Apr 5, 2013 - 2:52:22 PM MOGADISHU, Somalia Apr 5, 2013 (Garowe Online) - Confidential sources in Mogadishu, Galkayo and London have informed Garowe Online that Somalia’s federal government is “pursuing leadership change” in Galmudug administration of central Somalia, Garowe Online reports. According to the reliable sources, advisers of Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud have contacted former politician Hussein Mohamed Aideed in London to “assume leadership in Galmudug”. Since 2012, Galmudug authority in central Somalia has been mired in a leadership dispute, with Gen. Abdi Qeybdiid emerging as the most powerful political figure in Galmudug in recent months. In March 2013, Somali Prime Minister Abdi Farah Shirdon visited south Galkayo and held meetings with Mr. Qeybdiid, but Qeybdiid’s office later issued a public statement criticizing Prime Minister Shirdon’s policies. “President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud’s advisers are unsatisfied with [Abdi] Qebydiid. They have pursued and attempted to encourage Hussein Aideed to return to politics from exile in London,” said one reliable source in Mogadishu. The source predicted that such effort “would lead to further destabilization” in central regions of Somalia. Galmudug and other regions of central Somalia are already struggling with the threat of Al Shabaab extremists, piracy gangs, and clan conflict over land and resources . The source's claim could not be independently verified. Qeybdiid has demanded that the Somali Federal Government recognize his leadership as President of Galmudug, and that Galmudug is a “state” that satisfies the criteria of the Somali Federal Constitution. But federal leaders in Mogadishu have been “unsatisfied” with Qeybdiid’s position, the source adds. GAROWE ONLINE

Chimera, I know more killed in car accidentd then gang shootings. So your advice is not practical here in Holland nor in Africa.

Mario, I agree with you. There is nothing wrong if 2 regions want to merge. If the people want Jubbaland then it will happen for sure. But not in this manner and not as platform to undermine Somalias Goverment.

If there's any enemies of Jubbaland, they've revealed themselves. I just hope Aw Libaax (the sensible one) whose name they were parading just a few weeks ago as if he was the Messiah himself weathers through rather than this schizophrenic camp. Pirate Politics. Stop creating divisions between Gedo and Azania. Jubbaland will be created but not as a platform pirates can undermine Somalias souvereignity with.

Waranle_Warrior;935142 wrote: Actually If I were to hazard a view regarding Puntland and its leadership's stand on the MP. I think Faroole likes Shirdoon he sees him as a flexible open minded man who can be reasoned with for if Faroole didn't see connections with him he would have made noises long time ago knowing how reactionary he is with his emotional outbursts. But what Faroole doesn't like is Hassan Culosow's robust, unreasonable and anti-federalism antics. It is said that few times in which Faroole wanted to take a negative position against this government it was Saacid that talked to him and convinced him to be patient with them. What Faroole and Puntland hope is that, Saacid as the head of the government with utmost executive powers in the country comes out of the gang-controlled zone, stands on his feet and develops a fair and good relationship with Puntland and the rest of the federal member states of the country. Saxiib, I told you the man has the interest of Somalia at heart. Now stop this creating this division between D and H clans. Most Somalis don't even belong to those clans and are not interested in Hutu iyo Tutsi politics.

Maanshallah, Somalia is pushing back oo IGAD iskka celinisa. Go Somalia. P.S. Who signed this crazy stabilisation plan of IGAD? Ma Sheick Shariif?

Waranle, the last couple of weeks yo and Xiinfaniin are really trying hard to create division between Gedo folks and the PM, in order to potray the PM as someone not defending the interest of Jubbland. Your post here is another proof of thay. Its called isku ***, and its part of your pirate politics.

