I was about to post this article for this new development ,,,since you posted before me, I let the title service for both of us. Moe Farah, the Somali-British runner, a double-Olympic gold medalist, was born in Mogadishu and has sweet memory of united Somalia. Many of his Somali followers have long been of the belief that he is a closet proponent of united Somalia as opposed to the secessionists in the Hargeisa-Buroa-Barbara Triangle in north western Somalia, a region Moe’s forefathers call home. If my memory serves me right, soon after his last Olympic gold win the leader of the secessionists in Hargeis Siilaayo paid homage to Mr. Farah as Mr. Farah was visiting his parents in the neighborhood. Siilaanyo realizing that Mr. Farah was a universal household name organized a grand presidential reception for the gold runner. For a while the photo ops with Mr. Farah seemed to work for Siilaanyo as the tribal roots between the two men were captured by in some British papers. However Mr. Farah never said he is in support of Somalia breakup. But now to pinch the secessionists’ eyes, the true son of Somalia Mr. Moe Farah has come out of the closet to tell the world the dreamers’ wish would never materialize and that Somalia will stay united forever; enjoy the message.

To solidify the permanence of the FG in the eyes of IC and in order the Somalia reconstruction efforts to go forward, the Federal Member State (FMS) of Puntland must make everything compromisable except the stipulations enshrined in the constitution cos from the get-go of this new era we can’t afford to make it bendable; the adjustable xeer Somali can’t be basis for a national entity!

QARAN NEWS, a mouthpiece for Somali clan secessionists in the northwest region of Somalia, has refused to post my reaction to a double spaced article in which the writer is demanding monetary compensation for the Somalis of his clan who died in the civil war in his neck of the woods (http://www.qarannews.com/2013/04/som...ce-on-somalia/). You are speaking for your Somali clans that reside in Hargeisa, part of Buroa and Barbara. Well, when the father of Somali nationalism, Sayid Mohamed Abdulla Hassan, was fighting to remove the British colonialists from the sacred lands of Somalis, your forefathers were collaborators with the enemy; they acted as the night vision goggles and the guiding torch for them (the British infidels). In all battles on land the Somali dervish nationalists were victorious. The British being the most powerful empire in the human universe at that time, undertook a campaign of aerial bombardment against TALEEX, the first Somali capital city and the seat of the Dervish power. Thus Somalis were the first people in Africa who were victimized by the air attack using new weapon technology of explosive materials. In a span of fortnight, this air campaign killed more than 50,000 Somalis in Taleex and the surrounding areas. This savagery murder would not had been possible without your clans collaboration with the infidels. The proof of the pudding is eating. When the dervish movement was defeated as the result of aerial power, the British armed the collaborating clans who used their new found weaponry power to rob the Dervish clans of their she camels and lands. Thus your clan killed thousands of Somali nationalists aftermath of the defeat of the dervish movement. The anger the writer is directing to the distinguished Somali general Ali Samater is unfounded. The general is only guilty of defending the sovereignty of the nation under the direct order of Somali people. Look; the lead warrior from writer's clan under the command of the British colonists who was given the job to verify the death of Sayid Mohamed in Iimay and led the campaign of terror in the lands of the devish, is still alive and is the spiritual leader of the seccessionists in Hargeisa. This man killed thousands of Somalis in 1922 to 1935. His name is Abdi Waraabe (Abdi the Hyena). So as the saying goes what is good for the goose is good for the gander. Why don't you and the British government first apologize to the Somali people and then compensate them for your barbaric actions?????

The cause for the failure of the union of Somaliland and Somalia
GaadhHaye replied to Che -Guevara's topic in Politics
Bullshit. Somali union has never failed. Some gangs supported by a minority of one sectarian group had taken advantage of the inner fighting of the majority groups in what has become to be known as the Somali civil war that has been going on, in an off-and-on-again fashion, for the last twenty-two years. These outlaws have taken hostage few cities in the northwest of the country and because there has been no effective central government they unilaterally declared themselves as the leaders of independent country. That action itself is treason by all the standards of the existing members of the family of nations on the planet. When sovereignty of a nation is challenged by armed gangs, treason is punishable by death. The constitution of the Somali Republic has never ceased and has never been folded to be thrown to dustbin. The will of the world represented by the policies and actions of the U.N. sees the Somali Republic as a nation-state whose sovereignty can not be bended by any force in the world. So the ignorant person who wrote the above garbage has to, first, tell where and when Somalia was broken up..... -
Somali Parliament Endorses the new Prime Minister Abdi Farah Shirdon
GaadhHaye replied to Che -Guevara's topic in Politics
What strikes me the most in his pre-endorsement speech to the parliament is the commitment he made that his government will realize the unity and togetherness of the Somali people. -
The market is the game changer;;;; With what is happening in Wall Street today, the pundits are themselves in pressure to switch sides. The Dow is up 123 points as I write and at the end of the day, is expected to gain over 130 points as bellwethers such as Goldman Sachs and Johnson & Johnson are reporting earnings much higher than the investors’ expectation. Also today’s market reported that American homebuilders are coming back. Thus Obama has a safari lion’s claws to tear up Rommey’s flesh tonight.

