Che -Guevara;934158 wrote: Ugandan Burundi, Djibouti and Sierra Leone are same as those two. Again either stop supporting ALL or spare deriding people for supporting one group, nothing worse than hypocrite. Che, Sierra Leone is not the same as Ethiopia/Kenya. Ethiopia and Kenya both occuby Somali territorities, since 1964 they have common pact against Somalia that bas been renewed more then 5 times, they both a foreign policy that is intended to divide Somalia, Kenya invaded Somalia without anyone requesting them, they have funded and established this Jubbaland. Saxiib, clearly you are blinded for the facts here. That tends to happen when people are blinded by loyalty for tolka. dhiiga ayaa ku kacay, waa caadi, in tends to happen, its a Somali trait you know.

Che -Guevara;934138 wrote: ^Really, are you splitting hairs now?Every foreign army including Ethiopians came at the request of a Somali Government.Ethiopians don't need proxy, they control it directly but I guess they doesn't matter to you. In fact, they had to be begged to stay in the region by the same Somali Government, IC and AMISOM. Saxiib, I oppose the Ethiopians too. But the previous and current Somali goverment are more concerned with Kenyans, they even protested on several occassions the Kenyan invasion, dealings with Jubbaland, etc. But I understand that you have more suspicioun from Ethiopia due to your background of being a Somali from Ethiopia.

Haatu;934040 wrote: Confusion hits Garissa assembly Three days after the swearing in of Garissa county assembly members and election of the speaker, a group of county assembly representatives-elect that absconded the exercise have said that they will be moving to court to challenge the exercise. The exercise was marred with confusion after a section of the elected members opted to stay away over disagreement of the election. Out of the 30 elected members only 18 were present to take the oath of affirmation to their new office. Twelve of the members who absconded the exercise and who were all from one clan were protesting over the decision by two of the clans which have got the governor and county women representative in the last general election to again take the speaker’s seat. The leaders while addressing the press in Garissa at the weekend claimed that it was unfair and against the interests of the county for the Auliyahan clan, which has governor Nadhif Jama and County women representative Shukran Hussein Gure to again take the speaker’s position. “How will one clan out of the three major clans in the county be allowed to take all crucial county positions. That is unfair and against the required checks and balances in the running of the county. Garissa needs an all inclusive leadership based on fair representation not stealing type leadership, we therefore condemn this elections in the strongest terms possible,” said Nasir Mohamed of Nanigi ward. The county representatives-elects while terming the whole exercise as “illegal, unconstitutional and a thing of the past” said that they were consulting with their lawyers with a view of seeking redress in court. Garissa High Court Judge Stella Mutuku proceeded with the swearing in of the leaders elected despite a section of the members staying away from the crucial ceremony. Mohamed Abey Mohamed from the Aulian clan was elected as the speaker. he garnered all the eighteen votes that were casted beating a field seventeen other aspirants to the speaker position. The deputy speaker position went to Abubakar Mohamed Shide from the Abdalla clan and he was voted in unopposed. http://www.the-star.co.ke/news/article-113681/confusion-hits-garissa-assembly Haatu, tell us more about Garissa politics saxiib. Who are member of the council, Awliyahan and the Abdalla folks. Who are the 12 members who didnt show up for the election for Speaker?

Ethiopians are still in Bay/Bakool, Gedo and Hiiraan mase they don't fit into argument now miyaa? Sierra Leone troops are coming on the request of the Somali Goverment, all the way from West-Africa. To replace the Kenyans troops, who on the other hand clearly invaded Somalia and now trying to establish and funding an administration in Kismayo. Are the Ethiopians establishing and funding somali regions to form a proxy State? If so, then I oppose that too saxiib.

Illyria;934031 wrote: Well, if he were right I would have, but in this case he is not, therefore I will not take his words for it. instead I will consult the constitution and use my brain. May I suggest then you do not just repeat what others say without much thought into their validity or veracity? The constitution says Goverment is repsonsible for first two years. Now where in the constitution does it state that a clan conference can establish a State from 3 Somali regions who are still occubied by AL Shabaab.

Illyria;934025 wrote: Are you serious? I am raising he question 'cos the PM did not reference the articles which rendered the Juba initiative unconstitutional and we cannot take his word for it unless of course he or anyone on that side of the argument brings forth the relevant articles to have been breached. I have read the document and disagree with his conclusion. So it seems your whole argument against the Juba initiative and its being unconstitutional hings on 'cos the PM said so. You are much worse than I thought. He is the Head of Goverment. I suggest you take his words, his words is more relevent then mine.

Illyria;933941 wrote: It is easy to shout it is unconstitutional from the roof tops, but can you reference which articles of the constitution had been breached? unless of course you are just using that line to advance an argument which has no legs to stand on. Again do you know which articles or sections of the constitution which had been violated? Ask the Prime Ministers office. Prime Minister declares Kismayo Convention unconstitutional Updated About:33 days ago 0 The Federal Government of the Somali Republic deeply regrets the unconstitutional Kismayo convention held on 27 February 2013. His Excellency Prime Minister Abdi Farah Shirdon said: “This unilateral act, carried out without reference to the federal government, violates the constitution and is an obstacle to peaceful political development. It neither serves the best interest of the local communities in the area nor that of the new Somali state.” “The government’s constitutional mandate is to establish a federal state as the end goal. This nation-building process is already underway. We have started this approach to establish local administrations, the foundation stones of a federal state, in newly recovered areas such as Bay and Hiiraan and we expect the same will apply to Jubaland. As stated in the past, the government will only be a facilitator.” “It’s important that what’s happening in Kismayo only takes place within – and not outside – the constitutional framework. According to our constitutional mandate, the government won’t accept anything less than correct procedure. We have been extremely inclusive throughout all consultative engagements and played a facilitative role in Baydhabo and Beled Weyne, and we expect to do the same in Kismayo as we move towards a federal state.” The Prime Minister said the government will remain in constant dialogue with all Somali and international stakeholders, including African Union, UN and IGAD. He reiterated the government’s willingness to engage in dialogue with all stakeholders, including MPs, politicians and civil society to re-establish an inclusive Jubaland administration under the constitutional guidelines and after consultation with the people. “By acting unilaterally the Kismayo Convention will jeopardize the efforts of reconciliation, peace building and state-building, create tribal divisions and also undermines the fight against extremists in the region.” ENDS Ahmed Adan Prime Minister’s Media Office
