Ceel Lahelay, Bohol district Sool Somaliland
Libaax-Sankataabte replied to Saalax's topic in General
Is this part of Sool area that is populated by Burco community? Where exactly is this town located? within Caynaba district of Sool? I don't think "Bohol district" exists. I could be mistaken. Edit: I see it now on the map. -
General Duke;792230 wrote: The Faroole admin has failed to deal with Galkacyu and Mudug in general and this will haunt him soon enough. I totally agree. Galkacyo is one of the biggest cash cows for the state of Puntland. The President has repeatedly sidestepped efforts to re-invest the city's tax revenue back into security projects, partly because of his belief that such move puts the whole Puntland admin at a financial difficulty. The President somehow thinks he can get by with whatever measures undertaken. Galkacyo is desperate for help and the local admin is struggling at best. The President needs to change his strategy. Inshallah kheyr.

lol@you all partying already. Oil exploration is a complex process and there is no gaurantee this new exploration at Dharoor will amount to anything "recoverable". I am a bid bearish on the Dharoor prospect to be honest. I think the Nugaal wells (the two identified wells around Garowe) would have been the better option for start. But I understand that is how Cadde's admin set things up in order to get the ball rolling for this project. The good news is that if the current Dharoor well proves to be a duster, the rig will be moved to Nugaal. It is a long process. Hadii Dharoor oil laga helo, reer Bari waxay ku faani doonaan "boowe annagu biyo kuma qubaysanee oil baan ku qubaysanaa".

Feb. 20 (Bloomberg) -- Scientists have taken a first early step toward escaping the limits of a technological principle called Moore's Law by creating a working transistor using a single phosphorus atom. The atom was etched into a silicon bed with "gates" to control electrical flow and metallic contacts to apply voltage, researchers reported in the journal Nature Nanotechnology. It is the first such device to be precisely positioned using a repeatable technology, they said, and may one day help ease the way toward creation of a so-called quantum computer that would be significantly smaller and faster than existing technology. Moore's law states that the number of transistors that can be placed on an integrated circuit doubles every 18 months to two years, and it's predicted to reach its limit with existing technology in 2020. Cutting the size of a transistor to a single atom may defeat that concept. "We really decided 10 years ago to start this program to try and make single-atom devices as fast as we could, and beat that law," said Michelle Simmons, director of ARC Center for Quantum Computation and Communication Technology at the University of New South Wales, Australia. "So here we are in 2012, and we've made a single-atom transistor roughly 8 to 10 years ahead of where the industry is going to be." Moore's Law is named for Gordon Moore, the co-founder of Santa Clara, California-based Intel Corp., the world's largest chipmaker. He first described the phenomenon in a 1965 report that was later cited by others with his name attached to it. Can You Be Fired for Your Genes? ADAM COHEN | @adamscohen | February 20, 2012 In 2010, Pamela Fink, an employee of a Connecticut energy company, made a new kind of discrimination claim: she charged that she had been fired because she carries genes that predispose her to cancer. Fink quickly became the public face for the cutting edge of civil rights: genetic discrimination. The Genetic Information Nondiscrimination Act, which was passed out of concern for just such cases in the wake of huge advances in genetics testing, took effect in late 2009. GINA, as it is known, makes it illegal for employers to fire or refuse to hire workers based on their “genetic information” — including genetic tests and family history of disease. GINA doesn’t just apply to employers: health-insurance companies can be sued for using genetic information to set rates or even just for investigating people’s genes. Mugdisho Clan Elders Reject Garowe Conference Proposals.

Awooweyaal, most of you are adults. Would you kindly debate one another without calling each other names. This is becoming a fruitless excercise for everyone involved. Please respect the rules of the website and avoid the personal insults. If you don't have the skills to debate others in a civil manner, then don't post anything at all. You are off no use to SOL. We don't have the time or resources to edit all the silly outbursts. Cayda hala joojiyo dhallinyaro. Cayi horaa loo yiri cid kaama celiso. LEAKED LONDON MEMO: Somalia is to be partitioned.
Libaax-Sankataabte replied to Mintid Farayar's topic in Politics
Sort of. The country will be "divided" into 2 areas. 1. Area controlled by new goverment 2. Area controlled by Alshabaab. PARTITION " Large swathes of Somalia could effectively be abandoned to the Islamic militant group al-Shabaab while the remainder of the country forges ahead with a new government," The Daily Telegraph has learnt. Couched in diplomatic language, the agreement would set the stage for de-facto partition of the country, with international support concentrated on “areas of stability” outside of al-Shabaab’s control . PIRACY Suspected pirates would face the courts in Seychelles and Mauritius and those convicted would be sent to prisons in the autonomous Somalian regions of Somaliland and Puntland. NEW GOVERMENT TFG would be replaced with a constituent assembly that draws up a constitution and oversees a caretaker government in the run-up to democratic elections, according to the document. However, a working paper for next’s week Lancaster House conference makes explicit the threat of excluding the al-Shabaab-run southern third of Somalia from this new government. Unless the constitution is agreed by August 2012, the Constitutional Assembly should then assume the legislative functions of government from the Transitional Federal Parliament, while the executive functions of government should pass from the TFG to an Interim Authority STRATEGY IN DEFEATING ALSHABAAB? Officials hope the conference will bolster efforts to lure Islamic groups that had been close to al-Shabaab into constitutional politics and reject the group, which last week announced it had “merged” with al-Qaeda. It could see pledges to increase aid to those areas that choose to reject the terror group SOURCE: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/africaandindianocean/somalia/9086599/Al-Shabaab-Militants-may-be-free-to-control-Somalias-south.html -

There are tons of little factories in the country as we speak. These factories are better run, better equipped and have a better chance of transforming the country if peace can be improved just a notch.

Gabal, good to see you again awoowe. Great stuff. The question I have is, what will the downstream affect be on the areas the floods used to support now that dams are being errected? Will there be other villages that will suffer as a result of Khadijo Haji's gains? -

It is a great day for Puntland. Fiqikhayre, was the well site information kept secret before? I mean this is the first time I am seeing such detailed layout of the rig itself and the discharge basin.
