SSCD party opens political offices in Hargeya and Laacaanood+PICS
Carafaat replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
Could it be Taleexi. I can imagining him selling to everyone irrespective of their vieuws. -
Naxar, I know many Somali-Ethiopians(mostly half Oromo/Somali, or Somali speaking Oromo's), but still I dont think that is wrong nor detestable. What I do find detestable is some folks would drink 1 liter of Ice cubes with Coffee mixed, sweet vanille caramel, more calories, more fat, more sodium, more Carbohydrate Fat and call it Frappuchino Light. I rather have an pure Ethiopian black bun rather then the toxis American ******* you consume every day. But that is just my opinion.

And also Ramada Hotel is good. Wonder why so many Somali's employ Kenyan's rather then SOmali's?

yes, I want an end to free speech. Not only for journalist but also for others. I know I opposed the arrest of Journalist in the past because this seemed politicly motivated. But if the rule's would be applied to all, incl politicians, etc. I wouldnt mind sxb.

But his point is clear. There needs to come an end to free speach, specially in SL.

You either are Somali or Ethiopian, these fools should just choose one. Nonsense! I know your kind, going to Starbucks daily with their Apple computer and bragging how American you are, and complaining about flight 13's. Many Somali call themselves Somali-American, waa caadi. do your think.

http://somalilandpress.com/i-dream-of-an-africa-which-is-in-peace-with-itself-n%e2%80%8belson-mandela-26765 OPINION | March 3, 2012 By:Mohamed Said Abdilahi If you ask a lot of people to define social justice you’re going to get many different definitions which are based on a variety of factors like religious and nationality backgrounds or social/political philosophy. One day as I was surfing the net looking through different websites trying to update myself on latest issues regarding our global village, as usual, I’ve come across countless negative articles. However, on this particular day, I was flabbergasted to see a website that caught my attention which had a poster that read– SORRY…I HATE SOMALIA….I’M A SOMALILANDER, hence as a reporter had to comment. I will not mention which website posted this despicable poster, but will say this; Somaliland, Puntland as well as south Somalian communities share and post their views on this site continuously. Be a national of Somaliland, South Somalia, Puntland or Timbuktu, as a Somaliland journalist/reporter, I am absolutely in favor of laws that make it illegal the use of unspeakable and inexcusable racist comments about a particular society and/or country. I simply see it as nothing short of sheer discrimination, and it’s wrong. On article #13 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights Charter says– “Everyone has the right to freedom of movement”. Meaning that we all have the right to move about freely and we also have the right to travel freely to and from our own country, and to leave any country. In conclusion, I would like to convey this to all, and that is, with lights at the end of the tunnel finally seems to be a more of realty rather than mirage or an illusion for all Somalilanders, we should all be extremely cautious on what we say or post on the net and do our very best to treat every person who walks in to our door the same way, regardless of race or nationality. Meantime, I would like to leave you with this very short (1min and 33sec) video from the UK House of Commons which was aired on Feb/2012. That is not the issue. The people need eachother. You have diffrent entities, but there should free movement and constant engagement, cooperation, etc. And this political polaritzation, is also effecting people's perception and engagement. Niyow, my cows are hearded by Oromo's in SL and Somalia's NGOKs are filled with Kikuyu's. Wax fahan.

Ngonge, send me more info on Samjamee through PM. Blessed, absolutely agree. And there are economic motives as well. For example, minorities engage mostly in production of certain specific products while larger tribes mostly have livestock. So imagine 1 guy producing metal or leather products and 20 livestock owners wanting to buy it. In a normal situation the power would be always with the seller and he can determine the price of his goods. But if all 20 livestock owners agree on a kartel or pact how to deal with metalworker and nobody breaks that kartel, they would be able to gain more marketpower and can determine the price. For example, In Hargeysa a haircut costs like 025 dollarcent. While in Muqdisho it's almost a dollar, 4 times the price. Now in which city is hair cut by minorities? Hargeysa. The same goed for example for construction workers, in Muqdishu its done by minorities and they get paid much less then the 3 dollars a day in Hargeysa. I think it has often an economic motive rather then cultural.

Indeed he was a great Politician, ahead of his time. Unfortuantly ignorance and clannism marganlised his party.
