.......Oba ask el-presidente to seek Aid in the form of 1000 Shrinks to be sent to Hargeisa for the local population re-orientation exercises. Xaaji ought to be the first in that list. War ka soo gaara dadku ma noolee!

ilkahaaga waawen aan gartey ;), I have great respect for Dr Gaas, He covered so much ground for Somalia in the short period he was in charge, MashaAllah.

Xaaji Xunjuf;927091 wrote: Somalia still doesn't get the bilateral aid to the level it wanted its still mostly NGO but its getting there with international loans. But i am not very excited when it comes to aid although Somaliland and Somalia agreed to share the aid, in the previous agreement Somaliland and Somalia agreed on that and president hassan said he honors those agreements signed by his predecessor. Still i am not excited when it comes to aid oday maybe you are. The bigger objective is much and much more important than aid and some fundings. Actually Somaliland has found away to sign deals with Foreign countries regarding investment The Somaliland Development Corporation (SDC) has been set up to facilitate international investment in Somaliland for the benefit of the Somaliland people. The SDC circumvents the problem of non-recognition by providing a transparent, accountable and enforceable means by which investors can participate in Somaliland ventures. So the Somalilanders found a way how to deal with this and it seems to be working for now. And when it comes to aid the Brits and the danish give Somaliland some sort of bilateral aid, its not much to be excited about, but its working. So as i said it is not important Oday the end goal is much and much more important, than sadaqo gaalo bixnayso ileen sadaqo gaal bixinayo in la isugu faano ilamaha aniga adeer. Ok, this is getting quite tiresome, but alas I am stuck with you!. Are you sure you are Somali BTW?, Let me re-phrase that again . Somaliland does not and cannot reach any bilateral agreements period !.when it comes to the funds being released by certain Europeans and countries along with the US, this only happens after they sign with the Federal Government. Like it or not, when it comes to foreign agreements, The Federal Government of Somalia will reach such agreement on yours and all other Somali's behalf. This will happen in the London conference and every other place that issues relating to the Territory that is Somalia is discussed, (From raas caser to raas kambooni and all that lies in between is concerned)whether they are financial, military, treaties etc. I hope that clears things. Beyond that, If you still maintain some small scale investment from a few unscrupulous investors equates Sovereignty, then you are in a worse shape than I previously thought brother.

Xaaji Xunjuf;927073 wrote: ^^ What are you talking about , the Kooonfurians can have it all as long as long as SL is Separate, the people of Somaliland are happy and so are its leaders with this fantastic decision. You can take all the aid you guys are addicted on. But Somaliland will not be attending the conference. As for Puntland and the rest for Somalia thats Something the Koonfurians have to solve them selves. The conference its self is just about Somalia probably about Somalia's improvements piracy shabab security and what not, it doesn't concern Somaliland. The only hot topic that concerns Somaliland is the Somalia and Somaliland talks and Somaliland will attend that and will also try to organize a conference in a foreign country along with Somalia, to talk to Somalia. This is the thing Adeer Silaanyo and his predecessors never told you. Regardless of what you say the President of Somalia still has the legal authority to speak for the whole of Somalia, which, like it or not Includes "somaliland". He can and will be receiving funds on your behalf, the same way the transitional Government before it and it's predecessors are the ones that had to sign for every piece of paper that would allow Somaliland to access any international funding. Therefore my good brother, now that President Hassan is actually leading a Permanent Somali Government, he has even more powers and irrespective of whether Silaanyo attends or not, he speaks for you, will receive everything on behalf of all somalis, and yes it does include you!. Of course, since he isn't your president, we the rest of Somalis are happy to take your share. I am game, Many thanks!

Xaaji Xunjuf;927062 wrote: Not true that conference was organized by the British goverment and they chaired it remember how the Somalia media went crazy they thought Somalia would be put under a UN trustee ship. The previous conference and the upcoming conference there was a huge difference remember how David had a nice breakfast with all the Somali faction leaders except the Somaliland President and government. The upcoming conference will be organized by Somalia and the united kingdom and they will jointly chair it.Somaliland is right not to attend the conference we applaud the Somaliland goverment for doing that. Whatever!, just don't complain if your share ends up in Puntland's hands. Just telling you in advance, as it stands Hassan Sheikh needs to bring the D-block back in line and this could potentially be a good carrot to dangle in front of Puntland/Juballand.........Oba!, pass the message on!

Xaaji Xunjuf;927006 wrote: I think its the correct decision because the Conference will be co chaired by President hassan and David Cameron of the UK, and its a conference entirely discussing the issues problems of Somalia, which doesn't include Somaliland. Even if a mini meeting between Somaliland and Somalia was planned it will not be productive. Somaliland and Somalia should discuss their future relations not in conference like that but in a separate conference they jointly organized. I truly don't see the issue here. Sometimes you have to swallow your pride to get what you want. The last conference was co chaired by Cameron and Sheikh Sharif. silaanyo still attended. This is a gamble gone bad.

