  3. i'm not planning to do anything. i mean, why should I? as far as i'm concerned there are 364 days which are more important. but those who see this day as significant, all the best with the celebration. its a shame it fallen on a friday, because its a public holiday here and i bet some people are happy.

  5. orphan of who che, you're so silly sometimes.
  6. i'm literally in shock and feeling pure unadulterated joy. the queen has finally awarded blacks for their contribution towards the Uk. I would have been on that honours list but all i have to look forward to now is the somaliland presidential medal of honour.
  7. final exams tomorrow. now its time to relax and enjoy the view....

Just recently, there was an article about the murder of two somali teenagers. Thats really messed up dee. I'm quite sure Malika is the stiff-upper lipped heroine - she portrays herself to be, failing that, the NHS is in complete shambles.

  11. the likes of sayid are illogical. they use loose and empty phrases they have no comprehension off. he is most certaintly somali-weyn and doesnt understand 'real politik'' and the realities on the ground. Sadly, sayid is not the exception but the norm among this nation of losers. if, we all, understand that the status quo is beneficial for all then we can at least some strides towards the betterment of our people.
  12. Sayid*Somal;730671 wrote: So, I'll ask my question once again - How can we in SOL achieve unity of purpose and common interest for the betterment of ourselves and our people where ever they might be?? sayid, you are calling for uniformity of opinions, instead we should encourage a pluralist model of thinking. all things considered, the 'somali peninsula is at a very dynamic point in its modern history. perhaps, the political upheaval was necessary. change is always good. but, it seems to me, that you're missing the point by all calling for a rigid form of unity. unity should be based on common shared interests not emotions. somalinimo is a myth and too often, too many people are consumed by such irrational ideas. we live in a world dominated by interest where the vestiges of tribalism and other backward beliefs no longer determine the power of play. I believe its time to put an end to this concept of greater Somalia, which is unreasonable and unrealistic and embrace the eventual and evitable fragmentation of the Somali peninsula. by embracing the self-determination of different regions in Somalia peninsula, we will expand the Somali language, culture and expand the notion of ‘somaliness’ across and into new frontier. this is key to development. already there more than 5 major centres of Somali commercial activity - dubai, eastleigh, hargeisa, mogdisho, bossaso, jigjiga. who knows what the future holds.
  13. ^i reckon she's from jubbada dhexe based on her physical appearance. her caramel skin eludes the beauty of the jubbadians.
  14. she is nice looking. i wonder if she's married? strikes me as a self-hating opportunist type riding on the whole ''somalia is war-torn'' malakay. whenever i see a successful somali woman, i'm very wary of them for some reason,.perhaps, I'm the one with the issues but i cant stand a Somali woman being successful - because all the ones I've encountered are either dating non-somalis or hate somalis....
  15. self-reflection is key in seeking change. london2012 is a somali indeed. this is forum, expect opinions which may differ from yours. the internet is a forum for self-expression somaha?
  16. the only thing silanyo has achieved thus far is this gimmick known as national cleaning day. it started off well but i haven't seen any cleaning recently. under his leadership the country is not secure, inflation is too high, his policy of granting contracts is based on nepotism, the bridge was started by the riyaale regime. all too often, politcal parties in SL have been too keen on self-determination and the elusive recognition diatribe, kulmiye should focus on achieving practical results and economic change. i've heard he has severe arthritis and president in name only. a group of his cronies, including the political incompetent hersi and the aviation minister practically run the country. his foreign policy is disastrous, his ministers have no deference towards him. his handling of the crises in the east was pathetic. all in all, a decent start but more delivery needed than silly western-styled gimmicks. kulmiye seem to practices the politics of personality, there appears to be no substances and tangible results achieved so far. silanyo is looking for a legacy, the position of president is too small for him and i wouldn't be surprised if he did something controversial udub is regrouping and we'll see how kulmiyes ambivalent policies towards political associations manifests...
  17. somalis in the west never cease to amaze. they are always blaming others for their sad state of affairs. quite pathetic, really.
  18. so tired.... i'm literally about to collapse. i need some energy. listenin to this song seems to be helping;
  19. broad based political support in all 6 regions is very difficult to muster.
  20. ^ exactly whats wrong with so-called leaders..... keep you're ears to the ground and listen to the people.... they just want peace, shelter and security. all else is peripheral.

  22. nuune;729712 wrote: ^^ lol Faheema , just waiting what he will say to you now, I don't think we can believe Alpha going to Seoul unless he shows us his ticket, with his forehead stamped on it. lol@nuune, you have no reason to suspect me of lying. I have never lied on this forum.... and anyway why would you find it hard to believe that i'll be going to Seoul.
