I bare little responsibility, have no wife, no children, contribute nothing to world peace. And suddenly you turn 29 and all your dreams are over. Then you start thinking about all the things in life that you haven't done yet. I still haven't traveled to Brazil... I still haven't published a book. why am I wasting my time? I'm almost thirty! What if I'm thirty and all my friends are married and I'm not?!" Maybe this doesn't happen to everyone, but it certainly happened to me. Arafat, you must be so disappointed you havent achieved worldpeace or visited brazil.
  2. come on conspiracy.... allow us the hyperbole.... there are people slipping through the system all the time. we must be tough on the illegal script and the causes of illegal e-migration
  3. i love when a sol goldie oldie comes out of hiding despite constantly uploading these boards once every 56 secs, comes here nostalgia-ing about their heydays and better lived days lol.
  4. lol@know your face!!! lol... thats just fantastic isnt it? you've made my day by your mere acknowledgement of my existence. adams, i haven't had a chance to listen to some conscious music recently since i've been hangin' with the fellow delegation members. its been interesting but i like i was saying this morning to a colleague of mine ''once you know the personality, you forget the position'', no where in the world would a young pretender like me have access to high profile figures like these.... but i guess somaliland is an exception to the rule... somaha. there is a huge diaspora based event on this Saturday.... i've already been invited to express my views but refused to be on the panel (very unlike me) but i suppose i don't want to peak too early, i mean being with the delegation is enough already, anything more will be just selfish, i reckon. now where are you? you're useless and probably unemployed while i rubber shoulders with ministers of high calibre. come to africa brother, like my friend (me) says 'in somaliland you're one in a million, but in the UK you're one of a million' in other words i'm a small fish in an even smaller pond looool. al.
  5. today we traveled to selfridges in oxford street and did a bit of shopping (pronounced shoo-h-ping in af-somali). lol
  6. After so many years working hard to achieve my political ambitions to get to the upper echelons of power, it seems as though my hard work has finally yielded great dividends, which i'm only too happy to share with my friends. it gives me an enormous sense of joy to share such privileged information and i'm extremely gratuitous, firstly of all to my family members in their continuous support and constructive criticism and those 'true' friends who supported me in my divinely ordained plans to come to fruition. i'm rubbing shoulders with ministers of this small great nation, indeed fulfilling my benevolent and contributory activities and its giving me amazing satisfaction. i wanted to tell you my friends much earlier but I couldn't at the time due to security concerns. we are now safe, perhaps, partly due to my amazing almost Hollywood-like-stunt-double actions lol. we are on the right path towards salvation and anything less with not be accepted, at least to me. our great meetings have been awersome and somaliland is using this opportunity to further consolidate itself among the first world nations of this world. I've been most impressed with the reception afforded to me by the 'diaspora' folks whose amazing generosity has been somewhat of a shock, having come to London as a delegation member, I've found this place to be very kind to me and people are treating me with respect for the first time in my life, which i personally feel has been much overdue and i'm beginning to grow a small fetish for this new found power. i will update you all ASAP and with my photojournalism-type pictures soon. Cheers, Al.
  7. Al - Africa, particularly africada dheexe and HOA and Somaliland. Archie - London Arafat in Holland Adam in Holland emmmmmmm.....its quite obvious isnt it. However I am convinced Carafat is the only script and being controlled by General Duke. The giveaway was revealed in our PM exchanges.
  8. lol@stoic, naga da aniguna dee sxb... my ex-bad boy multiscripts days are behind me, you know. not interested in all that anymore, you know. cheers.
  9. archie, naga da, dee brovz, you're being a mirqaan jabis with this drivel of yours. i'm more concerned about your dad bribing the somaliland police. well...thats shameful isnt it.
  10. archie, naga da saxib. chewing right now in my hotel room somewhere in africada dhexee. its a solo event i'm afraid today as i dont want the delegation i'm with to know, you know. as for NGONGE, well, i havent made a major opinion on him but i do think his legendary status needs more scrutiny. i will hack into his account very soon, oh wait, we use to share a script not too long ago when i was maximus. he thinks he's funny but i find his sense of humour to be skewed much like mine. i did find his joke about FGM and the coke advert very funny tho. he's got style and he reminds me of the famous English comedian huge dennis. like the famous somali adage . ''the habar who was caught in the act and blamed her flu on her lack of words, when caught in the act.
  11. NG, i think i will be your heir when you die next year.

  15. Kony is certainly an African and a leader of a cult. he therefore qualifies under the rules of this thread. arafat, please dont bring that western hyperbole of democracy and human rights mantra to my thread. do you remember in the mid to late 1990s of all the talk and buzzwords of 'new generation' and 'new breed' of african leaders. Museveni, Kagame , Zenawi Afewerki are now all discredited leaders. its pseudo-political brovs.
  16. well, cousin we monkey don't tolerate nonsense lol.
  17. lol. these four young SOLers are very important to SOL's survival. almost like the BRIC nations (of course Alpha representing China, arafat - Russia, Adam as India and Archie as Brazil). one day i hope we can be what NGONGE, AT&T, xinn and Odweweyne are to SOL. I expect to be here for eternity and I love this website. it allows me to get news and articles and to contribute. i was bored so dont read anything into this thread.

  19. Alpha's faith and firmed held convictions Alpha Blondy was born to a Muslim mother and a Christian father, and was brought up by a grandmother who taught him to love everyone. Alpha Blondy's respect for all religions and the spirituality he derives from them can be heard on the tracks “God is One” or “Jerusalem” where he sang for unity between all religions in 1986.

  21. Archie, your friend is a saqaajamad and a serial voyeur. why is she taking picture of people without asking for consent marka hore. secondly, these pictures make a mockery of the nomadic culture and its akin to ethnic tourism as practiced in places like kenya and tanzania. i bet you friend would think it suitable for that poor man to drop his stick and to make some 'ethnic dances' for her amusement. its astonishing how deprave people are with their meandering thoughts and ideas of what actually constitutes 'home', 'belonging and 'ethnic spaces'. archie, your thoughts and captions of the picture are interesting, not least because in order to feel some type of an 'affinty' you are 'othering' him yet you're using ethno-centric constructions informed by the white superstructure that uses dehumanising discourses. mate, see him as human worthy of respect and dignity and not some type of caricature that deserves to be labled with simple adjectives and made a mockery off. for goodness sake he is not happy there. he has to get up at 4am everyday and work those camels all day for a meager and fruitless life. why the romanticism saxib. this is creating a distortion of reality and to those relativist and post-modernist among 'us' lets get real - nomadic life is harsh and people should be encouraged to settle in urban areas.
  22. The time is currently 22:56PM EAT The date is 15/03/2012. not in london mate.
