  1. The list is not complete. But there are detailed list and even books about the imbalance in the former Republic and the trend is quite obvious. one cant deny that.
  2. The Bajuuni's are the inhabitants of Kismayo. They have welcomed all kind of diffrent Somalis in to their city and today they are not even regarded as the owners and inhabitants of that city. It is these kind of tragedies that will keep haunting the Somali people, till their learn to correct their mistakes. The same goes for other regions and other cities, among them Mogadishu.

Hence, our Jacpher is basically exercising his right to that "old trick" in here. :D I dont think its a trick. Its just that some folks really haven't learned from history yet and are subdues by the prospect of resurrecting their clan hegemony. But they are underestimate the fact that Somalis have learned the ways of those that are hungry for power.

And it's another country today since all reputable historians agree that the "past" is another country. And therefore that other country is something we can all learned from it. It's with hope, one must conclude, that the likes of our Xiinfaniin and few of the kikuye's butlers we have it around here will finally let go of the idea of thinking that the old Somali Republic (of the kind in which this list of ambassadors indicates) can be "resurrected" afresh with the help of "borrowed muscles" in today's world. Or perhaps on the back of a "political scam" known as a "clan federalism". All in all, whatever fate awaits Somalia, going forward, one thing that is clear as a daylight is that just as the "ruling minority Sunnis" of Iraq went to the "dustbin of History" when that dictator of theirs by the name of Mr Saddam Hussain went to meet his maker, it's also the case that Somalia's version of Iraqi's Sunnis have also joined the "dustbin of history" along with their former dictator by the name of Gen. Barre. Or at least the idea of them calling the "political shots" of the Somali peninsula, or even ruling it in the manner they were accustomed to it, from this point forward, has indeed went into that dustbin of "recorded history". Hence it's best for all, if everyone tries to learn from that history and therefore everyone tries to cut their political cloths accordingly. :D Fair analysis of what is happening in Somalia(clan federalism) today and its correlation with the past(clan hegemony).
  5. NGONGE;941782 wrote: Carafaat, less is more badawyaho. Ngonge, the Press release came from the Puntland goverment. Galkacyo has two clan administration and the result is constant assasinations, attack on the same airstrip. this has been going on for years. I do not wish the same for other cities in Somalia.
  6. Samafal;941780 wrote: What a ****** reason to discredit Federalism. These region has seen worse security issues under one strong centralized government than it has seen under your so called clan federalism. But kid like you wouldn't know the facts, would you? Samafal, that press release is from the Puntland authorities accusing Galmudug of destablizing Puntland. You should take it up with adeero Faroole or your Galkacyo neighbours Gamudug.

