  1. Oba great effort here – if Baadiyow & shariif don’t work out, you are wlc to join Tayo.
  2. “Somali NOC had already invited Abdi Bile to come to London to be the flag bearer, because it is a good image enhancement and publicity for all of us that the country’s once world champion is with us during the games—we are very grateful to him for accepting our invitation” the Somali NOC president Duran Ahmed Farah said in his Sunday’s press statement. Without taking anything away from Zamzam, cause she was great. Yet, this smells like a Duck. For weeks the Somali NOC paraded the guy in London, all of sudden they seem to buckled under pressure, one wonders? Just goes to show you the level of nepotism in administering anything fairly even in international sports , which we are expected finish dead last. For years Somali athletics programs have been used as NGO cash proxy by handful, the NOC group is sham.
  3. I was hoping Abdi Bile as flag bearer. Al Shariif must have demanded Areey gabadha iigu dhiiba calanka;)...I kid Good luck to them at their 400 & 1500 meters respectively - they are brave, considering who they will be going against.
  4. ^you spoke too early.. All the signs point to both SHariif's returning & one token D-block as PM....the nightmare continues Vote: tuning off somali affairs for the next four years
  5. ^^Qarxis good read, A_khadar - Xaglo is a devoid of thought, unprincipled hollow man who wants to stay relevant by exposing the gaps within the precarious nature of SSC regions....his time will pass
  6. AUN - Mahamed Cilmi. May allah give him Janatul Fardowsa.. There is no reason to really doubt, but I just wonder - if Taleex media gone overdrive with this, there was eerie feeling reading the first two paragraphs...

I got no quarrels with all these names you cited (i know its a shock to you, but including Farmaajo) gone from today's political sphere. I am with Tayo, as its broad based institution, which means I am very much comfortable with Dr.Maryama leading it all, unlike you oo wali individual daba taagan. What is baffling to me – is you awaiting an apology on a discredited allegation made by Mr.Halale who recanted long ago as evidence of proof.
  8. Mr. Halane's old lies re-packaged as a new story for political gains - in light of the recent systemic government corruption reports Mooge - adigu caadifad laciif ah baa ku gubayso. @Abwaan - Markaad suufiga noqon jirtaa la'gaaray. apology? really - with this as a source You don't have to like the guy, but, if you want call him a liar and cheat least you could do is stand on solid ground with a clear proof. Here is AP's report over a year ago (Dated 05/28/2011), when Mr Halane himself was in the hot-seat for misappropriation of gov't funds: Although the Associated Press reported that Fartaag’s claim was based on interview with politicians who witnessed the payment or received money in Mogadishu, the Somali finance minister said that the author of the report "spoke to none of the people who manage the government’s finances, whether it is the minister of finance or the accountant general." Finance Minister Halane also denied that he told the Associated Press that he had seen the prime minster personally receive $5 million USD in cash on two separate occasions. Despite the surprise of the TFG at allegations of corruption and mismanagement at the press conference they offered no direct rebuttals or proof to refute the charges contained in the report. In 2010 Somalia was rated #178, dead last, on Transparency International's scale of perceived corruption. Editor's Note: Although the TFG attacked the Associated Press for running the story, the information was not gathered by Katharine Houreld of the AP but from a report generated by the Somalia Public Finance Unit. Houreld has broken a number of stories on Somalia and this most recent scoop has been widely syndicated. 9. great stuff @Moonlight More proof - Somalia's droughts are man-made disasters...
  10. Its fine to take that elusive 'moral high ground' on this issue. Still, the base of your argument hasn't change - Ina atheerkay waa cut above the rest. No doubt Abdi-wali is qualified, but there are others too. He played a critical role in framing post-tfg governance even enduring with some scuffles. However, he wants to assert himself for that coveted position of presidency, this is where he is at par with the two Shariifs. If anything, perhaps he should encourage others to come forward using his clout as a king-maker. What has fuelled Somalia's political impasse has always been clan rivalries and the fear of domination, which altogether caused prolonging the political quagmire and mistrust that exists today. Support of individual for Tolka will not help Somalia get on its feet. What is needed are institution based on like minded people and not the drumbeats for individuals with high accolades. Abwaan – Somali news portals waa wada fraudulent miiran and only few are credible, sxbkaa wuxuu lahaa one of the original Somali domains Gedonet.com - haduu taas wadi waayay oo isaga campaign ahaan caawin lahayd - Siduu wadan dhan u wadi doono garanmaayo…
  11. ^^Abwaan, waa su'aale adigu sxbkaa Bashiir xagay wax u marayaan?.....isagu lacagahaan la'xadayna waxba kama helin website kiisii caawin lahaydna wuu iska xiray.
  12. Funy thread - I predict my Tolka leader will win beacause he is the most capable......
  13. ^^' If Sharrif and company come back post-tfg.....Federalism and tuulo states will be the rule of the game, until the eventual dismemberment of the nation
  14. Report may be garbage, but so is SOL politics on this issue. UN mafia headquartered in Nairobi produces scathing report of tfg leadership of the embezzlement and theft of funds - and, the folks in this board are at each other's throat on why their tolka leader is exempt.... the underlying theme of this report is well known fact: laundering public funds and corruption are system of governance for tfg. Even if one or two TFG leaders were wrongfully accused - that's such a futile number. The "Original Sin" of Somalis waa Laaluush iyo corruption.
  15. Thx for the clarification, GG being my favorite SOL lady, so befriending a Mistress was unsettling..... As for the Avatar, he has the closest thing to my nappy hair....I see you have issue with jareer now...
  16. ^^yaah - GG one of your close girl-friends waa mistress aah?
