been hiding in the dark for the last 47mins. had some unwanted family guests turn-up uninvited and unexpectedly today. when i came back from town, my maid was very quick in mentioning 'they're here'. i took my shoes off, avoiding detection, and quickly went into my chill room. been here for 48mins. phone is switched off. this is madness. there's about 7 of them by the sounds of it! represented from mum and dad side of the family. walahi, the atmosphere is tense and i've just received a worrying text to indicate they're asking for me. arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrragh!

First time I cooked something on my own almost a decade ago the IAEA knocked down my door and took away my galactic suuqo, because they were afraid I would sell it to Iran to power their nuclear stations. I remember I put garlic, onions, ketchup, tuna, olives, some crazy Indian spices, pepper and mixed it all up in tomato sauce lol stick to being a man-feminist for the time being adams! waar anigu, i source from jama gunti market daily and make my own tomato sauce. i'm talking about real ingredients with real taste you can feel on your taste-buds! not Heinz or HP! Bluelicious;896342 wrote: That's something I wonder about too how men end up becoming better cooks then women? The best top chefs in the world are mostly men  men are just better at everything, in general and as a matter of fact! refer to the origins of species if don't believe me.....do you ever hear about neanderthal woman?LOL! which begs the question of when did men delegate social reproduction to women? perhaps men have been cooking all along and women just eat! watch those calories Blue! Got no passion for cooking gonna be honest about that. your poor cooking skills are not a bad reflection on you personally, blue. after all, men make better cooks. LOL -

Apophis;896330 wrote: You seem to know about it more than me so tell us the how. ugali, is not something i'm particularly fond of, let alone attempting to make. its so tasteless and basic. once my Kenyan colleague in our shared house kept insisting that he would make me ugali. i pretended to ignore his attempts, knowing fully well that this lump of tasteless flour, more appropriate to soviet-era gulags, would make me so sick. out of courtesy for our mutual friendship, i took him up on his offer. one word: DISGUSTING. he made vegetable stew ugali! AKHAS!!!, it had way too much salt in it and i can only assume his kenyan 'lets cut corners' attitude was to blame for not sourcing the best quality produce. i ate more ugali than you can shake a stick at. i was sick for the whole day, but of course didn't utter one negative word although i really wanted to...... -
