  1. Reer Xamar were known to be the most hospitable of all Somali's. Somaliland is for the first time in its history sitting around the table with its brother. Somaliland should be welcomed in the tradition of Xamar. I don't know what happened? Where is the Niiko, where is cambuulo, where is xalwo kismaayo? Where is minikeey minikaa waaay?
  2. Mintid, inadeer, waa runtaa. Somaliland achieved so much because Somaliland leaders always had a higher goal and were not content with status quo. But you rather remain with the current status quo, laakinse laguma joojiniyo adiga iyo dadka kula mid ah ee meesha soke wax ka eega.
  3. Mintid maangaab, who is talking about the Conference. I am talking about that we have entered a turning point in history. Even you can sense that time is changing, as you have put away your sword lately and are awaiting the new chapter to begin.
  4. isdhegeysiiyo xal abuuris. Time of listening and creating compromises. What do you think do these words reflect the current time?
  5. Asylum seekers, refugee's and taxi drivers have no business in the foreign affairs policy of the UK nor Somalia.
  6. Where is our own Shabaabi lap dancer Che in this discussion. Like his Cousin Fuad Shangoole, Che has neither any issue inu dooda u xoogo.
  7. Back at the end of 80's the mighty power of the Sovyetunion started to decay and slowly crumbl. Its leader newly elected leader Gorbatsjov sensed the turning of time very well and started back in 1988 the historic and revolutainary process of glasnost(openess) and perestrojka(social, cultural and economic reform) to guide and facilitate the reform and landing of the Sovyetunion. In a matter of less then 2 years the Sovyetunion completely transformed from the Communustic Empire to the current dozens of Republic's without war, bloodshed and suffering. In 1989 the iron wall fell and lead to free and demodratic Eastern Europen countries. From 1991 the world witnessed the birth of dozens of new Republics. It was the birth of current Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Kaukus States of Georgie, Kazachstan, Kirgizie, Azerbaijan, Oezbekistan, Baltic States of Estonia, Latvia and Lithunia. Today, we Somali's seem to be witnessing the turning of time as well. We are at the start of a historic process. Not knowing were it will lead to but one can sense that feeling of change, that time is turning and the tingeling feeling that we are witness of something that we can't seem to fully desribe nor comprehend. Gorbasjov described his turning of time with 'glasnost' and ' perestrojkak'. How would you desribe these times and the current wind of change going on within Somali's?
  8. Old-UDUB don't seem to get the bigger picture and Politics with a capital P. Instead chooses opportunism over progress and Unity.
  9. Ex-Somaliland president rejects Buhodle war, London conference 18 Feb 18, 2012 - 12:27:56 PM HARGEYSA, Somalia Feb 18 2012 (Garowe Online) – Former Somaliland President Dahir Riyale rejected the Buhodle invasion by Somaliland President Mohamed Ahmed Silanyo, Garowe Online reports. * Dahir Riyale former Somaliland President and leader of the opposition party UDUB spoke to VOA on Thursday said that he felt that the recent offensive by Somaliland troops in the contested region of Ayn. * “The war in Buhodle had no purpose and usually war without purpose is lost,” said Mr. Riyale. * Somaliland troops attacked Buhodle last month but were repulsed by local forces opposed to Somaliland's secession from Somalia. Although the fighting has subsided, military tensions remain high in the region. Mr. Riyale was asked about the announcement of a self proclaimed Awdal state, a region within Somaliland, “I think that these states are part of the political disputes in Somaliland. Awdal region is where Somaliland was born.” * Mr. Riyale was asked about the upcoming London conference on Somalia, in which Somalia’s leaders will be attending, including Somaliland President Ahmed Mohamed Silanyo. Mr. Riyale did not welcome President Silanyo’s decision to attend the London conference. * “My position did not change and I don’t think that Somaliland should attend this conference,” said Riyale during the VOA interview. * President Silanyo has come under criticism after a botched attempt to capture Buhodle a city that shares a border with Ethiopia. President Silanyo recently fired his two of Somaliland’s highest military officials and has yet to pull out his troops despite recent appeals to withdraw from the region by the Puntland government and local clans. * GAROWE ONLINE

  16. Muqdisho can't be compared to Washignton DC. When Washington DC was made capital, it was made a district without federal right because it had one house owned by Goerge Washington 4 cali beesteen and 10 slaves for his plantation. Muqdisho is a city with nearly 2 million people(10 more people then Puntland), there is no Cali beesteen and no slaves to be traded. People in Muqdisho should have same rights as any other Somali and to be governed and ruled by a parliament willen corrupt thieves and pirates. Let this Parliament rule Garowe village, I say.

  18. Donyt understand how one can be for Federalism and at the same time deny Moqdisho folks same Federal rights. Some really thing Somalia is like the American land and one can simply colonize another like Cali Beesteen.
  19. Federalism won't work in Somalia. There are only 2 states, waqooyi and koonfur with 2 diffrent political dimension. But splitting uppp cities, villages, shabelle region, mudug, gedo en bakool, splitting up bay and hiiraan, galgaduud en mudug, NONsense.
