  1. Both of you guys above me, have pointed out the achievements and peace you guys have, but both of you did not thank Allah or even said ALLHAMDULILAH. Allah gives life and can end life...ilmo adeerayaalo Ilaahi ha casina ee uu shukriya Alle. Thank Allah and show gratitude to Allah. Allah SWT can in 1 second take away those things you guys are highlighting. Also make Du'a for us in South Somalia and the rest of the Muslim Umah around the world....indeed unity is what is compulsory for us Muslims and not division.

Its leader was a camel thief at heart and his mission was to grab land as well as camels. In his time as liberate of Somalia as some refer to him he killed more Somalis than whitemen and when he was defeated it was clear his mission of fighting the whiteman was a lie. The British left Somalia as they had found not as an anglican put post in the horn. What amazes me is whilst this so called freedom was fighting the British his people were being occupied by the Ethiopians, why was he wasting time and energy on British Somaliland, a group of people who did not need saving. Till today 100's later his people are occupied by brute force and Somalilanders are free. The moral of the story is charity starts at home; if you to be a freedom fight, free your people first not a group that's not interested in being free.. Are you mad? It's due to the Dervish that British Somaliland got independent. Also the Dervish were mostly made up from people that hailed from Sool and Sanaag regions. You said why did Sayidka ignore Kilinka 5aad from Abysinnian empire. Well Sayidka and many more Somali leaders like Ahmed Gurey, Ibn Nuur Mujahid were fighting against Abysinnia for many centuries, when 'white' people came to colonise Somalia, Sayidka organised freedom fighters that hailed from Sool, Sanaag and many areas in Kilinka 5aad to fight against the Brits. This is brave; fighting two fronts! It shows people's love to ISLAM and SOMALINIMO, something people these days lack......! 4. LOL how many flags are there in that street?? Wallahi, I'm scared that Al-Shabaab might take advantage of 18 May, and do some suicide or computerised bombings like it happened in 2008 even though that time it wasn't 18 May. Hopefully the regional forces of Somaliland State will be in full force and not get into the party spirit mood.
  5. I have read previous pages, but it is bleak....was he pioneering against the British, was he a army commander for the British or the Somali freedom fighters (Dervish)? It is not making sense, there are some members that are even suggesting he was supporting the British...which is what? I know there were many Somalis during that period that used to support the British and were against their own Somali people, just wanted to know if he was like those people.........

