Wadani;879551 wrote: By nationality yes, but not by ethnicity. The Bantu of Somalia are a peace loving people who have been perennially oppressed by marauding hordes of savage nomads. I hardly see any diffrence between Bantu-Somali and Geeljire-Somali. Specially Oba's unuka folks and around 60% of my sub-clan have Bantu features. Jaceylbaro and Alpha Blondy are good examples of Wagosha Somalillanders.

He is closer to his people in Las canood today, then he would be if in Moqadishu. atleast in terms of distance.

Haatu;879431 wrote: Nobody said Kismaayo reer Hebel baa leh. It belongs to all Somalis. All we're saying is give the locals of the region the right to discuss their future like people in other parts of the country are doing. That's it. The days of warlords are over sxb. Haatu, what you are saying here sounds reasonable. But who is 'we'. Cause your friend Zack and Xiinfaniin all are saying something completely diffrent. Kismayo and Jubba belongs to our clan, were Xiin's earlier words. Same goes for the militias, they seem to want control rather then giving the locals 'their rightd'. 'D Sxb distentiate yourself from this kind of this 'tuulo belongs to our clan' thinking. waa iga talo.

Somalia;879523 wrote: Cairo conference was already a failure, Arta turned out to be a failure, so this initiative was indeed a glimmer of hope, shame it didn't pan through! This initiative was intended to destroy the first 4.5 glimmer of hope of back then(Artah). Just like such an initiative today would obstruct the current revival of Somalia. Or in 2004 in Embaghati.

Taleexi, Egal(aun) was the early architect of Artah. Eventhough he disagreed with Omer Guelleh and Abduqadim Salat in a later stage. Second Puntland was hardly an administrative goverment in 1999, Muqdisho not destroyed as it is today and Somaliland was just recoverin from decades of civil wars and not really in any mood in political turmoil. I am just adding some important variable the author 'forget' to mention.

Oba, my tuulo should definetly become the Somali goat capital. We have the best and brightest of all goats. No Mareeg or Cowl goat can match our league.

Mario B;879415 wrote: I don't understand Somalia's logic, if the capital is moved, it will still be moved to a city that is inhabited with a majority clan wether it be Hargeisa, Garowe, Bossaso, Galkayo or Baidoa. If he is talking about building a city from scratch then he is mistaken, Somalia doesn't have the funds for that type of fancy project. Good argument against moving the capital. How about multiple capitals? Judicary, Legislative, Executive, Agricultural, Touristic, Fish, Camel, etc. A capital for every unuka.

Oba we should regard it as an honour that a jamaican mum called her kid after us. Imagine a mum in the world calling her kid Xabashi, Kikuyu or Abo Gaal. how insulting that would be.

Conflicts in Somalia are all same, competition for land and meagre resources coupled self-serving leaders who know how to ignite tribal passions regardless tribal proximity. Che, true that. But this aint a clan war, this has become a family war and this sometimes more painfull. -