  17. Come august, Presidency will be on the Auction Block - who ever has the the most cash is theirs to lose. Not sure if the Prof Ahmed's salary / pensions can compete with Sh. shariif who just raised stakes. Few weeks ago, in a Nairobi meeting with business folks from Tolka - Shariif proclaimed he set a side about 17mill for his campaign and he is ready to give every parliamentarian a 4X4 and $50k. oba hiloowlow knows this, but will not confirm..

  19. The-freeman;848285 wrote: I'll let you ponder the underlined part as I think you're intelligent enough to see the clear analogy (hint: guy; seclusion;desert). The bold part: I only asserted that the discovery should not be used by the religious as evidence that their god/s exists.I asserted this because often scientific findings are used by religious people as evidence their claims are true when in fact it is the opposite. If religious texts provide all the important answers about nature, what is the point of experimenting and coming up with testable theories? We should have known about evolution as soon as Jesus said " I'm the son of god". PS: being wheelchair bound or being crippled does not mean you lose the ability to be a rational human being. His body might be broken but his mind is free, free to think. Also watch The Life Of Brian, might help you answer the underlined part. peace. aside from the petty tactics in presenting an argument, you are back to reinforcing your initial preconceived views. I didn’t expect superior persuasive arguments as to why the opposite is true. You accuse the believers of using science to justify as prove of their creator. And, yet, you claim the opposite is true and you are not able / willing to share this ‘superior’ rational insight that you’re privy to. You’re attempting to preemptively nullify believers for promoting science as testimony for the existence of a creator. Whilst, without explanation you state science proves the opposite. In this context, I suppose, you can now rationalize the origins of the big-bang dates back to scientific methods and experimentations and not a natural selection as your fellow militant atheist claim.
  20. ^All practicing Agnostic atheists are naming for themselves in this thread.
  21. More pranks huh? Whats with equating Scientology founded by guy on seclusion in California desert in the mid 80’s and his Xenu with the asked question at hand of ‘explaining’ the clear prove of godless world due to finding of a small atom....
  22. @Mario, You expect allot from atheist - Their rational is above explaining, for them to explain is to believe. That wheelchair bound crippled Prof. Hawking which all atheists huddle around has given up explaining the creation of evolution itself.
  23. I was referring to your grievance with 'desert to doctor' and media's role in chastising immigrants background, while immigrants are happy to play that subliminal subservient underdogs to highlight their success. Popular culture & media has been playing immigrant’s tales of 'rags to riches stories' for decades to show the superiority of their society. Their most iconic symbol of freedom 'statue of liberty' has words engraved “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free....." blah blah....one wonders aren’t Native Americans part of the poor and tired masses....?. This has been a dominant cultural selling technique that has been employed for many years and it’s not about to change.
  24. Reading it, this has been unnerving, nasty and poorly constructed piece. Poorly-written articles always are, and this one has been no exception. But, if you can grind it to the very end - this is classic 'liberator' anecdote on occupied lands. The heroics of UPDF and commander Lokech as liberators: Somali philosopher;847992 wrote: If you meet Uganda‘s contingent commander aka Contigal Brig. Lokech, he would pass as tall, lanky handsome man, who wouldn’t harm even a fly. He spends every three of five minutes looking on the ground as to avoid eye contact. Okay, shyness is a disposition known to be a preserve of skirts chasers. Naturally, my heart wondered how a commander who has given Al Shabaab sleepless nights can be that shy! Emphases on the weak and inept leadership of the occupied land, and 'liberator' being the only authority on the ground: Somali philosopher;847992 wrote: That Monday evening, President Sharif called Brig. Lokech asking to visit Afgoye- a militarily strategic place which had fallen into the hands of UPDF after a nasty battle which earned scores of casualties. Brig. Lokech was very hesitant to allow the President visit the place, since many cells of Al Shabaab were still operating in the area but in civilian attire. The joyous occupied inhabitants welcoming the ‘liberator’ forces with flowers after freeing them from the claws of “evildoers”: Somali philosopher;847992 wrote: In show of a new life, a Governor of Afgoye shaved his long hair aftrer twenty years. He had vowed never to shave it until the day his town would liberated. At least he kept his word to his people! Finally, the African author beats western propaganda standards on liberator’s spoils by Insulting occupied women and their honor: Somali philosopher;847992 wrote: veragely many a UPDF soldier has desisted from shafting somali babes, reason – the babes don’t want condoms yet many have stds! This is what i gathered from casual chats with many of them.
  25. @ElPunto - you are fighting a losing battle here, If this girl obtained her accredited MD thru the Canadian system, she should be congratulated. The Canadian system is notoriously flawed. * 16 schools offer faculty of medical school in Canada- compare over 214 Med Schools in the states. * 6 of those schools are in Ontario. * Each school accepts 100 students per-year (Ontarians fair the worst, since all other provinces can apply Ontario, but you have to be a two year residence to apply schools in other provinces). So, in Ontario, you will be competing students from all over the country. The chances vary from school to school and are much better in other provinces. However, in Ontario where most Somalis live, the outlook is dismal; there are students with over 95% scores who can't get in. Even with high MCAT scores, students go through rigorous approval process and then three levels of soft skills interview process. Including interpersonal / social skills, emotional intelligence...etc. Then, if one is lucky at medical school, more challenges will be on your way on 'training' medical apprenticeship institutions to gain experience. Medical school being elitist, costly field, Somalis undoubtedly lack the connections, and resources, so most opt out, some head to the Caribbean or stateside. it’s a system design to keep the numbers scarce and services expensive for the professional elites and their kids.....
