  1. under no circumstances should mohamed and samsam be allowed to claim asylum. this is utterly shameful.
  2. ^ token somalis who i feel do not represent the common somali on the streets of the uk. we'll need to encourage more people to achieve higher in schools, employment and being law-abiding citizens. otherwise we'll become like the African-Caribbean and look to sports, music and entertainment as sources of successes.
  3. after tonight’s 200m final and night of power prayers, the two biggest events of the month; the OLYMPICS and Ramadan are virtually over! on Friday morning you'll probably get this feeling of anti-climax and strange disappointment lol. you know the type you get when you've wasted a precious moment and then get that quick realisation 'was that it?'. this morning i was listening to the radio and the sheikh was talking about the commercialisation of Eid. he was rather explicit in his concerns and was not shining away from expressing his thoughts on the matter. he said 'the last 10 days of ramadan are supposed to represent a time of reflection and a time of increasing good deeds but it seems like it's become a commercial bonanza and this shows the greed and moral corruption of 'our' nation'. he added 'we should punish those who seek to benefit from ramadan and turn it into a commercial extravaganza, a western idea transplanted wholly with the hope of corrupting the souls of our people.' he further added ‘those whose aim is to make a quick buck are indeed shameful and have developed a great capitalist facade with which to sell more goods in bulk' is eid becoming like christmas? empty and meaningless! Well I've felt like that in the past. And I’m sure you'll agree that when you haven’t fasted nor prayed like everyone else then you don’t deserve to celebrate in style, you know. i felt like that for the last two years but this year i can’t believe I’m almost there and so determined still, something has changed my luck and it’s good to be good again lol.

  5. with all due respect LST your definition sounds a little sordid lol. you see the term diaspora in 'this' context is far more than a simple definitional issue. its implies a particular set of standards, values and number of years aboard. we cant be grouped with a 35 year old 'brit' who tahribbed a few years ago with a basic command and a rather strange nondescript-nasal-sounding english dressed in mid 1990s FUBU attire. that's just pathetic. he/she is different to 'us' like we are different to the 'local'. there have to be demarcations like AT suggested and more discussions around this particular and indeed lively issue.
  6. Abtigiis;855558 wrote: Carafaat, speaking of Alpha, did you read my book titled "Unwelcome Blessing: Chronicles of Alpha's struggles in the month of Ramadan". it is a tale of a young man who thought he found his love after so many moons of searching, and was to meet his new-found lover in the last weeks of July. Unbeknown to him was that the month of Ramadan would start in the same week he hoped he will impress his lover with his good looks. Not used to hunger and thirst, his youthful body born and raised in the cold island of Albion soon started to give in to the harsh sun, nagging wind and dust of his homeland. Unable to postpone the first meeting with the lover, which is so crucial for both of them, after years of epistolary flirting, he vows not to damage her expectations of him. He still recalls the message he found on his twitter account the day the lover broke the news she is coming down to see him in person. "Can't wait to see your smooth ebony skin and soft face". It worries him that the false appearance of a hagard and dry face that is the result of unrelenting fasting could give the impression that he lied about his appearance. He does not wish to start this promising relationship with suspicions and wrong first impressions. But there is no escape. He could have angered his creator whom he knows he forgive him. He can fast some other time, and it is perfectly fine with the creator so long as the ledger in the sky shows that he has covered the 30 days he was expected to fast. That much he knows. But breaking fast in Hargeisa can put him in collusion with the law. The last thing he wants is his diaspora-frame draged by the neck in the sandy shrubs of Dooxa hargeisa by insensitive security personnel who enforce virtue and hunt mobile restuarants that offer food to those who find Ramadan harsh. At any rate, Alpha knows he will have to make a decision and soon. He will be in trouble with the law or with his lover. It is a stark choice. It is a pulsating tale of love, mandatory privation, and defiance. The 236 page book will be released late August at 'Final' Qat Saloon near 'Togdheer Diffidence' tea room. LOL@AT... as my ghost writer...i'm here to advise on technical aspects. how well you know me, my honourable friend.... i missed our meeting at De African Village having been spurred on by your heart-rending story. i visited my 'love' risking life and limb, knowing full well that i was one of most wanted on the ‘committees’ radar. so at around 9:30PM we met outside of DHL opposite the central Bank, a safe 'space' and a regular meeting point for diaspora kids from dibaada lol. i didn’t want to meet her where she requested because i was feeling nervous due to me looking like very diaspora and not so qurbo-joog. so, we met! she looked stunning walahi, looking like a ripe pomegranate fruit like those mentioned in suraatul insaan. i swear i must be the luckiest man alive. i love her dearly and i suspect she has the deepest hots for me. so we walked downtown in a setting akin to time-square NYC with big massive video screens and what-have-you. i struggled with being seen with a woman in public and her walking suggestively close to me didnt help. being a big man in this society, its not good for my public shaaraf to be endulging in what may be seen as 'diaspora-type' behaviour. i suggested we do some shopping to calm my nerves. we did. she eyed up some fancy looking goods, i quickly silenced her advances into my pockets with a mean stern look lol. finally after all that speculative shopping etc, I suggested that we grab a bite to eat since 'this is what couples do on dates do back 'home'' sarcastically, you see she's also from london. we went to the strategically located almis eatery being carefully not to stray into 'dangerous territories' beyond what my tribal DNA permits opposite dahabshiil bank HQ . i asked kindly if i could sit with my woman in the women section like in the movie goodfellas lol...and then were quickly taken to a especially designated area for couples....the store room would you believe!!!! we sat and i tried to play footsie with her. her legs and feet perfectly pedicured resisting my 'safaan-ed up' almost native legs. i wore sandels to appear less diaspora and more 'local' but there was no mistaking that my sandels were not made in india, thailand or whereever reer somaliland buy their clothes etc. we enjoyed our drinks - two cocktails and a burger for her and a single vegetarian samosa for me lol. i quipped some lewd inappropriate lame joke about the salad cream ....her reaction was innocent and double entendre free. then....a man came in and sat opposite our table. i said to her 'is this your maxram' lol. she laughed and proceeded to giving me a rather coy musing about the time her mother almost had her married off. i was aghast with shock nooh! i suggested we leave and like a true loyal women she didn’t refuse or attempt to undermine nor play some 'power dynamic game'. then i quickly called raxo taxi company and took her home... i was suspicious that she might have had another date so took her home. we exchanged good night messages and now i'm writing my version of events all loved up listening to maxwell lol.
