Professor Cali Khalif Galaydh rejects the new constitution
Carafaat replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
Xiin, adeer, Cali has support of President Shraiif, Galmudug, Khatumo, Muqdisho elders, and islamic elders. I wonder who supports this constitution except for Pirate Faroole and Abdiwali? How many communities, how many politicians. -
Adeer, let them give warnings to pirate and secessionist Faroole. We won't accept this attempt to abduct the Somali people, why Muqdisho is recovering and rebuilding. And hope is returning, pirates are attempting to abduct Somali's for ever through their constitution.
-
Xiinfaniin, anonymous pirate version aa so walaaqday oo so galisay websitekaaga lama rabo.no date, no version nr, no tfg intro, anything. This is what they call an illegal pirate copy, aamin ma laha adeer. Mid TFG soo saartay la rabaa, oo version nr, date, saxeexa PM Abdiwali saaran yahay.

Ngonge, its not because he is an amateur. I suspect he is planning to give them poisoned food last minute when they have no other alternatives.
-
Why publish only the older version of 2010, while there is a final draft? Why create all this confusion? Unless he is planning to pull another Garowe and suprise everyone with a last minute Faroole. pirate politics is hilarious, but quite distructive.
-
quite confusing. why is one hiding the final draft? everyone knows there is one? and when will it be published? constitution dadka laqa qaraniniyo, aniga waa ii kow.
-
the draft from 2010? or the final draft sxb?
-
where is the final draft sxb? can you a give a call to Abdiwali, most likely he will listen to you.
-
Xiin's thread has been flooded with dozens stakeholders opposing it and with dozens of arguments of what is wrong with the constitution. Even the President of the nation is calling it awfull. Will Xiin admit that this constitution and the process followed are flawd? Or will he stand by his cousin Abdiwali and Faroole and impose this flawd constitution on the Somali people?

Ahlusuna wal jamaca supports Somalilands quest for statehood
Carafaat replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
First Galmudug, then Ximan and Xeeb and now ASWJ support Somaliland's recongnition. Xaaji, what is going on? -
Ngonge, if one is serieuz about this consultation then why call opponents or critics 'spoilers'? He could have simply said, we hear you and we are going to change those articles the Somali people disagree about. And then make some minor changes.
-
“I share that I am not satisfied with some awful articles included into the new constitution and strongly ask to remove.” President Sharif said during his public address of the 52nd anniversary of Somali National Army. that is a serieuz statement one cant ignore. This process has to be stopped if even the leader of the country is calling it awfull.
-
On his part, the Prime Minister Prof Abdiweli M. Ali announced the completion of the draft constitution and dismissed the opponents’ views by arguing that 99 % of the critics did not read the constitution. He has yet to publish the final draft of the constitution for transparency and public comment. I bet that TFG leaders did not read the Draft Constitution either. Otherwise they would not have released the unedited first draft of July 2010 for public consultation in March 2012. Will Abdiwali pull another Faroole trick and come with another final draft constitution last minute? We ask the Prime Minister, where is the final draft? And why not publish an official Somali and English version on the TFG website or the website of the IFCC, www.dastuur.com?

on a personal note regarding this discussion on the Constitution. From Puntland's perspective I can fully understand that Puntland's structures are ready to function as a federal State. Just like I can understand that Somaliland's ambitions to become a full fledging recongnized country. However I oppose both. Not because they can't, I am sure they could. But because I belief its in the interest of all Somali's to stay together as a united country with strong regional and central institutions and goverment. Thats is the only way we could look beyond the current, end our internal issue's and compete and participate on economic, social, political with africa and the world. And fullfill our people's needs. Paragon, I am guilty of idealism and of being a dreamer. But one needs to be if we want a diffrent future. I am sure those men sitting under trees in Burco back in 1991 and Garowe in 1998, were dreaming and hoping of abetter future. We are thankfull they havent let themselves be limited in their actions and a mbitiouns by reality and neither should we!
-
Paragon, nobody is suggesting to sideline Puntland. I understand and fully support the need for local and regional political ownership, not being dicated by central rule(which Somalia has its fair share of bad experience with). In fact I have once though federalism was the solution, till I was inspired by former PM Abdirizaq Haji Husseen's article on Somalia future constitutional structure. This made me rethink and read more about the subject. http://hiiraan.com/op2/2011/apr/the_future_constitutional_structure_of_the_somali_republic_federal_or_decentralized_unitary_state.aspx I can recommend everyone to read it. And I am sure Abdirizaaq Xaji Xusseen's words have no ill intentions other then to warn us , guide us and advice us. In fact his suggestion of a decentralized unitary state, is a combination and best of both worlds. strong local and regional governance structure without Somalia being paralyzed by "federal states". This could be the compromise between central unitary state and federalism. Remember most countries in the world have this kind of structure, even some who carry the name of federalism.

Another nice try. my testimony about Dr.Ali Khaliif Galeyr. http://www.somaliaonline.com/community/showthread.php/61560-A-testimony-on-Ali-Khaliif-Galeyr?highlight=khaliif+galeyr Another thing, don't the secessionists know that the very reason why Khaatumo folk oppose the constitution may have more to do with their ill-placed rivalry towards Faroole's clan name than any sound policy considerations? You doubt Khatumo folks intentions? Others doubt my intention for rejecting this constitution. How about President Shariif's intentions? And Galmudug's intentions? And former PM Geedi intentions? And Muqdisho elders intentions? I suggest we discuss the content rather then bringing everyone's intentions in to question. The question here is: who stands for constitution and who stands for chaos. I chose the former regardless of its supporters. a constitution contains values shared by all, rules that apply for all, laws that apply everywhere. It is something which should be owned, supported and valued by all. But it seems this is not the case. And its rather the propenents who seem to be on the shorter end of the argument and of the support. Wanting to oppose something which is not shared by all and therefor creating the unnecessary khilaaf, division and thus chaos.
-
Samafal, nice try to divert attention from real issue. President Shariif, former PM Geedi and former PM Ali Khaliif Galeyr, Galmudug also reject the constitution. It seems only Puntland supports the constitution. Unless Siilanyo told you he supports it as well.

Professor Cali Khalif Galaydh rejects the new constitution
Carafaat replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
If in Somalia people from diffrent clans can share and live togather in the same region and city. If Al Shabaab can govern entire regions. Then for sure one can share regions, cities, regional admins and a central goverment. Without seperating eachother in diffrent States, dividing cities and dividing regions. Alliyah, when people rather attack a persons character, it usually means they dont have any arguments. -
If those propagating the flawd Puntland constitution that is considered by many an affront against Somalinimo, will they propagate a better constitution for the rest of Somalia?
