  8. Ameena, there's an entire article I found on when to use double letters in Somali words. Here's the link http://wardheernews.com/Articles_12/October/Maxamed_Baashe/22_Xarfaha_labanlaabma.html
  9. Kadafi's story wasn't about a lost handbag, but about the supposed evils of wahhabism and it's adherents. Kadafi is a sufi fanatic hellbent on disparaging the puritanical Najdi school of thought any opportunity he gets.

  16. Much of the beauty of the Somali language lies in its diversity. I love learning new words not used in my region, and i'd love to learn the unuka dialect, along with af-may may. I've also heard that in some parts of Bari they speak an almost unintelligble dialect. Can someone confirm this?
  17. Tarxan is not even unuka, waa unuka walaalkood. His clan rhymes with the OG clan. First time i heard it I was laughing... sounded like counterfiet cagdheers lool.
  18. I think we should all call it laxoox, no matter how ugly it sounds instead of using a habashi word.
  19. I call it laxoox. I do admit though, laxoox sounds like some sort of a boogie man lol.
