It has taken the ethiopians, the kenyans, the somali so called army, american air strikes, european intellegence services and they are still fighting and still control much of the south. They vacate a town then strike once the occupying force feels abit comfertable. They are fighting a long term strategy. As for puntland, saxib you dont have to joke with anyone we are use to meeting regularly in combat as was the case in las canod a few months ago. Your so called army is not that strong, you have failed to even keep puntland united as the case with las **** state and west puntland have shown, you have lost east sanag and can not even liberate las canod which is 23 miles from Garowe. Alshabab has been slightly weakend financally but what they currently lack in fiances they have in morale, objective and in warfare morale and objective is half the battle. In time Ethiopia will withdraw and so will kenya when there mandate also expires. because they are simply in it for the money and dont want stability in somalia. therefore in the long run the South will be the dominon of alshabab, with alshabab's union with atm in the north, they have effectively reached bosaso over night. therefore with alshabab atm will only get stronger and knowing alshabab fighters will eventually move from the south to outside bosaso. so all in all...get your defences ready if you wanna continue existing, dont believe this AU, Ethiopian and Kenyan hype. gaurd yourself, id rather have you as an enemy then alshabab... i have to admit your alot easier. .
  11. MOGADISHU, Feb 25 (Reuters) - An Islamist militia group in Somalia's semi-autonomous Puntland region has merged with the al Shabaab rebel group, said the insurgents on Saturday, a union which threatens to destabilise the relatively secure area targeted by oil explorers. Al Shabaab said it wanted to scrap the licenses of Western oil and gas firms drilling in Puntland. The al Qaeda-backed insurgents used social media site twitter to declare all oil and gas exploration and drilling licenses nullified. While they do not hold the administrative control in the region needed to enforce their demand, the militants could try to target installations operated by Western oil companies. The Puntland administration was not immediately available for comment. The union comes as the insurgents are being weakened, relinquishing ground to African Union troops around the Somali capital, Mogadishu, and losing territory to Kenyan and Ethiopian forces in parts of southern and central Somalia. Puntland security officials have previously said the Islamist militia camped out in the Golis hills outside the port city of Bosasso is led by Yasin Khalid Osman. "I ... the leader of Golis ranges Islamists have signed an agreement with al Shabaab leader Sheikh Muktar Abu Zubeir. We are now al Shabaab," a voice identifying itself as Osman said in an audio recording on al Shabaab's website. "I urge residents to take part in the jihad against the Christian invaders and the Somali infidels that work with them," he said, referring to the foreign troops inside Somalia. Osman rarely makes statements and it was not immediately possible to verify his voice. SHOWCASE Last month, Canadian oil and gas exploration company Africa Oil Corp. began drilling an exploratory well in Puntland, the first to be sunk in the country since civil war erupted two decades ago. Africa Oil and its partners in the two Puntland licences, Australia's Red Emperor and Range Resources, are targetting prospective resources of over 300 million barrels of recoverable oil. In a country that has lacked effective central government for two decades, Puntland's relative stability is showcased by foreign powers advocating a loose federal political system in Somalia. Some donors have focused development funding on the semi-autonomous region as a reward. However, Puntland's authorities have blamed the militants for the mounting insecurity in the region. While al Shabaab control parts of southern and central Somalia, they still have a much lighter presence further north. "The jihad will be redoubled in those areas," Sheikh Ali Mohamud Rage, al Shabaab's spokesman, told Reuters. Source: Reuters:cool::cool:

  13. The conference was a big success...salute to the president for the effort..another step forward for Somaliland and believe me the neo-siadist lot are running scared these days...seriously scared. - We are 23 miles from the neo-siadist capital of Garowe and can bomb the hell out if we want. The so called consititution has been rejected by both the south and the north, the only signaturies are piratland, galmudug, ahlul wal jamaca and the tfg with a term of 6-7 months left - Somaliland has secured financial support to the tune of 150 million and been excepted as seperate from the rest of Somalia via international concensus - the TFG has been told its over as of 6-7 months - AU and Ethiopian presence will not change the situation as it is only temporary, as alshabab still wages a calculated gurilla war - Pirateland has been divided into three pieces, las caysr, west puntland and now atm is just outside bosaso as alshabab. - buhoodle has been accepted as part of somaliland via international concensus. desperate times for our enemies.

