Som@li;762348 wrote: what are the stats? could be cuz more girls born than boys, more girls reach adulthood(more boys die as innocent child soldiers), more baby boys die in babies or during pregnanccy, so it adds up! Yes that also plays a factor, seeing as in the future the women will outnumber the men with 50:1 I know that's a shocking figure. But I think even if there wouldn't be such a big difference in the numbers between men and women the hell would still consist most of it's part of women.
  7. May Allah bless all of the people of the Ogadenia region and the rest of Somalia and grant them peace and freedom in their souls and give them their land back!
  8. My people are creative, lyrical, artistic, and sentimental Even thought they have been oppressed for over 150 years They carry on life the best way they know how to Most of them didn’t get the chance for proper education yet You find pure talent everywhere you look Everything is expressed through poetry, songs, and some form of art Dhaanto is the supreme form of cultural dance performed at every occasion Their history isn’t written in that many books thus It is written in the hearts of every single one of them My people are strong, resilient, rock-solid and sturdy Even though they have been oppressed over 150 years They carry on life the way they know how to When life beats them to the ground they get up and try again When hard times hit they still convey their daily lives When there isn’t enough food or water their smiles never fade away When the Wayane guns them down they manage ways to stay positive Their hardships aren’t written in many books consequently A conversation with one will fill you in to the maximum My people are unique, inimitable, incomparable, and remarkable Even though they have been oppressed over 150 years They carry on life as the best way they know how to They continue to rebuild everything destroyed by the Wayane With them life is cherished even more because of their penury It gives them courage and willpower to stand against something so powerful To say no to suffering and no to all the malicious crimes committed against them It takes a lot of audacity to stand up for what you believe is right My people had been fighting for their rights and freedom for a long time They have been saying no the ethnic cleansing of the people of the Ogaden region Their stories aren’t written in many books, hence Their expressions define the true meaning of their struggle My people live in the occupied land of the Ogaden region of Ethiopia With my hope inshallah they will be free from destruction and demolition They will have the means necessary to a self-governing country They will have the right to decide their own fate and inshallah they will enjoy life without a hassle Their daily life struggle isn’t shared with the world: that is why A day with one of them will change your worldview and your life forever My people ... my people ... I love my people ... Free the occupied land of the Ogaden region ... Written by Hodan Heello Green represents the fertility and richness of the land. Blue stands for the dignity and integrity of the people. Red symbolises the continuity of the struggle for self determination and freedom. The white star represents the commitment and unity of the people. " frameborder="0" allowfullscreen>
  9. Valenteenah - Your totally right some men make misuse of that interpretation trying to justify their stingyness and greediness that's wrong and those men aren't good men, because good men are good for their women and treat them the best they can knowing that they will only enter paradise if they have treated their wifes with respect and within the best of their abilities. A good man knows his wife is the door to paradise and a good woman knows that her husband is the door to paradise. So each are obligated to treat each other good and with respect. Malika - Haha you reminded of a quote I think it was from Malcolm X saying to teach a man is to teach a individual and to teach a woman is to teach and liberate a nation. The Zack - Majority of those in hell are women that's what I meant to say but I may have rephrased the title wrong thanks for pointing it out. With the title I didn't mean most women go to hell I was referring to the women in the hell. Blame it for english being my third language the trouble of being multi lingual Don't forget it's a two way path you have to be grateful aswell that you got us women we have rights over you men too
  10. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “I was shown Hell and I have never seen anything more terrifying than it. And I saw that the majority of its people are women.” They said, “Why, O Messenger of Allaah?” He said, “Because of their ingratitude (kufr).” It was said, “Are they ungrateful to Allaah?” He said, “They are ungrateful to their companions (husbands) and ungrateful for good treatment. If you are kind to one of them for a lifetime then she sees one (undesirable) thing in you, she will say, ‘I have never had anything good from you.’” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari) There is alot of misconceptions going around when it comes to most people in hell being women. And it's mostly men who got this misconception that women must be evil, bad, not religious enough and disobedient towards Allah etc. none of those things are true. It's because women are ungrateful for the good that there husbands do for them and are ungrateful for the good that is done to them in general and also because they don't appreciate their husband. So as you can see it's not because women are bad evil or disobedient or disobedient towards Allah it's basically because their never happy with what they got and the treatment they get and don't value it much which causes further problems. So the lesson of the day is: Women and i'm referring to the married women be more appreciative and grateful for all the good things that your husband does for you eg his appearance, character, gifts given to you, the way he treats you (if it's good) etc. even if it's lil, it's the lil things that make a big difference. And also because of that you need to give more charity to save yourself from ending up in hell fire that's the solution given in islam. To the single women the sooner you learn and realise this the better and the sooner you can start saving yourself from unnecessary mistakes we all make. I know it's so hardwired into us to always have a wandering eye and see if the grass is greener on the other side but we can atleast try and change that aspect into something good. That's the avdantage you got over married women you can make a better start then them and learn from their mistakes and avoid them in the future. The only positive side to this is that unmarried women aka single women will never enter hell for being ungrateful and not being appreciative enough of their husband aint that something to be happy about
  11. Damn nothing better as entertainment then seeing oldies fight with bakorads flying. The thin guy is the white version of Muhammed Ali Ps i'm supporting Abtigiis he is the thin one, Go Abtigiis Go Go.

