  1. ^^^ Why do you always sound like a black man that just realized slavery ended? Aaliyyah-- You just need one good person to keep you entertained with texting, then get back to me lol preferably the opposite sex... it just adds a nuanced bonus layer of qoq haha oh boy.
  2. Aaliyyah;826537 wrote: loool..tan kale you said they are not worth talking to? how come you are spending time writting paragraphs?? you are wasting just as much time writing those paragraphs heedhe if you dont like them dont text them even lol... salaam There is a therapeutic component to texting, really... (somebody should look into this) lol I have a healthy imagination, so writing novels *ahem* i mean texting is no burden on me (i can't speak for the receiving end haha). In fact i see it as a healthy platform for my narcissistic alter ego that boarders on delusions of grandeur sometimes Aaliyyah;826537 wrote: as for your comment about grammatical errors? English is not everyone's first language..some people speak four and above languages..Unless you mean if they speak in ghetto manner..(probably that would tell u a lot abt that person but then wouldnt they converse in the same way).. True, English is not everyone's first language... and in fact, bilingual/trilingual folks have a better proficiency. However, that is not what i was talking about... I'm talking about my ghetto/Ebonics slanging folks I don't have a problem with that either (different story) but i think efforts need to be made when addressing people. Don't confuse me more than i need to be by using every damn number & symbol on the key board before i see a single alphabet -____- really?! lol $T0P !T
  3. I have to disagree with you Aaliyah (I'm one of those people that texts paragraphs) Personally i love texting, there are some people that are not just worth talking to on the phone. I call them surface level people... they are painfully boring, & quite frankly i'd rather get my toe nails plucked instead of hearing their voice (too far?) But, nevertheless they are significant people in your life that you just can't cut them off, so texting suffices lol Also, it doesn't mean everyone falls in this category for me... there are people i love texting & equally talking to them. To each its own... you can tell a lot about a person by their grammatical errors haha
  4. ^^^ haha, oh boy... here we go. (sits back to watch)
  5. OMG what are you doing to me?! foodgasm lol
  6. Oh never mind, explaining it will just kill the purpose of the Joke. Uncle ruckus is the epitome of a man that doesn't know of his roots. I love the Boondocks.
  7. Yeah, yeah, yeah... whatever! I'm up for it, who is ready to prick me, or swab my cheeks?! or do whatever science juju that comes with it. I've had dreams that i belonged to the Aryan race, my dark skin tone is just a genetic mutation lol
  8. She's delusional, wearing skimpy bathing suits and being a contestant in a superficial competition goes against all that she stands for. I understand she is probably trying to use this as an exposure platform, but there are many other ways to do so that don't require the degradation. Aside from that she is beautiful mA, and that dark skin comment was just so unnecessary  These are the same folks that complain & ridicule too if she were to bleach her skin, DAAA ****?!!
  9. ^^^ LOL tell him MMA. Accusing women of using Diana has become a knee jerk response to ANYTHING these days... stop the madness, there are naturally light skin women. Anyway, what does that have to do w/this video? focus on the content.
  10. You have figured me out, oh you genius you
  11. This reminds me of a 'women & genders' intro course, Somali version If there was only such a thing I would get up every morning & sit in the front row & be a teacher's pet lol
  12. Thank you guys for sharing, i really appreciate this Nuune, enough w/the jinnis man lol
  13. I'm glad you took the noble route Forest Whitaker & exercised some tact... as you can see i clearly lack that haha.
  14. Aaaaah thanks MMA, i love Hibo nuuro (if my eyes haven't started failing me that is) Now i gotta work on getting the translation haha.

  16. LOL no i meant the thread you attached, the songs... any specific reason? (I'm trying to put the psychological moves on you) "How does it make you feel?" *reclines back on the coach* lol
  17. Hahaha, NOOOO WAYYY THIS CAN BE LEGIT. Oh the sheer indho adeyg... "life is too short" kulaha  Yea sure, let me abandon everything I'm doing in my life and escort around a bunch of men, who are probably balding, with an erectile dysfunction & trying to over compensate with their wallets  STOP IT, STOP IT NOW.
  18. Thanks, why did you post those songs?

I am not sure any Soomaali would help you with this, since heesaha don't shape or pretty much resonate with their lives. Personally, I sometimes listen to heeso (and my laptop has 1,100 of videos and MP3s of Soomaali songs), but by no means does any hees shape my life. Perhaps wadani songs I respect might resonate and remind me the heydays of the country, still doesn't shape my life. Thanks MMA, maybe my wording was a little strong... honestly any reaction whether deep or surface level to Somali music would be greatly appreciated. & the reason why i picked this broad topic is because (from a younger generation perspective) i have a different connection to Somali music than the older generation. I don't remember/know Somalia, not to get too sappy or anything but it is my form of literature/knowledge (hence epistemology).
  20. Hello my Dudes, & Dudettes Quick question, what does Somali Music mean to you? As in how does it shape your life (if it does at all) Is there a specific song/artist that you deeply resonate it? (if so attach it, w/a brief description please). I am trying to get a general idea/survey of how people identify/connect with Somali music. Obviously, all these questions are to help me in a research project I'm doing for a class. My general aim is to present Somalia in a different light, from the arts/entertainment angle. & Shall i mention i live in a tuulo, so this would help me very, very much as to eradicating some ignorant perceptions Peace, love and black supremacy!

  23. Size and all that misogynistic mambo jambo is relative to each individual... i just hope these ladies are doing it for health reasons/themselves, and not persuaded by the prevailing western ideals of beauty (driving by capitalism)