Waranle_Warrior;935119 wrote: ^Aah c'mon my friend, you know that this has nothing to do with positions and the rumour that Saacid is a tool of the President is a Somali rumor and not Puntlanders alone. Go visit Amin Amir website, go read different articles from all Somali people talking about this, the President has all the powers and runs everything including that of the PM office. Like one of Gedo MPs pointed out last week in an interview with BBC Somali while dismissing the naming of Gedo governer, I will start respecting Saacid when he starts cleaning the Somali murder house and most complicated city Mogadishu and appoints leaders for Banadir and its districts and focuses on all the issues surrounding Mogadishu. Like I said this is not a rumor created by Puntland folks but its what every Somali knows. Sure. Why else did you, Xiinfaniin and Mooge started spreading rumours from day one of this govermeny. Many believed those vicious lies, but reality is the PM does have a lot of power, why else would he avoid appointing admins for every region except Lower and Middle Shabelle. Stop spreading lies and rumours, for they will come to hunt you.

Oba, I agree with you. We should stop defaming our leaders even if we dont agree with them politicly. Xiin and co should stop targetting Prime Mimister Saacid, we know they can only be satisfied if either the Prime Minister or President is from tolka.

Another record is the number of places in Somalia he visited. Garowe, Nugaal Galkacyo, Mudug Cabudwaaq, Mudug Kismayo, Jubbada Hoose Afgooye, Shabelada Dhexe Beletweyn, Hiiraan Jowhar, Shabelleda Dhexe Marka, Shabelleda Hoose Garbahareey, Gedo

Jacpher, I am sure Puntland politicians have collected more diplomas and titles(like Dr.Faroole) and their wives wrote a lot of impressive research papers(like Dr.Abdiwali). But this guy really knows what he is talking about. Check this intervieuw from before he was appointed as Prime-Minister. I am interested in his achievements as Head of State of Somalia. So I will post more about that.

This thread is dedicated to Saacid Faarax Shirdoon, the most intelligent and most elequent Prime-Minister and Head of Goverment we have seen in decades in Somalia. I was quite sceptic at first because I supported another candidate but also because of his background in business, married to a strong dominant women, the strong HAGism we smell nowadays from Villa Somalia, his clan lineage (known for their militaristic vieuws on governance), his elitist looks and the many diffrent opinions voiced here didnt make enthousiastic about the man. But I have to admit I was wrong. The man is works very hard, he is energetic, elequent, seems to understand governance, his has good analysis on Somalias recent history and how to return trust in governance in the country. No Prime-Minister has visited so many places in Somalia as Saacid in just a couple of months, no Prime-Minister has concerned himself with so many diffrent places in Somalia as Saacid, from Marka to Mudug, from Galmudug to Gabahareey, from Kismayo to Kaaraan, from Bay to Banadir, he has visited all those places, his goverment actually concerned themselves with the governing and administration of all those places. I got used to pictures from Somali politicians visiting foreign countries, receiving foreign dignitaries and being poor in terms of policy achievements. But everytime I visit Somali news website I see Saacids goverment actually working! Saacid visiting diffrent places of Somalia and discussing how to return governance to places like Marka. The guy really works hard, he understands governance, his role, he is very idealistic, is motivated to return Somalias goverment and really seems to care about the people in the Land. This is quite an achievement for Somalia to finally bring individuals with quality to forefront. I am impressed wallahi. Saacid all over the place. http://www.google.nl/search?hl=en&safe=active&q=saacid+faarax+shirdoon&bav=on.2,or.r_qf.&bvm=bv.44770516,d.bGE&biw=1280&bih=923&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&ei=vD5fUZWRCuap4gTC24HQBA#imgrc=yDrg6LhjHkWP9M%3A%3BxOd6U5aJCKUhmM%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fsaadaalnews.com%252Fwp-content%252Fuploads%252F2012%252F10%252FSAACID.jpeg%3Bhttp%253A%252F%252Fsaadaalnews.com%252F2012%252F10%252F28%252Fraiisal-wasaaraha-soomaaliya-oo-wada-la-tashigiisii-ugu-danbeeyay-ee-magacaabista-gollaha-wasiirrada%252F%3B512%3B364

I have to admit I am quite impressed with the Prime-Minister Saacid. He is the most intelligent and most eloquent Prime-Minister we have seen so far. He is far more analytic and intelligent then previous PM's like Abdiwali and Farmaajo.
