@Nin-Yaaban said: Blame it on that fat prime minister guy, the Abdirashid dude. Ive seen him once here in my state and he looks like he hasn't missed one meal in his lifetime. Probably sold our sea for some Food. LooL It is mind-boggling to see people throwing insults in Ramadan. Truth needs to be told: When Somalia's TFG parliament rejected the maritime deal between the TFG and Kenya in 2011 and it was sent to President Sharif to sign it, it was PM Omar Abdirashid who directed his foreign minister Ali Ahmed Jengeli to take the decision of the TFP and filed it with the UN after former President Sharif signed the TFP's decision. In other words, Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmarke had fulfilled his duty in that case.

Could this be a legal maneuvering? Is it possible that the Kenyans initiated this meeting, so they can prove to the ICC that they tried to resolve the issue with the Somalis and it is the Somalis that are intransigence here? And to respond to this new development, Somalis are acting they themselves tried to resolve the issue with Kenya but after we tried, we could not agree? I contemplated those questions because, according to the SFG's brief statement, they stated we should negotiate with Kenya and at the same time continue the case at ICC. But why does it have to be secret then? At the end of the day, I would not expect the men and (perhaps women) who failed to pay the salary of the security forces to defend Somalia's territorial seas. They have enough money to travel and go to one conference after another, but they can't pay the salary of the security forces? And we expected these guys to defend Somalia's territorial sea?

That is bs; since when did he have say in that union? The guy is an old fart who has historically known to be a Soomaalidiid hog-wash supporter. In this incident, where he blew the cover of the Soomaalidiid-in-disguise (aka Khaatumo-La'aan group), he just told us that they are old farts like him. Too good for Mr Degel's case, and too bad for Xaaji Xanjuf's case.

General Duke;729142 wrote: ^^^Your point is we should not hold our leaders accountable? I disagree, from the back of a PC, one can voice his concerns regardless. Under the current PL system, it is the parliament and the traditional elders that can deal with the government if it is not performing. Our people are clannish, so until reform takes place in the parliament, the only time one can change the president is during the election.

I remember Colonel Dhegaweyne being in the complete mercy of reer Sool when he was fighting against Abdiraxmaan Tuur in Berbera. We used to arm him, gave him food and shelter, and he used to bring his wounded LA. That policy served us well because SL civil war dragged on, and Abdirahman Tuur and co were eventually evicted from Berbera. He, Dhegaweyne, later on thanked us for the military aid. For ina Mohamed Mire, I remember him asking us savage passage to Burao when there was the Habar Habar war. I think he is using the reer Abti card and saying ..... -
TFG should get independence from AMISOM and Mahiga before issuing any declarations.

Nomads in Dhoodi, Nugaal valley has found 10 more bodies in addition 26 confirmed dead, which the Soomaalidiids aka SL militia left hastily when they were crushed in that adventure!

What do you expect if one is running around with a racket? The whole SSC Hogaanka Booga Booga was a racket to raise money from Islaamaha, so some racketeers could shine themselves while blaming all problems on PL, and at the sametime asking Siilaanyo to give them a PM or several ministers. Many diaspora fell for the game and gave their money. That has all strengthened the pockets of Saleebaan Wajixaad (who hates his father by the way and his subclan), Xaartoosiye aka Xaglatoosiye, and many other racketeers who were raising the money in the diaspora. In the city where I live, this chick, who is part of the racketeers, that run with the SSC Hogaanka Booga bought a big mansion with the money she raised from this city and its environs. Well, the people who were dubbed learned the trick and kept the money to their pockets. Mar i dage Alle ha dago, labo jeer i dagase anaa isu dagay!

