  1. it has to be merca caadeey. how i would love to visit that city one day and eat some local food on the beach.
  2. marka hore salaan sare oo qaali ah, salaan kadib sxbayaal, waxad ka jawaabtaan suaashan: what's the plural form of suaashan? LOL.....only kidding how many of you read this thread? if so, why doesn't anyone want to troll with me? i quite like this thread but i don't want to troll alone, you see!
  3. you're cold! you're the type to avoid ruunti. go on Apo......baal ii sheeg why people do put each other down? for once in your life be honest and don't skirt around the question with one line sentences.
  4. definitely Google Chrome mobile phones or no mobile phones
  5. ^ 1 in 1000 is like me saxib LOL..... i still possess and hold very close what i've been raised with - treat people like you'd like to be treated but WHY don't people reciprocate? WHY are people so inconsiderate?, WHY are people so negative? WHY do people take advantage of each other? WHY do people put each other down? WHY are people so fcked up? despite the arrogant-narcissistic-madman that is Alpha.....the real Alpha has built an excellent paradigm of virtue and is one of the last remaining good people of this mad world. i've been called patronising because i believe where others fail to, i see hope where it packed its bags and forsaken a long time ago, i see light where its dark - in other words, i'm as delusional and no different from the fake Alpha ...LOOOOL what is 'real' and what is 'fake' baal? these are the questions i grapple with on a daily basis. not least because my own values are shifting but rather because i've seen humanity at its worse.
  6. mate, i see the glass as half full in my everyday 'realities' of life but the glass has already run empty as far as my hope and optimism is concerned. i also think the two are different (you in the reality but also your inner self). its the people and their egos that really hurt me the most. its their petty nature and how small their view of the wider world is. we're as individuals a mere particle but collectively we're capable of so much more. societal based values have been lost in the harsh realities of life. the world is full of broken people and as a result their cynical nature has all but made them numb. i don't want to be like this. i want to be able to make a difference and i'm already doing that even if it doesn't generate media coverage. at the end of the day, we're only in control of our lives and those closest to us and nothing more. we should use what little gravitas that remains to benefit our own self individual interests. there is no point in playing the hero and getting screwed. be kind, give to charity, live by modest means, remain humble, never underestimate anyone, trust no one, keep family close and drinking plenty of water. have no expectations of anyone. rely only on yourself and give but only what's necessary to people. keep the rest for you because you don't know when you'll need that energy. also avoid the broken-cynical-sad-opinionated people of this world as they will sap your energy and drag you down with them. cheers.
  7. i'm NOT denying the validity of the report but we must be wry of the predisposed-bias-sentimentalist-voyeur type reporting of Ms. Laila Ali. some qurbo-joog single mother using her time in Mogisdishu to best effect.
  8. never heard of eedo-ilmo. somali culture and more importantly the linguistics of the somali language do not honour nor place any value on women. hence why once your eedo is married or rather married off, she's more or less excluded from playing an active role in her birth tribe. in fact, from a young age, the future eedo of her brother's kids are excluded from tribal meetings nor privy to tribal secrets. they're made to feel like an 'out-sider' - an intruder offering surplus to requirements type opinions. similarly, these opinions are neither considered worthy of value nor applicable in our seeflabood-male-dominated society, in other words, women are rendered as less important and indeed TOTALLY USELESS. eedo-ilmo is perhaps, the thinking of the neo-feminists in our midst, who've ceased the day, as it were in these times of turmoil and social strife. indeed, its time to restore some pride in the female form, wider female inclusiveness and accord them the recognition they deserve. kudo to eedo-ilmo and its usage in the somali language. we love somali women, value somali women and respect somali women. well done.
  9. since when was being from South Africa... Diaspora.......delusional ma istidh?