Chimera;879822 wrote: All properties must be returned to their rightful owners, the city cannot become a safe and inclusive unifying metropolis if thousands of former residents do not feel the confidence of it being a national capital. A commission should be set up, where evidence can be provided. Where there is none, multiple interviews will be taken with various neighbours both in the country and overseas through technology such as Skype. If the Hassan family of House A and the Elmi family of house B remember the Samatars used to live at House C , this constitutes a pattern and if more interviews with opposite and distant neighbours confirm the same, then that house should be confiscated by the Federal government. If the family currently residing was duped by a sinister realtor, then some sort of compensation should be provided. I believe the families reclaiming their properties would have no problem helping out with that, if the realtor in question is nowhere to be found. This has to become a priority in the coming years. All properties except the public ones should be designated “Contested Immovables”. The burden of proof should fall on potential claimants to them including the current occupants or those who lease them. In his campaign of property registration, Tarzan should also make a roster of the names and identities of the public properties lessors, the pseudo landlords, who have been pocketing thousands of dollars from these illegal leases since the collapse of law and order.

Nothing else but the scam of the century on the graves of the Northwest of the Republic i.e scavenging on the dead people for dental gold.. Easy with that pliers tool, you easily dupable Soomaalidiids

All property (buildings and land) registration after 31/12/1989 must be null and void. A national commission must be formed for property restoration and dispute resolution. Such commission must have powers to arrest, fine and confiscate properties or evacuate unlawful occupants. This issue of Xamar properties theft is one of the first test this new government has to pass with flying colors otherwise waa jugjug meeshaaga joog.

We need government institutions, infrastructures, the watering and sewage systems of the major urban cities, the schools (especially vocational schools) and hospitals working ASAP. It is like how would you rebuild your own house that had collapsed 20 years ago with little or no money. Prioritization must be the rule of the day.

Chi, I like your enthusiasm and positive thinking with the Insha Allah we-will-get-out-of-the-hole mentality. Now that you are posting news (with your comments) on SOL that many countries and international organizations are visiting Villa Somalia and asking how could they help. What do you think the best strategy that the new government should adapt to maximize the benefits we get from the foreigner aid? Let me elaborate. For Example President Maxamuud prefers or perhaps WANTS that aid givers should deal with the Somali government officials directly in order to curtail the role of the NGOs. I think it is not easy to limit the culture of corruption in Somali in the short term. What I would suggest is that government should take a different policy. They have to produce a “White Paper of National Reconstruction”. In it they have to declare that they can only accept aid in the form of monetary funds (cash) ONLY if they are forced to and only from non-technological countries such as oil rich nations, but from American, EU, China, Russia, India, Australia, Canada etc we should play different game with them this time: Somalia can only accept keys for completed projects from the world. You may say beggars are not choosers; but the definition of projects in this case has slightly different dimension. They are projects the donors have already relationship with them. For example, the USA government built the watering system of Mogadishu. Ask them to rebuild it and a sewage system as a bonus. Do not ask them another single cent. China please renovate the trans Somalia road from Beletweyn to Burco and rebuild the National Theatre. Do not ask them another cent. EU re-builds all schools and furnishes them. EU revisits the Barbara Hargiesa road and Baraba Buroa road. Italy though member EU should revisit the road from Garowe to Bosasso. Approach Russia this time with different attitude! Not military hardware this time, mate. Renovate Degfeer plus asphalted road to Kismayo. For India give her the renovation of the road from Mogadishu to Baydhaba or from Mogadishu to Beletweyn. Use the help from Turkey for the development of agriculture and fishery. We have to come up with projects with target dates. If a country hires NGO or sends its own entity we must not intervene. Again the government should avoid as much as it can to receive cash from the donors. It is not like they owe us anything but if they get into the hook and ask us how they could help rebuild Somalia, our position should be "we accept only keys from friends". What do you think?

Jacaylbaro;878515 wrote: .... Yeah, he is in Madaxtooyada weliba ,, loooool Be specific in your acknowledgement with words. Do you mean “Madaxtooyada” the old General Morgan residence in Hargeisa where Siilaanyo, the SNM gang lives now? Of course what anybody who has a deep knowledge of Somali culture can glean from the article is that the SNM gang is reinvigorating itself as an offshoot of Alshabaan and Alqaacida after the recognition mission failure. The media has the sound bites, and in video, of your so-called internal minister in which, a couple of weeks ago, he invited the defeated remnants of Alshaab to Hargeisa. Naturally, they have accepted the invitation.

Compare that to the streets of Jeddah, the commercial city of Saudi Arabia, the richest oil nation on the planet; the King is the owner and Mr. Hugo Chaves is an employee who can be dismissed if needed….Caku

Somali National Forces advancing towards Buurhakaba Pics
GaadhHaye replied to oba hiloowlow's topic in Politics
Hold one second guys.. Anyone who was listening to the deputy chairman of the Kenyan parliament Farah Moalim on VOA Somali last week would no doubt come to the reality of the war in Kismayo. It is not about the photo opp pictures of Kenyan forces and their equipment. Mr. Farah openly affirmed that the real fighters against Alshaba are the Somalia National forces who have lost close to 1000 soldiers while the Kenyans have lost less than 36 men since they entered Somalia close to two years ago. The Kenyans died in defensive operations. They have yet to align themselves in offensive patterns to attack the enemy. He further said the Kenyans are there for moral support and to act as the warehouse keepers of ammunition and military hardware. -
If, within the four year period, the new admin reorganizes the National Central Bank of Somalia to its full capacity as an effective tool to manage the monetary policies of the state and a facilitator of commerce for Somali merchants, in my book they will be registered as heroes.
