Alpha Blondy;925839 wrote: so.....today i was loitering around suuq hoose ee hargeisa, when i saw one of my friends. he's an excellent guy and we really get along. but since we're both 'busy'....but his 'busyness' a little more superficial than mine. it's a real shame we hardly get to see each other these days. my friend is a really cool guy and he's always been like a big brother to Al's little brother .....i seem to bump into him whenever.....i'm in need of inspiration and BANG....he appears. he's very much a socialite and has in the past introduced to many great people.....but that was then. we had qado together and we spoke about many things....his attitude more optimistic to my sombre and lackluster musings. it was after we finished qado....that he proposed that i ought to get married. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL......but i suppose he was sort off right.as usual, i didn't make excuses or get defensive but rather listened intently to his latest words of wisdom. he said he'll introduce me to a chick.....i vaguely knew who he was talking about but i pretended.......i knew NOTHING. he went on his sermon, which was actually interesting. after listening for a while.....i agreed. now, the only issue is....we'll probably NOT see each other again for at least another month or two....as we're both 'busy', LOOOOL but this idea of his got me thinking and i'm actually quite keen to go ahead with the proposal. if this mashruuc is going to happen....then i'll suppose, i'll be forced to change my mundane lifestyle but how can i do that....when i find his lifestyle very pretentious and fake? LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL p.s - i forget to mention this guy is the biggest BS'er in the world but NOT to Al. we're alright........ discuss. the floor is now open for further questions about any aspect of this 'mundane lifestyle of Al'...... :p Are you talking about SOLs number one monkey?

Seems like cherry picking from one part of a sub-article(two regions can merge)from the constitution without considering thecomplete article it is subject too or any of the other articles (law, Parliaments role, commission, demarcations, federal goverment mandate of 2 years, etc). Who said this issue wasnt about the constitution.

No, there is no commission or a law in place yet. All other regional admin so far have been appointed by the central admin(Baidoa, Beletweyn). The whole Jubbaland issue is questionable. There are not even Provincial(Gedo, Jubbada dhexe and Jubbada Hoose) admins in place, so how can one already decide which direction to take? Its a clear sign that 'Jubbaland' has nothing to do with the genuine wish for governance and law, but is rather a coupe d'etats using "federalism" as the gun.

Burn Notice;925070 wrote: Yes, it was the oil that caused the conflict and not the ethnic division lol but typically your story is more hollywood Ethnic division exist in every country of Africa. But the most bloody conflicts in Africa have been fueled by the prospect of oil and mineral money Many diffrent examples, but difficult to see when one is blinded by money. No need of Hollywood to see greedyness. ;D -
Apophis;924990 wrote: How bad would it be if this whole government thing collapsed and everybody went back to administering their tuulo? Not too bad in my opinion. Maybe this Somalia thing should die for good, it's barely alive now. Nobody is stoping you to administer your tuulo Afmadoow or anyone else's from governing their tuulo. However we object to the idea of trying to get power or rule Somalia through the side way.

Xaaji, Wouldnt you that any Kenyan Presidential candidate that is good for Somalia is good for Somaliland as well?

Homunculus;924685 wrote: I hope Somalia including Somaliland has oil (lots of it), people fearing intensified fighting and hope that nothing is found should really examine their heads. I live in oil country (Alberta) and lived in the UAE before, the benefits far outweigh any risks. Were Alberta or UAE classified has fragile civil war torn countries when the oil was found? I guess not. Angola and Congo experienced decades of war after oil and minerals were found. How do you plan to mitigate that kind of risks? -
