Juje what is the update? Where are you non-stop feeds? Who is in? Who is out now? Tell me the disasterous Cirro/Maslax/Cumar trio is canned. waiting ...

Shariif needs to get out of the "ninkan annaagaa naqaan, waa nin wanaagsan" decision making bubble reminiscent of Yeey era politics, and embrace the bona fide approach to picking candidates based on actual qualifications. So far the latest names being circulated in media seemingly lack the capacity to bring any progressive change needed to take the nation out of its political misery. Same old, same old! Who is advising the good Sheikh? He needs to stop listening to the selfish lobbyists who are clearly misleading the good man.

I hope I cleared that for you. Mujaahid Suldaanka, walee waa lagu hayaa maanta. Whether this was a classic political faux pas or a Freudian slip indicative of deep subliminal doubts on the VP’s part, the political spectators outside of Somaliland are for the first time having a feast on that whole “Somaliland independence is fait accompli” argument. You are in many ways the quintessential Somaliland ambassador and we expect nothing but the best lines of defense from you.

Xiinoow, other than our resident insider Juje, the rest of us are getting feeds from butlers, house cleaners, lawn fixers, and barbers. It is probable the good Shariif is pulling a "John McCain" on us by leaking a candidate (Cirro in this case) that has no chance so as to overwhelm the mere spectators at the game with a dark horse pick ala Sarah Palin.

Originally posted by Juje: quote:Originally posted by HornAfrique: I am also doubly sure Libaax is as well not very pleased with your "info". Looool.. Never thought of that actually, care to tell how and why he is not pleased. I would have always thought LST to be in Galleydh or Xassan Abshir's camp, but Cirro. That is a surprise. Juje, Horn is very much aware that I am not a big fan of political patronage based on "father's accomplishments" (I questioned Ina Cabdirashiid's qualifications in other threads and Maslax is very obvious). These are the only two candidates left according to Juje's news from Shariif's butlers ( ) whom were overheard singing the two names while cooking goats meat for the good sheikh. Hence the disappointment good Horn alluded to. But I am sure sanity will prevail and Galaydh will come out. He has garnered a sizable lobbying base including Faroole of Puntland. Xasan Abshir has endorsed Galaydh from what I am hearing as well. We shall see.

Oodwayne, that I seemed revelled in the sense of camaraderie offered by the VP's comments regarding Somali unity was not an attempt to “bad-mouth” Somaliland. Xaasha Awoowe! Nor is my general interest on the issue a dilettante enthusiasm as far as Somaliland’s internal politics is concerned. Aside from your witty attempt to box me in the dreary world of political ‘neutrality” (noted ), is there anything on my post that is to be regarded as indelicate in the normal sense Mujaahid? PS: To those who didn't pay attention (NONGONE hates them), LST's support for Siilaanyo and Kulmiye goes back to 2003.. LST celebrated first, and was later disappointed when Riyaale did his magic.

^^Give us a hint Juje since you have been "palling around" with Shariif's office workers.

Shariif is back to Villa Somalia to name the Prime Minister. The tradition is to name the PM inside the country. Some of the guys with him according to some news sources are: 1. Ina Cirro 2. Ina Cabdirashiid How is that for another "PM" topic.

Let us change the subject and focus on what will happen if Shariif selects Maslax. What are your thoughts on that?

Gaddafi defends Somali pirates Daily Nation Addis Ababa, Thursday AU chairman Muammar Gaddafi has said that his priority will be to claim colonial compensation and to limit the power of Western nations The Libyan leader further said he believed that piracy was a way of counter defence against the greedy Western nations. Col Gaddafi expressed the sentiments Thursday morning when he paid his first day official visit to African Union head quarter in Addis Ababa. He addressed AU officials and staff. Col Gaddafi wore a colourful shirt decorated with Africa Union founding fathers portraits including Tanzanian Julius Nyerere, Ethiopian Haile Selassie, Kenyan Jomo Kenyatta, and Ghanaian Kwame Nkrumah. During the inaugural tour, Col Gaddafi revealed his plan for the next seasons, saying he doesn’t believe that Somalia piracy was a crime. “It is a response to greedy Western nations, who invade and exploit Somalia’s water resources illegally,’’ he said. “It is not a piracy, it is self defence. It is defending the Somalia children’s food,” Col Gaddafi argued. He pointed out that some countries, particularly Western nations, were penetrating into a Somalia’s sovereign water territory, against the international law . European, the US and China fleets are entering in the sovereign Somalia territory, because Africa doesn’t have strong and modern defence to push them back, Col Gaddafi said. Nowadays, Somalis are reacting for justice and trying to defend their country against the unfair exploitation of resources, but Western countries have labelled it as piracy, Gaddafi explained. The long-serving Libyan leader said he planned to convince other African leaders to claim compensation from colonial masters for their crimes and exploitation during the colonial era. He disclosed that Libya will this week be claiming quarter billion dollars per year for the next 20 years compensation from Italy. He said it was a time to ask Western world to pay for Africa’s past suffering and exploitation. Italian parliament has agreed to pay the money to Libya, he said Col Gaddafi has refused any invitation from Italy for official visit for the past 40 years as part of his protest and claim. During my term in AU, I will initiate an organised compensation claim for Africa and I will fight for a greater voice for Africa in the United Nations Security Council. “If they (Western nations) do not want to live with us fairly, it is our planet and they can go to other planet,” Gaddafi added.
