Everywhere despised, mistrusted and looked down upon. all they are reduced to is boasting of medieval glories to massage their bruised egos. they don't understand that the arrow of time always moves forward and to succeed you must change with the times. First, you seem to equate Islam with dictatorial regimes (the same regime that you seem to support, like in Egypt). Second, Islam is growing rapidly, according to many sources even the fastest growing religion. So your statement here is incorrect. It seems rather a bit of wishfull thinking. The question is why? Why do wish or hope to change the heart of believers?
  3. Maaddeey, Dahir Riyaale 8 sano ayuu Madexweyne ahaa. That is more years then Abdiqasim Salad was in power.
  4. Xaaji, according to many sources Al Shabaab has even informants/members within the goverment and security forces. That makes it difficult for people to come forward and provide information and intelligence to the goverment. Amiin daro weyn ayaa jirta.
  5. Great pictures. Thanks for posting Safferz.

C) Most importantly who defines the clan-state borders. Very important questions. The very suggestion of 'federalism' to be implemented could lead to a new civil war. From Kismayo, to Marka, Beletweyn, all the way to Mudug, folks are busy fighting eachother in order to establish rivaling clan states.

Even if there was no attack at all, is that Dhabshiil's fault?. There were three attacks, the third target was the UNDP office in Hargeysa.

The agreement in Turkey was merely about establishing an office for the federal aviation agency of Somalia in Hargaysa-- Nothing more, nothing less. However; It is unfortunate that some delusional secessionists believed their own lies and tried to turn that agreement into something it never was. The agreement was clear sxb. Point 6 of the agreement clearly stated the establishment of the Air Control body in Hargeysa. Even the Turkish goverment Press release mentioned it. http://www.mfa.gov.tr/no_-197_-10-july-2013_-press-release-regarding-the-second-round-of-talks-between-somalia-and-somaliland.en.mfa
  9. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QjYlHonJ8k0&feature=youtube_gdata_player Interesting Intervieuw with Ciilmooge. There seem to be diffrent vieuws and interpretations on the Turkey agreement within the Somali cabinet.
  10. The Minister clearly states the headquarters of Air traffic control shall be located in Mogadishu, he even refers to the international convention of Chiacgo on Civil Aviation and the Federal Constitution of Somalia. Neither documents mention anything about location or headquarters of Air traffic control. So what is the exact status of the recent agreement and the talks between Somaliland and Somalia??

Compare the progress made between August 2011 (when Al Shabaab left Mogadishu) till August 2012 when the city was very much secured and the territory under the government's control expanding rapidly, to the period between September 2012-July 2013. Clearly security and military progress have regressed or stalled completely. Thats when AMISOMs funding period was about to end and they decided to show some progress and started an offensive in order to get an extension of their funding. Amisom set-up 24 military bases around Xamar, before that Amisom was only present in Villa Somalia and Airport for nearly 3 years. While rest of city wsd occupied by AL shabaab. http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-16646311

  16. Guys, We need to be more patient. Its easy to criticize and find faults, but its much more difficult to come up with alternatives. AMISOM was deployed in Mogadishu in 2008 and Sheick Shariif was elected in january 2009, but they only managed to drive out AL Shabaab from Mogadishu by mid of 2012. It took them nearly 3 years to liberate Mogadishu. Hasan Sheick hasn't even been in the job for a year. But his government already filled the (political) vacuum left by Al Shabaab in Beletweyn, Baidoa, Gedo, Marka, etc. So be patient and give the government some time.
  17. Its seems quite clear what kind of a a relationship Somalia and Somaliland are heading for. wee iska cadahay.

The prophet followed Gabriel and came so close to God that he actually felt the nearness of God. Gabriel then said to him "I can not walk any further", but the prophet did. The prophet also led the prayers in Quds, he was made imam rusuli of all of gods chosen prophets,. Thats enough for me, I dont need other people confirming my faith. +1