  7. ^ there's no need for flat and dry sense of humour. i'm leaving this thread to troll elsewhere....i've said my piece on the issue. cheers.
  8. llol@adam zayla, you can’t be all things to all men/women. stop being a contortionist and for once STOP trying FORCE 'us' into your delusional and utopian worldview. the truth of the matter is that 'your' precious samsam disappointed an entire nation, a nation whose urgency for some semblance of success was entrusted in the hands of two pathetic little puppets. its not all about taking part, as it were; but rather fulfilling a national duty. i have no issues with samsam and YES you're right that she might have defeated me in the 400m heat, despite my rather promising athletics career being curtailed long before reaching the highest and indeed world class standard lol; but i'm not gloating here nor making samsam's shambolic and lacklustre performance into the stuff the Olympics are made off. samsam and her kind shouldn’t be representing 'somalia' at the highest level anywhere. similarly, 'somalia' has too often in the past sent delegates, representatives and others with questionable track record and off very poor calibre to the UN Nations assembly, ICAO meetings, forums, summits and conferences the world over. why are you glorifying samsam? she's symbolic nor worthy of any praise. she's a just a pawn in this quandary we find ourselves. she's unfortunately been used as a political tool.... and what can we say of her future before she falls in the oblivion that has swelled many a 'chancers' before her ...and what off sustainability and future performances at elite sport events....well. it’s too early to comment as she'll probably be married off to some camel herder in medina distinct of that unassuming hell-hole she hails from. what off using her 'earned' prestige to follow a UN Goodwill Ambassador for women and children role....well, ....the same man who sent her to the Olympic games will probably feel she's a threat to him and will ruin any chance she has/had.
  9. rotten tomtoes should thrown at her until she confesses to her disgraceful peformance. oba, great sense of humour there brov lol

  11. do you know what the negros call somali girls? cheap and clean!
  12. are you and her husband having an affair. i think you're the cause of these issues. how dare you treat your friend with such distain during these difficult times for her. you ought to be ashamed of yourself, encouraging such perverse behavior and then coming to post your pathetic stories.
  13. just as abdi bile was a somali champion and hero, mo farah has replicated that success for the first time in 25 years with an olympic GOLD. well done mo. we are proud. this is a great day for the somali speaking people of the world. could sports now play a pivotal role in establishing peace and a way forward from these difficult times? cheers.
  14. surely the greatest night in somaliland athletics federation history. mo farah should be awarded the presidential medal of honour.
  15. Che -Guevara;854389 wrote: ^Who are you to demand accountability? Seriously nigga its important to understand the depth and coverage of the 'somalia' olympic organising committe? do they represent outside interests i.e diaspora folk who appear once every 4 years and through well-crafted political spin present to us two pre-selected athletes who are to toe the line. how were mohamed and samsam sourced by the SOOC? this is a very important question che? why? becos are you telling me that SOOC failed to find good quality athletes all over their remit area? by remit, i mean, the area the IOC recognises as 'somalia'. similarly, we need to acknowledge that the IOC only requires as the least minimum requirement that two athletes (preferably a female and the occasional token male) to compete in the games! a third athletes in the somalia team i imagine cause considerable difficulty and more work load for the SOOC.
  16. Abtigiis;854384 wrote: War Che, war de somalia igama xigtid ninyahow. Particularly when both of us are from the same region! Yaad boodhka isugu qarinaysaa? As to the so-called athletes, they are a joke and I can't see any reason why I should respect these journeymen and women. With a bit of care and effort, somalia could have fielded better athletes. Pointing out that is not a crime! What has the Musambanis of Somalia did to earn my respect? Mo Farah is competing for Britain, a country I don't like; but I feel vicarious pride in his performance as a fellow Somali. But the skinny jokes from the south are a disgrace! It is good they represented the nation at the opening but there is nothing to be proud of about their performance. yes! AT&T, i agree 100% with you. these athletes have been let down by the 'Somalia' Olympic organising committee. its utterly shameful that more athletes were not sourced locally or for that matter in a more organic way. why were there only 2 athletes from 'somalia'? this is something i have been grappling with over the last two weeks! is that becos duran farah have been embezzling the allocated funds? we need answers and demand more scrutiny and accountability.
  17. ^ waar inaadeero, you cant show mercy to these people. they will think you're weak and will very soon take advantage. you have to whip them to exert control over them. no mercy must be shown to them at any given moment. they must be made aware of the causes and consequences of their actions. once you've instilled enough fear, compliance of fear and rigorous intimidation tactics then you'll be able to develop the most powerful deterrent (money) then you've succeeded in conquering their souls and take ownership of them.
  18. OMG, the maid has called in sick. its quite pathetic that she's now stretching her statutory sick days. No Iftar prepared and this is bad!
  19. mohamed on the way to the crucifix.