One wonders whether he had read the outcome of that same conference in which he was telling us that it's bringing Somalia from it's disreputable position. Well, I guess our old Cowke is always good for a laugh or two, indeed.

Go back to your recluse. Exposure to the real world might leave you in shock. Alliyah your beautiful blue flag was first raised in Hargaisa on june 26 1960 the first capital of an independent somali state, the people screamed...Somolow calan tagta, in pooring rain, kana siib kana saar...today they use that very flag as toilet paper. so all in all your blue flag means nothing seeing that the people who first raised it spit on it today. It has no significance, do you even know what the five pointed star stand for?? It stands for: Somaliland Somalia Djibouti NFD Fifth region of Ethiopia did you see khatumo on that list?? Today your beautiful blue flag, in reality has one point remaining. if even that. as for having villages, again walal do some research. Hargaisa has a population of 1.5 million people, Burco has 400,000 people, Borama has 250,000 people, Berbera has 60,000, erigavo has 120,000 people. whats the population of buhoodle?? hahaha. miskaneed. As for the real world..i wake up walk out of the house and smell the sweet sent of spring in the air, existence is bliss..but by the likes of your anti-somaliland crusade as of late it doesnt seem that way for you unforuntately.

Oodweyne;794448 wrote: Dear Mintid , In so far as the kernel of a political break-through for Somaliland which was buried in "Point Six" of the communique is concern; one can say, it's true, we have broken the said "catch 22" (once and for all) as you and Ngonge have amply explained in here. Hence, on that point (which is the most important outcome for Somaliland in that conference) is essentially the sort of a break-through that one could be forgiven if one is incline to "scream" with it at the nearest roof-top, indeed... Now, in so far as the other side-issue such as Khatumo and Awdal is concern, theirs was never something that ought to have troubled us, if only that is, we had maintained the old politics of President Rayale in dealing with this region. Which means, "steady-as-she-goes-approach" , with a boiling of a frog, gradually, being the "operative analogy" we deal with this issue. But, sadly, our current President Silanyo decided to get clever in here and "trust" that old snake's oils salesman call Prof. Galeydh in here, and the end result is what we see today. Hence, call me harsh in here, but, I put the blame, squarely, on the shoulders of the current government where this debacle of Khatumo-seeg nonsense is concern. And, that we dodge the bullet where they are concern in the London Conference is not something that come out of us playing a blinder in here. But, on the contrary, it's the Brits who have decided that if they heap too much humiliation on the shoulders of President Silanyo by inviting this Khaatumo-seeg folks to their conference, then, perhaps, president Silanyo may not even survive impeachment when he returns home. So that is that. But, still, even, if one didn't worked for it, one can say, that the Brits decided to put "Point Six" into the final resolution, could in a way "cement" (as you hold) our legal right to rule this Khaatumo-seeg communities. And, hence, provided we have "facts" on the ground affirming our right to rule these disputed areas (by militarily ruling it, that is), then, one can think of it, that international community had politically and legally "accepted our right to these regions and therefore they have assented to the "territorial continuity" of Somaliland (including these areas) as described in that communique. And, that of course, will be so much of a "icing" on the cake in here. Which means, effectively, these areas are not for the TFG or for that matter pirate-land to get their silly minds involved in, from here on out indeed. As for the internal house-keeping is concern, I do understand the volume in which your side-stepping this issue speak in here. Hence, lets hope those political elites in back-home will regroup in here and take advantage in this lull of a period of the half-time sort, by way of "replacing" the tired full-court-attack-team (using basketball analogy in here), particularly, before the August and the beginning of the proper second half of the game between Somaliland and whoever ruling Somalia at that time, begins in earnest, indeed. Which means, this indefatigable minister of the foreign affairs, really need to warm the bench for a while henceforth, and he must not be brought into the second half at all, indeed... :D
