Somaliland vice President arrives in the republique de Djibouti+PICTURES
Carafaat replied to Xaaji Xunjuf's topic in Politics
Omer Guelleh is in stress and he is looking for new opportunities and allies. we will keep an eye on how this develops. -
no new words, but I suspect people use these words to express a diffrent charge: Gooni isutaag, Federalism, Maamul Goboleed, dastuur, madax banaanid, xuquuqal insaanka,bariga/galbeedka magalada, etc

On many positive and negative things Somaliland like gave the example. tusbaxan kala datay Somaliland ayaa furtay, Somaliland uun ayaa laga so xiri karaa. But that will be difficult if Somalia falls apart in dozens of "states".

ElPunto;836598 wrote: Carafaat - waxay kaga dhegtay federalism. What is so inherently bad about federalism that dozens of countries and regions before us have found? What is the difference between the decentralization you favour and federalism? What does it matter if certain clans predominate in certain areas as long as everyone has the same rights - ie your obsession with 'clan' federalism? You sound like a broken record. ElPunto, With federalism itself is nothing wrong. But we Somali's tend to confuse the allocation of power with the sovereign power. So to decide that regions get a mandate or power on many diffrent issue's, big budget, number of seats according to regions in Parliament, I dont have any problem with. But laying the sovereignity or sovereign power with federal states is a receipt for disaster sxb, certainly in the Somalia context with the risk of down drillings to sub-sub levels. The recent example of parts of "states" opposing and others supporting and participating in the Turkey Conference. And thus creating more chaos is undesirable. Imagine if a small dispute small breaks out between two "states" and if states are sovereign they can decide which side to support and how to get advantage from it. Sxb, it will become the Somali version of the dark ages.

what are Somaliland and Djibouti cooking these days. I smell fish. Can somebody spill the beans. Or do I have to guess. -
Fiqiyare, you stated earlier that Turkey's role was political motivated and accused Turkey of a number of issue. For example wanting to to impose a centralized state, obstructing the Road map, wanting to engage and compromise with a terrorist organisation of Al Shabaab, one sided spending of funds. What has changed on those points except for the Turks to send a plane to pick up elders? Here at the comments you posted earlier about Turkey in case you forgat. http://www.somaliaonline.com/community/showthread.php/65216-Puntland-and-Galmudug-Withdraw-Participation-at-Istanbul-Conference-II-on-Somalia-Joint-Statement/page3

Qandalawi;836512 wrote: Carafaat, I'm not trying to divert anything, tis you who's dwelling on a different issue. Remember and focus please, the thread is about Xaabsade's refusal of entry, as we all know you are here to defend the secessionists setback but defend it gracefully without changing the subject. Sxb, in the greater event of the Turket Conference and in the diplomatic circles of Somalia one can consider Xaabsade not having a foreign passport a triviality compared to the serieuz accusations made against the host country of the Conference for being political motivated, wanting to establish a centralized goverment, supporting Al Shabaab, mismanaging and spending 400 million dollar funds in Xamar. Those who made those accusation should atleast motivate their change of minds point for point. Duke's argument of Turkey sending a plane to pick up some traditional elders does not clarify nor solve the issue, me thinks.

Duke, is this how you hide your internal division. Couple days ago you were calling Faroole a foo, Islaan Bashir defied him and went to Xamar. And now your saying he got apologies. So what changed in your position except for Turks sending a plane to pick up, isimadii xamar kasoo cararay. Qandalawi, marka ceebta Faroole la asturiyo ma waxa lagu asturaa secessionism. nice distraction, but it failed to work sxb.

struggling to start a thread. could this be the end of 'our' alpha?
Carafaat replied to Alpha Blondy's topic in General
Alpha, I am your (online) inadeero and I am telling you commiit e-suicide and come back as a elitist dandy black british rebel, "Lord Johnson". This shy, introvert, cultured, back to the roots figure of Alpha Blondy is quite sad and makes me think of Whoobi Goldberg back in 90's with the whole rasta and "I am africa" mentality. So sad. -
Looooool@Chihuahua mentality. Spot on sxb. You should know people are intimidated by a small dog rather then a big and furry one.

Puntland gets her way once again: #Istanbul update
Carafaat replied to VivaSomaliaa's topic in Politics
Duke, the rift is quite clear. Fiqiyare tried to do your job as Puntland Sping Master. He made Faroole look even more embarrasing with a 12 page long thread how Puntland denounced the Instanbul Conference and then again supported it, without even explaining why Faroole opposed and why he changed his mind again. Sxb, soo noqo. Reerka needs a mouth piece and Fiqiyare is embarrasing Faroole even more. -

Duke, Why isn't Islaan Bashiir on that list? Good to have atleast some sensible traditional leaders who don't follow Faroole's embarassing policies. -
Moonlight, come on. You can do better then that, federalism vs centralized state and using Somaliland as excus justification. Repeating the same lines as kingofkings is an insult of your intellectual capacity. Who wrote this script I wonder?

Moonlight this thread is about the issue of dictatorial clan federalism(kali-federalismo), aniga federal state ah oo dadka xukumiya in Somalia. Maybe you want to shed your light on this worrying trend if you care about Somalia. Mise waxa leedahay qof qabiil x ahi kama hadli karo arimaha Somalia quseeya? Hadaad saas leedihid adiguna maxa uga hadli weydey?

Ahmed, Ali, Mohamed, Abdi. From Clan X,Y,Z. with support from foreign actors A,B,C,D, probablywill form a coalition with someone from clan S,Z,W,Q. Result is competition between Ali and Mohamed, cause they have raised more money and more foreign based supporters. Winner will be declared eventually by Mahiga. What is the background or achievement of Ahmed, Ali, Mohamed and Abdi stand for, what they belief is, what their program is and the strategy they will use to implement it, seems to concern nobody. Shamefull!!!!

Coofle interesting theorie there. Indeed we Somali are a breed recently introduced in to new terrestrial area/era. We are going through the same phases as the archaeophyte, but in a much faster turpo speed. the question is can this be done in a cautious way to prevent fatal errors others before us made?