Haatu the Somali kilil admin and the Oromo kilil admin haven't agreed at all. Ileey and co tried several times to solve this. But the TPLF refused to solve this matter and want the status quo some how. The ONLF map is different but they to have not raised this issue unfortunately. As I said, bin the TV's, Laptops and phones and instead teach the boys and girls to breed!. Seriously though, we do need a well planned population increase policy. No doubt this will come under attack from the usual Western governments/organisations and our response should be"Look at your own ageing populations!" , ignore them and simply breed away. For that to happen though, we need a Somali wide understanding of the threat we face, agreement that we all need to be getting down to business and stop this mad civil war

As long as the gallas are pushed back. Balayada oromada breed like rabbits. We need to start a well planned breeding programme for somalis similar to the one carried out by ceausescu in Romania back in the late seventies and early 80's that resulted in a 10 fold increase in population, which now means they have one of the highest ratio of young to old in europe. If only we had such thoughtful leaders, regardless of whether they are dictators or not. Instead we have been blessed with a bunch of Morons who only think of their personal wellbeing, never realizing the grave danger lurking around the corner. Crap!, just realised something, we all should be doing our bit instead of having this out in the virtual world. These guys breed because they don't have TV's or internet!. Right, qori tuur ayaa hada loo baahanyahay. Gabdhaha noo tiriya, koley dhowr anaa idin ka haynayee ,

somalee;926274 wrote: You would think exposure to other cultures, the west, education and being a witness or a victim to the horrors of a civil war that our country hasn't yet healed from would change the minds of Somalis but that's obviously and unfortunately not the case. The recent happenings in Kismayo and jubooyinka politics has revealed a dark side of us. Subxanallah. What are we going to achieve if there's an all-out civil war? Our country goes back to square one again, where we were in the start of the 90s. I call upon you all, to please desist from getting involved in this. I'm assuming most of us have university degrees and or stable jobs, and I can easily see a member sending money to clan X or Y in the liberation or capture of Kismayo depending on which side you are on. Aren't you all tired of being second class citizens in foreign countries? The recent lifting of the arms embargo and the current events in Kismayo are a perfect recipe for another civil war, which I believe is gonna be bloodier and deadlier. If there's going to be such a war, Somalis in the diaspora will have much say in it's magnitude and so on. We can all prevent this from happening, or at least reduce the size (in the event of a breakout) if we refrain from any support, especially a financial one. Cheers Somaale asked you all to put aside your clannish attitudes and refuse to go back to the madness of the past and your answers are disappointing. Brother Somaale, I am with you and second your opinion!, finally a sane somali! mashaAllah

Let the games begin. For the moment we will defend The good General

Say what you like, All roads lead to Rome which in this case is Xamar!, you shall be reporting back in due course:D:D For the record, I am pointing out the Somaliland former Generals/Colonels that committed atrocities because Somaliland is making itself out to be a Victim during that Era and not active participants. There were lots of Victims in Somaliland, but a lot more in the rest of the country which their boys were committed for the "Government". I simply oppose this hypocrisy!, thats all.

Saalax;923476 wrote: Odey no need for chest beating. If you have a legitimate case against Siilaanyo go ahead. Who is stopping your ilk but to say the Somalia government wants to interfere and protect war criminal Cali Samatar at the cost of Somalilanders at the same time Somalia wants relations with Somaliland is a farce. You are dreaming if you thought there is a Relation. You are province of somalia so are all the other fools like Faroole and Juballand and bay, hiiraan, Banaadir and every other party!. Secondly The government of somalia is not protecting anyone, simply pointing out that justice must served. In this case Ali Samatar is a former Premier of the Nation and as such has immunity, the same way the current one will have. When you talk about crimes, why don't you also talk about the crimes SNM were committing at the time?. The Government was not the only player. so my dear brother, You are not after justice, Just sheer revenge. Call a spade a spade, I will respect that, but don't bring this nonsense you call justice to us and insult our collective intelligence! Finally, you are harboring Dhagaweeyne and Tanzania in hargeisa still :D

Saalax;923470 wrote: Why don't you hand over Morgan, Maslah Siad Bare etc? Mr "Hand over" We are not in the game of Jungle law practices. Cali Samatar was found guilty in an impartial court in the west. Maybe we should file a case against Silaanyo for the massacres of the folks in Khaatumo?, we have all seen the tanks crashing poor innocent kids in Kalshaale. Or maybe we can file against Silaanyo for the atrocities he committed against the people of Somalia during his rebel years?. there were plenty of people that were killed in that era because of his dirty war?. hmmm, decisions, decisions I am sure you see where this is Going, oh and it doesn't stop there, the entire current administration can be put on the dock for crimes against humanity in Khaatumo and Awdal. No doubt plenty of takers can be found who will testify(Truthfully mind you) that such atrocities took place. Maybe the rest of Somalis should start fund raising to build such a case in America where they make up the majority, UK, Europe where they also make the Majority. Do you really want to go down this route yaa Saalax?.

Hand Over Dhagaweyne and Tanzania then start talking of Justice, otherwise I will always support the plight of this former General of Somalia and this is one vote winner as far as I am concerned. It will be hard to overlook the Government's shortcomings, but I will support them when they are right and in this case they are right!.