Baashi;728926 wrote: Waa runtii. Faroole is and has been a failure. I agree on 1 & 6. The way he handled SSC conflict is arguably questionable. Siding with Sakiin against Farmaajo is very telling. Oday Faroole cimaamadii baa ka dhacday . Rooting for conniving Sakiin -- I'm still scratching my head on this move! I disagree with both the General and Baashi on the Sool, Southern and Eastern Sanaag, and Cayn regions' point. President Faroole visited Sool region late last year. Currently, Tukaraq acts as the defacto capital of Sool region at this current stage until Soomaalidiid aka SL is kicked out of LA. President Faroole actually visited both Tukaraq and several other towns late last year. He has also implemented several eduaction and medical projects. In the Cayn region, PL officials visit there constantly. In the recent attack on Tukaraq, PL military came to the aid of the local defenders and crushed the Soomaalidiid aggressors. Truth be told, Faroole cannot be blamed on the division that exists my clan, reer Garaad clan. He has always encouraged Reer Garaad clan to get out of the internal bickering and see the bigger picture. He is the 1st president in PL who allocated Reer Garaad clan 6 or 7 ministers in his government in addition to the the Vice President position. The largest amount of ministers that Reer Garaad clan had in the previous PL governments were three and President Faroole had increased those portfolios to at least 6. Nin wax ogi hakuu waramo. The day we, Reer Garaad clan, are capable of shooting our traitors insight, that is the day that PL's help can be seen. How do you help a clan with different loyalties where some dance around on a bogus entity named SSC Booga Booga, where some support the another bogus group named NSUM, where some support SL and are fighting for it, and where the rest support PL? President Faroole is doing the best he can under those circumstances. On the multi-party systems, I have a different opinion. It is a recipe for disaster if multi-party system is hastily implemented. The election criteria of parliamentarians should be strengthened. The current consensus based system should be strengthened, and qualifications of parliamentarians should be raised, where at minimum they need to have at least a 2-year college degree. As it is obvious, this selection of parliamentarians with the final signature of the traditional elders is not producing the kind of parliamentarians that we need, who could deal with the government, and who could keep it accountable. In my view, reform should start at the parliament, and not always the executive. Law makers should know their job and should be able to carry it out. To the president Faroole's credit, he has managed to pay all civil servants and strengthened the security forces. That itself is an achievement. The president is a no-nonsense guy and he says it like it is. That is where his advisers needs to script the president as it seems it puts many people off. On other point, no comments.

OneManGang;727225 wrote: First of all, I haven't read the article, but just reading the title alone, I wholeheartedly conquer that the Puntland Administration not only betrayed Sool , Sanaag and Ceyn regions, but also other regions in Mudug and Sanaag. Before anyone jump on my bandwagon, I do hail form Mudug and I consider myself a Puntlander. I have completely lost faith in the current Puntland administration for the simple fact that It has let down almost every region and city that's not Nugaal and Garowe. Having said that, some our brothers in SSC need to have principles. I've heard a lot of SSC fanatics distancing themselves from the Puntland because , a useless president is running the affairs. You can be pro Puntland and still be against it's leaders just like me and a lot of others from Mudug, Bari and Sanaag. Actually, I disagreed with you on Faroole as he did not betray Sool, Souther Sanaag, and Cayn regions (Reer Garaad clan territories). In fact, we, reer Garaad, betrayed ourselves. This betrayal started in 2000 when one of our boys lost the TNG PM job in Mogadishu and from that day there were some diaspora based politicians who wanted so-called maamul-goboleed that they can negotiate with SL or TFG. We betrayed ourselves when some of us are with the Soomaalidiid entity. We betrayed ourselves when we refused to come up a consensus on how to deal with with the traitors in our midst. We betrayed ourselves when some politicians and several traditional elders met a hotel in Nairobi and declared an entity called SSC Hogaanka Booga Booga; and when that entity seeked legitimacy from the rest of the traditional elders, 11/13 traditional elders rejected it, but still those who created it are running with it as if it has a legitimacy. We failed ourselves when we could not agree how to confront Soomaalidiid who is control of our main city. We failed ourselves when the leaders of this entity, SSC Hogaanka Booga Booga, who are blaming PL not going to war with SL on LA, are also begging SL president to give them PM or several more minister potfolios. Bro, Educate yourself in Reer Garaad clan problems. We are in internal squablings and nothing else, and we are the worst enemy to each other. For Faroole, there is going to be an election in 2014, and that is going to be the time the verdict is delivered. I never blame him individually but collective responsibility for all PLers. After all PL is in a tough neighborhood where there are many forces undermining it. SL, TFG, Al-Shabaab; front groups like SSC Hogaanka Booga Booga, Sheekh Atom group, clan conflicts; corruption, Ethiopia, the West, ......(the list is long).
