The word xishood is a noun. You actually say Isku xishoo and not Isku xishood. A common mistake often made by those qurbaha ku raagay. Besides that, this place is overflowing with topics of boring clan-politics these days and we need a break, ma is tidhi?

Abaarso Tech is highly rated too. I think though generally these institutions do not meet the international criteria with an exception of few.

I don't understand why a member's first reaction after watching this clip would be to start defending Arabs. It's not a natural, sensible reaction from a real Somali. Regardless of how you would love to portray yourself here in the forums. How can anyone, after watching this clip, come to the conclusion that somehow this is a conspiracy to dehumanize Arabs? How can THAT be a first reaction from a Somali? SMH!

This is too sad. The screaming brought tears to my eyes. Arabs are a sad bunch of people.

Saudis and the Khaliijis worship the US, they call it Al-amriika and anything associated with the US is highly revered in that part of the world. They strongly believe in their hearts that they are inferior to Americans and the west, and indeed they are. The only place in the world where a religious scholar would doubt the virginity of a 5 years old child, end up brutally breaking that virginity himself and murdering her in cold blood. That is supposed to be one of the most intelligent, most educated, most compassionate persons in Saudi Arabia. What about the normal Saudis? Do you really expect to be treated fairly and with respect in such a society?

Che -Guevara;915236 wrote: Have you ascertained that 'fact'? I'm tempted to reply in kind but it would lead to something that I don't want. To answer your silly question in a more honest manner, we used to say Asians are hairy and they have a smaller thing. It's a popular belief.

Why would anyone boast about marrying a hairy, smelly, tiny thinged Asian?

Barre Hiiraale Kismayo is under Kenyan occupation
somalee replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
I didn't open the link you posted but Barre has no business saying anything about Kismayo. He had brief spells controlling the city as a brutal warlord together with his goons, so what? That somehow has made his clansmen believe somewhat Kismayo belongs to them, which is quite laughable. -
An interesting read. I have heard stories of Yibro people speaking in a ''weird'' dialect and some Somalis believe that it's Hebrew. The notion that Yibros are descendants of Jews is believed by many Somalis but it doesn't apply to all other Gaboyes or the clans that are categorized as ******. The writer's claim that all Gaboyes/******s have jewish ancestry is not correct. He raises interesting issues though with regards to the different treaments these clans receive from the bigger Somali clans. I think they are despised most in the North and Somali galbeed. Even though they are not physically harmed in these communities but they are openly despised and intermarriages are a taboo. However in Puntland they are married by the biggest and noblest sub-clans which is a great thing. I think perhaps the North should borrow a leaf from Puntland on this issue :-D

They'll need lots of that. There's a right wing government in Tel Aviv and war is imminent.

How can a sane Somali woman with an iota of self-respect ever marry an ajnabi? Waxaas waa filth, naag cadaan u hooyatay waa ish iyo uff. Wallahi dhaqankeena markii la eego, naagta ajnabi guursata waa naag dhimatay. Haduu doono ajnabigu wadaad ha ahaadee. Nasabiyadu waa qaali, wixii qudhun ah unbaa nasabiyada ka gudba.

Wadani;914484 wrote: What about the perpetrators of the 2006-2009 massacre in xamar? Many of them still hold positions too. Whats with u peope and ur selective and self-serving readings on Somali crimes and justice? That massacre was carried out by a government that had all Somali clan members amongst their ranks. The same goes for the opposition (Islamic Courts Union). Tens of native Hargeysawis lost their lives fighting for the ICU. You can't give this war a clan dimension, it was purely based on ideology and Somalis from all regions and clans took part in it.

oba hiloowlow;914471 wrote: Stop the BS both my ayeeyo's hail from that specific clan anigu waxaa diidanahay victimizing soomali oo dhan baa is dishay in the 90s if you believe only your clan baa dad laga dilay ilaahay haka caafiyo taas What a load of BS! A particular clan was targeted Oba and we all know that. I understand some minority clans like shaanshi and others also suffered, but the D-bloc was specifically targeted here. The dictator terrorized the North but when the Northerners liberated themselves, they didn't turn on the D-bloc members to revenge, even though they could easily have done so if they wanted. What was done to these people in the name of a clan will never be justified. At least it would have been understandable if the Northerners were the perpetrators cause their women and children were brutally massacred by the military machine of Barre, but what reason did the southerners have to carry out such heinous, and unreasonable crimes against these people? I think pure hate was the reason here, and it can never be forgotten. To add salt to injury, their properties have been taken away from them and for more than 2 decades the robbers are still reluctant to give back.

Some of the perpetrators of the 1991 crimes hold political posts in Somalia, and are regarded by their clansmen as heroes and noble men.

Lol . What sort of a woman is being impressed here though? Depends

I was only trying to point out the irony in expecting so much from an utter and shameless nepotist, and how that tells a lot about the current state of Somalia and the lack of better leadership. About Che's posts, this is not news to me, I knew the schedule of the president and the places he'd visit even before he left Villa Somalia for the AU summit. http://www.somaliaonline.com/community/showthread.php/69546-Qosolka-Madaxweynaha -

QansaxMeygaag;914031 wrote: Explain yourself? Nepotist - me or Che or both? The hope is THERE and it is PALPABLE and even Mr Smiley's worst enemies will concede that; so deal with it. Nepotist is the ''smiley'' president. I don't know anything about you and Che, are you nepotists too? The president is notoriously known for appointing to office people who are close to him by blood or otherwise. He has an ungodly obsession with his relatives and all Somalis know it. The ''New blood'' party may be literally referring to the blood of his own relatives. -
For me it's not just about reminiscing a past that seemed happy but there's something about the past that makes me wanna go back..
