Anticipation is building in the run-up to presentations of the best-yet evidence for - or against - the existence of the Higgs boson. The famed particle is a missing link in current theories of physics, used to explain how everything gains its mass. Rumours have been swirling about the findings for weeks, ahead of the announcement on Tuesday afternoon. It is likely to yield only tantalising hints, as the teams do not have enough data to claim a formal discovery. However, most physicists concede that not finding the Higgs boson is as exciting a prospect as finding it in the place where existing theory predicts it should be. "If we wouldn't find it it would be even - in a way - more exciting, but you know, both ways, it's a win-win situation," said Stefan Soldner-Rembold, a particle physicist from the University of Manchester. "[if] we find it, we know this theory's complete, but there's still more things to look for. If we don't find it, we know there must be something else which we haven't understood yet ." - BBC

Nobody has any concrete proof of the existance of the Higgs boson (the hypothetical particle that explains why other particles possess mass). But there is some data on its way and we shall see what these scientiest come up with shortly.

Disgusting video. My prayers are for the parents. Nothing is more horrifying and chilling than to see your little girl turn out to be this way. Ilaahayoow ceebteenna inagoo dhan astur.

Mohamud Noor came in second with 26.5 percent of the vote. He captured 95 percent of the vote in the precinct that contains Riverside Plaza, which had the largest amount of voters in the district.* Mndaily.com 95% in the district dominated by Somalis. -

lool@nomad. (Knowmadd). Wonder how the kid came up with that. "Knowmadd was born in 1991 in Mississauga, ON. His parents were both first generation immigrants — his father coming from Somalia and his mother from Portugal. "

:D @ Abtigiis. Waar gobanimodoon, sowdinga caanaha iyo biyo isku qasay. If Abdiweli truly changed his mind and now supports this Kenyan led incursion, he is 100% wrong. I am against this incursion and see it as a continuation of the same failed bandage solutions. The fight against Al-shabaab was all supposed to be TFG-led initiative with Kenya in a secondary support role. It seems that Abdiweli may now be boxed in by the changing face of the conflict which clearly shows Kenya had overstepped its original agreement with the TFG. Shariif supported the same agreement, but has now changed his position after the world media characterized Kenya's move as an "invasion". The very fact that Shariif is NOT calling for Kenyan troops to leave the country underlines my point that the TFG leaders are engaged in verbal gymnastics with the media. It is all a silly mess.

Mogadishu: TFG shows a united front against Azania project:
Libaax-Sankataabte replied to General Duke's topic in Politics
Abdiweli and Shariif made it very clear. Thanks Duke. -
The PM never supported this invasion. Quoting silly newspapers doesn't mean much boys. Shariif, if what I am hearing is true and he doesn't change his mind, is taking a good stand against this aggression and the PM is on his side. Unilateral invasion should not be supported. The Kikuyo boys were not called in for help by the TFG. They just invaded on their own. This is the PM statement on the original agreement: "We agreed with our brothers Kenyan government in undertaking coordinated security and military operations spearheaded by TFG soldiers trained by Kenyan government. We welcome the support of the International Community in defeating Al-Shabaab and wish to emphasize the need to do this while respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Somalia" No spin. Take it at face value.

It makes perfect sense that a movie featuring Somalis would come to the Twin Cities looking for talent since so many of them live here. "Capt. Phillips," which tells the true story of an American freighter attacked by Somali pirates, will hold auditions for actors and non-actors from 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at Brian Coyle Center, 420 15th Av. S., Minneapolis. You don't need to make an appointment; just stop by with a non-returnable current photo. There is no fee to audition. Casting agents are most interested in black applicants who were born in Africa; men between the ages of 15-45, women between the ages of 20-30 and boys 7-10. No experience is necessary. The film, produced by the team behind "The Social Network," has snagged Tom Hanks for the title role. No, Mr. Hanks won't be at auditions, so leave your Wilson volleyballs at home. http://www.startribune.com/entertainment/blogs/132616393.html

Peter Foster of the Daily Telegraph wonders whether "three decades of headlong economic development has left nothing but a moral vacuum in its wake". http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/china/8830790/Chinese-toddler-run-over-twice-after-being-left-on-street.html XINHUANET.COM: "High moral standards were once triumphed as national pride in China where individuals known for selflessly helping others were adored by the public. But in recent years, the perception of a decline of morals has become a hot topic as profit and materialism are perceived to be affecting society's values.

In china, people have become robots. A toddler was run over by 2 vehicles and folks just walk by as she bleeds mercilessly and her crushed body lies stricken on the road. Caution: this is a horrific footage. http://youtu.be/dwhVUL-H46M" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen>

BBC - Somali diplomat at the United Nations told the BBC that if the reports were true it would be a violation of Somalia's sovereignty. The first secretary of Somalia's mission to the United Nations, Omar Jamal, said the reports of Kenyan soldiers crossing the border had not been officially confirmed but said he was afraid the involvement of Kenyans in Somalia could make the situation worse. "We understand the Kenyan concerns very well," he said. "However if any action is to be taken... the Somali government has to be on the same page, the Somali government has to be informed, the Somali government has to know exactly in many details what is going on, otherwise it will be a different story."