Though I've seen the video before it was worth the watch again, thanks for sharing. Exactly same here when I saw that video that's what came up to my mind too great minds think alike. We would achieve more as a individual ands as a ummah if everyone made a change first starting with themselfs instead of complaining and doing nothing about it. And by doing that you will inspire others to do the same so the ball keeps rolling.

But a true real friend isn't easily replaceable it's hard to find such person in the first place. There are too many fake friends, backstabbbers, frenemies (enemies in disguise) around on this world.
  14. Spilling the dirty laundry of others has never gotten anyone far, except if you are writing about the dirty laundry of a celebrity anyhow nice poem.
  15. Alpha Blondy not only in North America but also in Europe we experienced the same thing. Anyways just my luck the previous two forums I have been on had been shut down at the same time and I thought not this one too. Is it me or everytime I join a forum it gets shut down

You can write it in your dictionary you have learned a new word from me. Sayid gacaliso/gacaliye/macaanto/macaante is the right term to call your hubby or wifey by instead of using the aboowe/abaayo/walaal/walalo that's just aburd whoever does that.

  19. Carafaat;761563 wrote: Bluelicious, thanks. How do they adress you in your parts of the world? They either call me by my name or any other way you would approach a girl e.g. darling, babes, chickie, hun etc. Now that you mention it Somali men from where I live don't use huuno, walaalo, abaayo etc. I've never experienced them using those words towards me or any other Somali girl I know and don't know. They seem to be more civilised and modern then Somali men from other countries I can tell that from experience. But i've noticed as soon I visit a country populated with alot of Somalis like The States, Australia and UK I get bombarded with the above Somali words.
  20. I have noticed some members have red bars what does that mean I thought you could only have green and grey bars? 21. Narniah;761493 wrote: I too have picked up on the the filming guys tone, it seemed like he was throwing his friend under the bus. But truth be told the guy might be a 'fob' but he got swagga on point! He's ridiculously funny, I watched the video several times each time It left me in tears out of laughter. I love the ending and of course when he does the 'Billy jean' song. lol Same here girl but I had to rewatch some parts because I didn't understood it very well. That's something I noticed too most fobs got a swagga maybe because they don't care how the rest of the world perceives them they just seem to do their own thing and it works. But the drama starts as soon as they change and become arrogant just because they are now in the west.

Anyways, I'm grateful that I woke up this morning and blessed with another day, alhamdulilah - count your blessings. Narniah, the ending was funny lol@open available..kan caadi ma aha. kursiga ba ka dhacay by then I gotta give it to him he was funny indeed I seriously couldn't get past that part I wonder what it was that green gross stuff, I forwarded the video a bit when I saw that, but I agree with Somalicentric this video was not made for fun it rather was a '' i'm not laughing with you but at you '' video and was to embarass him just because he was different that's not a nice thing to do especially if they are your friend or family.