If you like it or not, this is the result of the clan federalism you wish for Somalia. Carfaat is not responsible for the constant fighting, airport attacks nor press releases. You should take it up with Faroole or the Galmudug clan administration.
  8. Pres release on Galmudug’s criminal attacks and trying to destabilize the Puntland security Ministry of Security and DDR Puntland State of Somalia PRESS RELEASE 22 April 2013 During the past months criminal attacks planned and carried out in Puntland jurisdiction by residents of Galmudug have been increasing. On April 22 Monday morning, antiaircraft launched from Galmudug in southern Galkayo, targeted a plane attempting to land at Galkayo Airport. Following that incident, three mortars were launched towards north Galkayo hitting residential and public areas, by the grace of God no one was injured in the mortar attack. Today’s attack follows Sunday’s shooting of armed residents of Galmudug who were stopped at a checkpoint and attempted to forcefully enter the airport. The armed men failed to listen to orders to put down their weapons and subsequently one of them was shot and killed by airport security. Puntland Police have recorded 6 kidnappings and car hijackings in the past 6 months and several targeted killings stemming from south Galkayo. Respectively on November 5th 2012 Abdiqadir Abdirahman Sheikh Nuur was carjacked and killed by residents of Galmudug in Dagaari village. Only two weeks after that on November 19th 2012 armed men from Galmudug kidnapped 7 men who were travelling in a vehicle from Galkayo towards Galdogob district of Puntland. On February 8 2013, armed men from Galmudug kidnapped and then later killed Abdinasir Sheikh Ahmed 15 KMs south of Galkayo. On February 15th 2013, 4 men were killed in the outskirts of Galkayo by individuals from Galmudug. Despite the lack of action by the Galmudug leaders to prevent or act on individuals who are carrying out these acts, Puntland has not ceased to cooperate with Galmudug. Last week, a vehicle stolen by Puntland residents from Galmudug citizens was returned safely to its owners; also a man related to kidnappers from Galmudug who was being held hostage by the family of kidnapped Puntland residents, was freed and returned to his home after the intervention of Puntland authorities. The increase in criminality from the Galmudug jurisdiction has hampered efforts to improve security throughout the region of Mudug. The Puntland government urges government officials, traditional elders and community leaders in Galmudug to help put a stop to the violence and criminal acts being carried out by their residents. The Puntland government will always vow to protect their citizens from any group threatening Puntland’s sovereignty, security and existence. — END — So this is the kind of federalism awaiting the rest of Somalia. Two clan administration in the same city attacking eachother, trying to destabalize eahother and fighting for years for a small landing strip in the dessert.
  9. No wonder some would like to turn back the clock.
  10. Clan federalism is another pandora box. Hiiraan folks are right, decades ago the Siyadis goverment split existing regions to create more regions inhabited by his clan to create a artificial political leverage. Why should Hiiraan merge with another region, when it has more population then Galgaduud and Mudug together. I suggest Parlement, scrabs these 2 stages should merge article and leave the old provincis as they were.

Carafaat, the unity I'm referring to is the Somali & Somaliland one, not the one XX is advocating for. still support it, nothing changed. In fact I hope the Somaliland and Somalia talks lead to Unity. But I see many opponent that are trying to disrupt these talks.
  12. Uchi, my stance on the unity has not changed. The same goes for my position against Clan federalism.

  15. I am bored here. There is absolutely nothing to do here except for smoking shisha and shopping. Main topics of discussion with people are: brand clothes, prices of property and tastes of food. The most superficial people live in this part of the world.

Passive/Aggresive reactions are very common when frustrated in the heat of the debate. Remember when I called you 'Mintid Micnoyare' when discussing Somaliland-Somalia, well that was because you made quite some sense and I hated that. I see Xiinfaniin is using that name for you nowadays.

Me, XX and Alpha would really make something of it.
  20. Interesting CV. Lets hope he can keep inflation down, foreign exchange flowing so that trade keeps going and in the future regulate the financial sector/Xawalas.
  21. Mintid and Oodweyne, please do keep us common people updated on the insight dealings of the players and powerful in Somalia. P.S. Mintid, may I suggest to open a seperate thread to share your scoop with us?
  22. A close observation of his cabinet formation is a clear indicator of how Hassan Sheikh Mohamud planned to annihilate Somalis and with a strong focus on the larger ‘******’ clan of the Somali. He made appointment without consulting even the’******’ dominated federal state of Punt land let alone discussing the government with the very leadership of the ‘******’ traditional council of elders or even any of their sub-units. these guys know very little about Somalias politics. This kind of hate speech is to be blamed on the fadhikudirir politics coming from certain corners of the political spectrum.
  23. Aside from this tragic incident, Galkacyo's two sides have been fighting over this airport for more then 15 years after the signing of the peace afgreement. The city has two "federalist administrations" have not brought the stability needed for the region. Isnt it time to start thinking about another vision for Galkacyo and Mudug?
  24. Somali wexe horey u tiri: "Hadal aan fiiro loo dhihin iyo caano aan fiiqsi loo dhamin feerahey wax yeelaan". Now coming back to your argument, Federalism is opposed by Somalilanders and the rest of Somalis are just followers who dont have an own opinion or mind for themselves. This kind of an argument shows the dédain you have for the Somali people, this kind of speech is something hurting your argument for federalism and at the same time insulting a majority of the Somalis opposing this travesty called federalism. qoraalkaga u fiirso hada kadib, waa iga talo.
