The only realistic way nowadays to settle in the centre or desirable areas for almost anyone is either to rent or build/live on a relative's plot (unless of course one is rich enough to not have nothing better to do with cash). Again, with this artificial economy of foreign exchange influx and improductive use of assets, locals bear the brunt; hence why it is all the more urgent to have a controlled economy that put savings into creating jobs and care more about the poorest than the elite. The self reliant Eritreans that reject foreign aid and have zero debt have much better healthcare, public services and patriotism than Somalis yet even the very clean Asmara is much more affordable than cities in Sland/Somalia. It has more to do with putting the common good and unprivileged before anything else than inviting foreign banks with destructive records in African countries (in some cases for more than a century)... land should be nationalised.

  4. Farmaajo started paying women to welcome him with his picture in the airport. Now it became a business with banners and uniforms.
  5. listen to the old men saying "keyse went to Hargeysa with SSC on his shirt and with the Darawiish sign of the wadaad on the horse. and he came back with SSC and wadaad on horse." what changed he is wondering.
  6. Aaliyah, indeed. Faroole wuu iska hadlay and somaliland will unite with somalia again. wakhtigii dadka lakala fogeeniyay iyo khiyamo wee dhamatay.
  7. Che -Guevara;802071 wrote: Jb..It seems highly inflated considering the average income of the citizens. What about other towns? the same situation as in hargeysa. prices are less, but still the rate of increasing prices is to high. Even in lascanood and Buuhoodle price are doubling in short time of period.

Propaply you invested in land again. But wait untill the bubble burst and if you folks still made profit or lost more then they gained. the land is of the people, no need to put so much money in it. it wont go anywhere.
  9. All sings of a bubble sxb. there is no shortage of land. One buys a big plot, splits in smaller portions, some durbaan, xayesiis and propaganda folks buy those small pieces of double or tribble the price and it changes hand fast. the first of buyer of land is not the same as who builds something on it, it changes hand dozens of time before build. All the sings of a speculative bubble.
  10. Puntland Politcians oppose Somaliland and Somalia to unite. So far is clear. because the dominance of these politicians who came to power based on clan will come to and end. Somaliland will add proper governance to the system which will bring an end to the criminal ventures set-up by these corrupt elites, Somalia will get a centralized goverment rather then the clan federation Puntland politicians want. This is the best for all Somali's, including folks in Puntland. They will be liberated from the clan politicians who clinge on to power and wealth and are prebared to do anything to remain in power. Bringing an end to all those assasinations, divisions and unite cities and regions again.
  11. not many. they see the investment in the land as a way of saving ttheir money. But as soon as there is a proper financial system, they will store it in accounts or invest in productive sectors.
  12. STOIC;802049 wrote: Farole evolution echoes a man with low diplomatic skills.Sheikh Sharif sounds somber, and a man diplomatic enough not to give in to tantrums. The Puntland folks, at least on this boards, are the most unusual and opaque folks when it comes to matters of Somalia.Take your place respectfully in the Union you subscribe to..Now explain it to me why would SL speak with PL on matters of secession when there is a central government? He seems a bit too ambitious man that lack political agility. This is NOT wild west and he is NOT the sheriff in town.Sheikh Sharif is the Sherifff in town.Farole take a chil pill and let the man in authority make the decision for Somalia.Just realize things are NOT always simple as they seem. Good question.
  13. sxb, hargeisa land prices are dozens of time higher then Addis, Kampala, Asmara and even Nairobi. The bubble has been artificially pumped up by an overeas influx of foreign currency that has diverted investment flows from "more productive purposes. But will happen soon as there is a financial sector and banks where folks can store their savings or invest in proects/funds, dont think they will put as much in land anymore. And this in turn will create the bubble to burst. So sell your land and save your money sxb, waa talo.
  14. Che -Guevara;802045 wrote: Carafaat..He has no control over what happens in the North same way he has no control over what happen in the deep South and what AS does. Then to your logic Somaliland should talk with Galmudug, Xiin and Xeeb, Al Shabaab and with all other elements that control a piece irrelevent if they are a clan, goverment, etc
  15. Che -Guevara;802040 wrote: Sharif barely controls Xamar. Faroole barely control Eyl, Galkacyo and Galgala. what is your point che.
  16. Qandalawi, you are talking nonsense. The last thing faroole is worried about is greater Somalia. In fact puntland is an obstacle to having a proper goverment for greater somalia. Clan and Goverment dont mix, cause clan interest will always win. wax fahan. TFG and Puntland can make any agreement they want and have done so. Doesnt mean Somaliland shouldnt intervere in their business.

  18. Faroole should talk with his pirate cousins in Eyl, with Caalin over Galkacyo and with Atam over Galgala. Somaliland and Somalia governing issue's are no concern of my or your sub-clan.
  19. Now ask yourself is there double shortage of land in a matter of couple of years? No. So economic wise its illogic. you should read some on Real Estate bubbels. We are having one here in the Nederlands, after 20 years of price increases, the bubble seems to be bursting and now the prices are decreasing with same speed.

  21. Che, sees to agree with Faroole and wants Somaliland and Puntland to talk. Talks about what che? Samafal sub-clans should talk to sub-clans. I can ask my Caaqil or Suldaan to talk to Faroole. Or else Faroole should talk with Caalin on Galkacyo.
  22. http://somalilandproperties.com/?p=414 38.000 dollar for a little piece of land. this is beyond any logic. Did you know you can buy a piece of land in Kampala(Capital of Uganda, 25 million people) for couple of thousand of dollar. Soon this bubble will burst and many folks will loose their "investment".
  23. Che -Guevara;802008 wrote: This is an improvement Xaaji. We went from 'we have nothing to do with Somalia' to we will talk to them....now talk to your cousins to the east, it's next logical thing to do. SSC?

Bernie Madoff like ponzi scheme. people are buying shares of this company and are beign mugged. The owners of the company started selling the share back in 2007 for 30 dollar, within half year the price dropped to 2 dollar, and every other year they start its annual Propaganda wich makes the price go up and it all drops again back and folks loosing money.