  8. Wallahi same here, I never heard of Igare. Who was he and what did he do? In brief please anyone?
  9. Mohamed Said Atam, whose militia is battling Puntland security forces in the mountainous area of Galgala, has denied he has any links with militant Islamist group al-Shabaab and said he has not been involved in a series of killings in Bosaso and Galkayo. “Those saying we have links with al-Shabaab have closer ties with al-Shabaab than us,” he said in a broadcast speech, adding that rumored links with Eritrea, often accused of providing the insurgent group with arms and money, were also non-existent. Puntland has accused al-Shabaab, through Atam, of trying to destabilize the semi-autonomous state through a spate of assassinations of public figures and businessmen, but the militia leader denied this. “These actions started before our revolt and it is clan-based conflict,” he said. “We are not against peace with Puntland, we are protecting our own territories ... and our oil resources. “They wish us flee from our settlements so they can exploit our resources; that was the root cause of the conflict ... we are available to negotiate,” he added. Dozens have been killed in fighting in Galgala in recent days, and Atam says he is currently in full control of the region. Residents in Suqur, 20 kilometers east of Bosaso, said that heavily armed pro-Atam forces set up in the settlement early Tuesday, and are worried that Puntland authorities are planning an attack to dislodge these troops. "We heard more troops from Puntland are going to attack the settlement ... we are tense and you see militia all around the streets," one resident told Somalia Report. Puntland security officials refused to discuss specific operations, but said plans were afoot to attack Atam's positions. Sources close to al-Shabaab also told Somalia Report that around 200 of its fighters were backing Atam, with the remit of killing Puntland officials. Another murder Meanwhile a third businessman - Abdinur Salad - was assassinated in Bosaso overnight Monday, following on from two killings over the weekend. “We heard gunshots just a few minutes after we came out from the mosque ... and outside we saw the businessman dead,” Khalif Abdi, a resident in Bosaso, told Somalia Report. Residents in Galkayo and Bosaso are worried about the increasing insecurity, blaming the Puntland Authorities for not doing enough to tackle the problem. “The security situation is worsening and there is concern about who is behind the killing of the politicians, elders and Islamic scholars,” Mohamed Yasin, an intellectual and peace activist, told Somalia Report. So Atam and his force are fighting Puntland for clan reason. Due to protecting his clans natural resources...........Ar Hooy Soomaliyeey Towbadkeena! Dagaal wiil ma ku dhashee ee wiil baa ku dhinto.........
  10. Somalia's Health Minister Dr. Adan Xaaji Ibrahim Daa'ud should be congratulated for backing his country medical needs in Geneva.
  11. OdaySomali;719815 wrote: Xeefow, thanks for your imput sxb. I have a question for you, do you think the TFG is autonomoud enough to serve as a government for Somalia considering is backers and bankrollers and the unbelievable influence that external powers have ? Do you think it is practicle, do-able and moral to want/fight for/advocate the obliteration of Al-shabaab, their foot-soldiers and shacab who support them ? What state do you think this would leave south/central Somalia in ? How many Somalis would be killed (from all camps) before a decisive victory ? If you look carefully at the Somali (fight) arena, you can see that there are 3 parties that are currently fighting Al-Shabaab which are TFG and AMISOM in Mogadishu, TFG and Ahlu Sunna in Gedo, TFG only in Bakool, TFG only in upper/lower Juba, Ahlu Sunna only in Galgaduud, TFG & Ahlu Sunna in Hiiraan. So the picture is clear, the three parties are TFG, Ahlu Sunna and AMISOM. Now can these parties defeat Al-Shabaab? Well seeing the action in the last 5 months I believe so. However the problem is not the army but the political feud between the cabinet led (Farmaajo) and Parliament led (Shariff Sakiin), if this continues it can affect the military progress, futhermore if Shariff Sakiin wins the political battle then the military progress will collapse, however if Farmaajo wins the political battle and wins his 1 year extension then Al-Shabaab will lose the military incursion and will never be heard of. Somalia has many backers such as UN, individual countries, Arab League, AU, EU and many more, its upto the Somalis and the government to think wisely and decide who to side with.....and also it's the TFG responsibilty to show their sovereignty, and they should continue rejecting UN's call just like when Farmaajo rejected to attend the Nairobi meeting in April, if they continue being fearless wallahi they have gained a lot!
  12. Nice Topic! (since Al-Shabaab refused talks and peace; and victimised the people of Somalia) I genuinely support any group that fight against Al-Shabaab, let it be TFG, AMISOM, Ahlu Sunnah Wal Jam'a, Puntland, Somaliland, Galmudug, Ximan & Xeeb. In contrast once Al-Shabaab are weakened and empowered all these groups apart from AMISOM will have to sit together and come to an agreement for future government and reconciliation between Somalis away from foreign interference. Insha'allah However, in future prespectives I'm in the TFG bandwagon, specially since these new technocrats came into power that is being led by Mr. Mohamed 'Farmaajo'. I have seen so much changes; like the strenght of the TFG army let it be those in Mogadishu or those in different regions in South Somalia like Gedo, upper & lower Juba, Bakool etc,,,,,also the readily payment salaries for the soldiers and the first completed yearly financial planning, the opening of the central bank, anti corruption team implemented within the sea and airport and also within political members, the implement of TFG funded and controlled primary schools, the distribution of medical facilities such as medicine in 3 regions (Gedo, Banaadir and Galgaduud), the re-opening of the National TV, the financial distribution to 1977 war veterans and musicians, the implement of the military courts, distribution of food assistance, the increase of diaspora and internal supports for the government..............and many many many more achievments......this gives me confidence to support the current Somali government and I support their 1 year extension, however I reject the parliament due to them being the biggest obstacle since TFG was created, I'm proud that this is the first cabinet that rejected and showed no fear to the parliament. (LOL I loved it when some of the parliament members were refused to board the airplane a week ago! The Cabinet are indeed fearless looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool 'Allah (swt) knows best':) OdaySomali;719808 wrote: I didn't know what to call them. I meant them ones fighting to create azania/jubaland is that his [Hiiraale's] lot or is it ASWJ ? Barre Hiiraale is not fighting to create Azania, he is part of the TFG and was training his clansmen in Dollow (Gedo) and in Kenya and has made Alliance with his local clansmen Ahlu Sunna of Gedo, his motives is to secure Gedo Region. However last week he was jailed for physcially fighting a Ethiopian General in Dollow (Gedo), (He seriously injured the Ethiopian General) they had disagreement regarding the fight that took place in Garbaharrey, he is now taken to Dollo (Ethiopia). However the liberation still continues in Gedo, where his counter clansmen are stepping up more, like Sayid Adan, Abdi Kaliil, Fartag etc.

