i'm so disappointed i didnt have the chance to vote today walahi. absolutely gutted! the queue was long i couldn't stand out there in the sun and conditions i'm not used to. the mood was jovial and it seemed that the elections were free and fair. i would like to take this chance to commend somaliland on the successfully organised elections and coodee bixintooda. mashallah.

was off today. there are no cars travelling outside until 6pm tonight. i'm going to vote this afternoon for 315 Idris Haji Nuur. i don't want to take part in this make-believe Nomad of the year BS anymore. i thought i stood a chance but its looking unlikely.... at least in Somaliland there are real elections and stuff.

AT, this should have been a close race between me and you, with me pipping you to the post by 2.3%, which you inevitably accept. i don't know how you do it but you seem to win every elections (remember 2009 and how close it was between us). i mean you're nothing special despite what the post-menopausal women zealots who populate this site think of you. for goodness sakes you're no Des Lynam and more like a D-list mid-morning Portuguese talk-show host. you lack commitment, lack charisma, lack foresight and the lack political convictions and ideals that leaders are expected off. this was my year and this was the year for my destiny and it should have never happened like this walahi.

three things: 1. marka hore, let me take this opportunity to thank Nin-yaban for starting this timely thread that concides with the local authority elections here in somaliland. the list of candidates should've been drawn from a wider sample of people. having said that, i believe all those nominated for the final round of voting are worthy of being on the electoral poll. 2. the end date for the elections are a long way away and this will result in election fatigue LOL. i would kindly ask Nin-yaban to edit and make it a week at the very longest. 3. where are the international observers and how can we ensure the elections are fair and free?
