Oodweyne, true that. But the locals have an genuine interest to create a stable region, following the example of Somaliland and Puntland. But its an unfortuanate that they are being led by those elements that are serving Kenyas interest. The questionis, is it possible to sideline The Kenyansand and their agents and still establish a peacefull region with an effective regional admin?

There are (Kenyan)elements within this Jubbaland i initiative that have ulterior motives. The sad thing is that they align themselves behind those with a genuine agenda for the region. Jubbaland will only move forward if one manages to smoke out those elements.Otherwise it risks becoming a wild wild west as well.

Mintid, Indeed Ghandi is a civic leader rather then the usual warlords. Besides he is quite smart and kick started this whole Azania/Jubbaland. What is worrisome about Ghandi is his connection to the Kikuyu regime of Kenya.