I just mention NFD because I would rather put the Somali area (NFD) in the limelight rather than just mention her to be from Kenya. Once again she is from the NFD area of Kenya. Her clan is irrelevant and we shouldn't randomly throw clan names into this thread. (Your ruining this inspirational thread). Are you a brick?? It's like I'm talking to wall wallahi LOL. I can even count what the Italians have built in Somalia...The stone bridge running the river of Luuq Ganaane in my region, One road in Xamar, Central Bank of Somalia in Xamar, The Arch in Xamar. The rest was built by Somalis through their own hands (even those stuff I mentioned Italians built was made by Somali labours). Between why are you adamant to repeat stuff all over again? Yes Somalis destroyed what they have built themselves, thats what you call 'War' things get damaged. Why you telling me this? We were talking about construction not destruction LOL. Insha'allah Somalis will rebuilt their land, just like before.
  15. Once again....Mogadishu was built by Somalis. Regarding where I was born is none of your business, you don't have right to be personal with me. Again what about these people? are they Italians or Somalis? Please open your eyes widely......Next time, I suggest you shouldn't lie or insult Somalis, give credit to where it's due......If you guys like praising your colonial masters (Britain) that doesn't mean you have to lie about Mogadishu and the Somalis from there. Learn the history..............!

Qaranki;719466 wrote: Somalis in Kenya have entered into the top levels of the Kenyan govt such as this lady and Farah Macalin etc. I was even reading an article about a Somali Havard grad who was thinking about running for presient there not too long ago. To say Somalis in Kenya face the same occupation as those in Ethiopia is laughable. If they want to join Somalia that is their decision nobody elses. NFD Somalis suffered just like those Somalis in Kilinka 5aad i.e Waggala Massacre and many more. I suggest you visit NFD and see the difference to the rest of Kenya in terms of development. Their dream of joining Somalia has being affected by the 1991 civil war in Somalia. That doesn't mean they are against joining Somalia. Just like in Kilinka 5aad they have their local federal government, but the Somalis there also aren't against joining Somalia. It's just the civil war in Somalia has also affected their dream. By the way, lets not ruin this thread regarding sister Amina's achievments.
  18. Qaranki, What does this got to do with this news???? Many Somalis from either NFD or Kilinka 5aad, study from the countries that occupy them....so what? So do many Palestinians that sudy in Isreal. What is your point??
  19. UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has appointed Kenya's Amina Mohamed, as assistant secretary-general and deputy executive director of the UN Environment Program (UNEP). In a statement issued on Friday, Ban said Mohamed will succeed Angela Cropper of Trinidad and Tobago, to whom the secretary-general is grateful for her outstanding contribution and exceptional service to UNEP in the deputy executive director post. "Mohamed brings a wealth of experience to this position at the national and international level as a distinguished diplomat, lawyer, manager and policymaker working across the sustainable development and environment policy agendas. "Among many important roles, Mohamed will be responsible for further advancing the UNEP Medium Term Strategy and related reform agenda, as well as strengthen UNEP's political and substantive input to the UN Conference on Sustainable Development 2012 and beyond," the statement said. From 2000 to 2006, Mohamed was the ambassador and permanent representative of Kenya to the UN in Geneva. Her many achievements included being the first woman to chair the General Council of the World Trade Organization, and the first African and first woman to be elected chair of the council for the International Organization for Migration. Since 2008, Mohamed has been the permanent secretary and chief executive officer of the Ministry of Justice, National Cohesion and Constitutional Affairs of the Republic of Kenya where her leadership played a key role in the political, legal and constitutional reform process. Born on Oct. 5, 1961, Mohamed graduated with a LLM in International Law from Kiev State University, and has also undertaken post graduate studies at University of Oxford and the Kenya School of Law. Good for Her! Congratulations Amina.......your doing us Somalis proud.
  20. Kenyan Somalis do believe they are under occupation! Just like my relatives that reside in NFD. You don't know what is in people's heart.......Regarding Djibouti,,,,,,They are still part of Greater Somalia in regards to all Somalis dream, but like I said before the huge Anfar Ethnic group in Djibouti is what stopped them joining Somalia in 1977. Yes Somalia will remain Somalia just like in 1960.....nothing to do with the war in South/Central Somalia nor does it got anything to do with future peace in those areas (You really sound inhumane) 'just the way it is today'???

I'm not talking about ethnicity!Nor was I talking about religion Regarding those Somali clans that live in Ethiopia and Kenya are under occupations and want to be part of Somalia.
