Hard to make it work in a country full of cheaters and free-loaders, but a great step in the right direction nonetheless. Mr Beyle is trying his best to bring back the country.

Congrats Ismael. Somali government needs to revive the old SIDAM academy so that we can move away from mediocre "for profit" schools.

Galbeedi is the most effective commentator when it comes to getting his message across. When he speaks, SOLers pay attention and I am one of them. It is beneath the dignity of the respected SOLers above to keep calling him names. Galbeedi has a lot of influences back home. Aggravating Galbeedi and assassinating his character is not going to help Somaliland's cause any better. The Somaliland supporters on SOL don't know how to win even small battles. Such a pity!!

Suldaanka, Galbeedi is a good example. As for Coldoon, I think it was very low of him to condemn a young girl facing the tyranny of jail. Instead of peacefully asking for her release, the big man chose to help himself at her expense. It is kind of pathetic. Hadaad dhimanyso dhareerka walayska duwaa. I am a proponent of allowing people to speak as long as they are not advocating for violence. Somaliland can't call itself a democracy and then jail own citizens for having a personal opinion.

Suldaanka has a point. The issue of Kenya's wall is very serious and like Che said, it is upto the Somali people to keep it alive and campaign to get the result we want. Kenya doesn't have the right to build a wall in disputed NFD period, the same way Ethiopia doesn't have the right to build a wall along our border.

Madoobe has been a disaster for Jubaland. He did nothing since he defeated Al-shabab. I didn't expect much since he was a warlord-turned-politician. Jubaland would be better off it was led by a visionary leader.

I heard from relatives that Coldoon became jealous of the girl who stole his thunder in the Somali unity theatre. Not only is she more eloquent, she is fearless and unwavering in her political convictions. A few days ago he hinted that he may be battling with inner thoughts and self-halgan (kind of depressing). I assume the threat of prison and personal harassment finally had its toll on the man. I think he is finished as an icon for Somali unity. You don't say those things and get an easy pass from the unionists.

There are no friends. Every country has its own interest. Some will go to great length to protect it. How dumb do the authorities running the building have to be to not discover "microphones" under desks?

Rwandan President Paul Kagame speaks about "Flagship Reforms for a More Effective African Union," at the Brookings Institution in Washington, U.S., September 21, 2017. REUTERS/Joshua Roberts China and the African Union dismissed on Monday a report in French newspaper Le Monde that Beijing had bugged the regional bloc’s headquarters in the Ethiopian capital. An article published Friday in Le Monde, quoting anonymous AU sources, reported that data from computers in the Chinese-built building had been transferred nightly to Chinese servers for five years. After the massive hack was discovered a year ago, the building’s IT system including servers was changed, according to Le Monde. During a sweep for bugs after the discovery, microphones hidden in desks and the walls were also detected and removed, the newspaper reported. The $200 million headquarters was fully funded and built by China and opened to great fanfare in 2012. It was seen as a symbol of Beijing’s thrust for influence in Africa, and access to the continent’s natural resources. As in the Ethiopian capital, China’s investments in road and rail infrastructure are highly visible across the continent. At a 2015 summit in South Africa, Chinese President Xi Jinping pledged $60 billion in aid and investment to the continent, saying it would continue to build roads, railways and ports. Chinese and African officials gathered in Addis Ababa for the bloc’s annual summit both denied Le Monde’s report. China’s ambassador to the AU, Kuang Weilin, called the article “ridiculous and preposterous” and said its publication was intended to put pressure on relations between Beijing and the continent. “China-Africa relations have brought about benefits and a lot of opportunities. Africans are happy with it. Others are not.” Asked who, he said: “People in the West. They are not used to it and they are simply not comfortable with this.” Asked about the report, Rwandan President Paul Kagame, who assumed the African Union chairmanship this year, said he did not know anything about it. “But, in any case, I don’t think there is anything done here that we would not like people to know,” he told reporters after a meeting of African heads of state. “I don’t think spying is the speciality of the Chinese. We have spies all over the place in this world,” Kagame said. “But I will not have been worried about being spied on in this building.” His only concern, he said, was that the AU should have built its own headquarters, instead of China. “I would only have wished that in Africa we had got our act together earlier on. We should have been able to build our own building.” Source: Reuters

Once renewables like solar are utilized more in the next 5 to 10 years, Mogadishu will become a lot brighter.

OO, this is a good development. The region doesn't need a new upheaval. If these regional power can work their difference out, it is good for all Somalis across the Horn. -
I understand that. What I meant is that these clans have strong presence in Somali Galbeed as well as Hargeisa.

Tukaraq unity among Somaliland soldiers turns into a clan mistrust.

Suldaanka, gabadha waa la xumeeyey saxib. Leave her alone. No one should be physically assaulted for "saying things" about a politician. This is America. She is very upset with Galaydh and his clique. Here is her facebook (I think) https://www.facebook.com/umi.nawaal

He is trying to start the same process our families went through. I know it takes time and effort but at least he is pursuing his dreams and want to build a better life for him and his family.
-
Suldaanka, Camey is a hardliner with Buuhoodle attitude, not willing any compromise over Tukaraq. Abdiweli is more pragmatic and doesn't want bloodshed. That is the latest story.
-
She keeps saying her family is from "Somali Galbeed". I am assuming she is referring to Oodweyne's clan or Awdal clan.
-
I like this video of hers. She is funny.

I don't blame the man.

The fighters occupying Tukaraq are 100% from LA. The clans in the area don't want confrontation between Puntland and the boys who captured Tukaraq. In a way, these fighters are stuck and are looking for the slightest excuse to leave Tukaraq peacefully and go back to bases in Lasanod. Any irresponsible comment from the likes of Waraabe would be godsend for them to retain respect and leave Tukaraq peacefully.

Somaliland must release Af-Barwaaqo. She is just a poet.
