  1. If this has something to do with the old tradition of arranged marriage processes, I can understand why you have to be patient. Perhaps that it is about, patience. A quality that is best found in the best of us. That is, if your family have proposed the idea of marrying him in the first place and you value the decision of your parents a lot. Forget what all those who say what they say (because they really can't know anything else to say, due to their constrained states of mind).Follow the path that is important to you and those whom you value most, your parents. If it is not what I said above and there are other circumstances, then, consider those circusmtances by yourself. Asking SOLers for suggestions of what to do is really (in a nutshell) a hopeless waste of time. Like I said, be patient with yourself first, whether you wait or not. Then decide. By yourself.
  2. That's what Yunifaarsal Tiifii says. From Manchester to Acton and other places.... Kudos to those who won!
  3. The only downside of talking to yourself is when you stitch up some hardly comprehendable thoughts (meant only for you) and say them loud while in the middle of talking to someone else, about, say, latest fashion trends, which you have no idea what is about. Or fall silent in the middle of conversations with others as you astray with your own internal conversation. Or laugh out loud while someone worldly is complaining to you about the world's problems. That can be offensive to some. Honestly, I rejoice at being in touch with the pure awareness that is my existance. That experience alone is more richer than anything else to be talked about or gained. I guess even when I talk to others I am simply talking to myself. I can relate to some folks that they literally become just another part of me. Equally I listen just as much, which is even more fascinating. Talking to the Self is infact healthy. Take it from me.
  4. Kaw! Waar maxaad isku haystaan? Naw! Mise qadhaadhkii baa idin yara gaadhayoo waad marqaansantihiin? "Waan mirqaamay micnaheedu waad taqaan" ayuu taa ka yiri Cabdi Haybe. Lol. I once preached a man chewing under a tree; I was with a persuasive group of no-backing-down Tabliiqiis. The man got vexed, looked up and spoke so elequence in defence that we had to walk off laughing. Wuxuu yiri: war sheekhoow qaadkani qaraj baa igaga jira, daadi oo iska daa ayaadna i leedahay. Hadaba taa waa karaahiyo ka tag oo israaf u gal. Yeelina maayo ee iska qulqula. Lol.
  5. ITS'S A FCKED UP WORLD. REALLY! ------------ A grandmother has shocked her friends and family after revealing she is having a baby with her own grandson. Skip related content Related photos / videos Granny, 72, Having A Baby With Her Grandson Enlarge photo . Pearl Carter, 72, says she has never been happier after beginning an incestuous relationship with her 26-year-old grandchild Phil Bailey. The pensioner, from Indiana, US, is using her pension to pay a surrogate mother so they can have a child, reports New Zealand's New Idea magazine. She said: "I'm not interested in anyone else's opinion. I am in love with Phil and he's in love with me. "Soon I'll be holding my son or daughter in my arms and Phil will be the proud dad." Her lover is the son of Pearl's daughter Lynette Bailey - who she put up for adoption when she was 18-years-old. When his mother passed away, Phil tracked down his long lost grandmother and they quickly fell in love. Pearl told New Idea magazine: "From the first moment that I saw him, I knew we would never have a grandmother-grandson relationship. "For the first time in years I felt sexually alive." It was during their second week together, after dinner and wine, that Pearl made her move. "I called Phil into my bedroom, sat him on the bed, and then I leant over and kissed him," she added. "I expected rejection but instead he kissed me back." Phil revealed: "I wanted to kiss her there and then. My feelings were overwhelming. "I love Pearl with all my heart. I've always been attracted to older women and I think Pearl is gorgeous. Now I'm going to be a dad and I can't wait. "Yes, we get laughed at and bullied when we go out and kiss in public but we don't care. You can't help who you fall for." The pair paid $54,000 (£35,000) to find a surrogate mother and buy a donor egg to inseminate with Phil's sperm. They placed an advert asking for an open-minded surrogate, and Roxanne Campbell applied. "Initially I was shocked," says Roxanne, 30. "But they're a brilliant pair and I saw how much they loved each other. I know the baby will be loved too." Pearl said: "I am finally going to be a mum and not forced to give up my child. Phil's going to be a great dad. "I never in a million years thought at 72 I'd be 'pregnant' and in love with my grandson. "I make no apologies and I believe God's given me a second chance." http://uk.news.yahoo.com/5/20100430/tod-granny-72-having-a-baby-with-her-gra-870a197.html?printer=1
  6. "I saw quite a few young men there with old, white women. I began to question my morality. What are you doing with this old woman? She could be your mom. You've become a gigolo, someone who doesn't have ambition, someone who is ready to do anything for money,” he said. When she left, Pape said he felt only relief. "I'm not attracted to her,” he said. “I tried to avoid sex but she insisted. She complained. She says she loves me. She has helped me a lot, so now I feel like I have to give her something." "We fight. I tell her I can't continue like this. She offers me money. She knows she can keep me,” he said. "That memory comes back to me often lately," he said, stamping out one cigarette and lighting up another. "Once I find a good job, I will get my dignity back. But for now, I'm a prostitute." BTW she's his 52 year old girlfriend.

  8. ^ I think you need to be sectioned mate.
  9. ^I am kinda eagle eyed for spicy little nuggets dee. But this time I swear my eye fell on it.
  10. So does Shakur plan to remarry? ‘Any woman who wants to marry must learn enough about the man before getting hooked up. This is Europe and there is plenty of time. She can go out with him and give it a try. She can even ‘tempt him unlawfully’. ‘Women should avoid marrying men for money and looks. What is important is his intelligence and his behaviour in the family,’ she says. ‘As to whether I will marry again…no comment! But of course I need a man.’ Oh yeah? I like it, I like it. Now that's 'real' progress.
  11. Lol@already wuu jejebnaa. No, he wasn't that bad. He was only trailing behind in the poll and actually (on substance) heaving up the foot-hills of popularity in the debating contest. For something more spectacular to happen, I shall open up my impluasible miracles kitaab-gaab and hope Comeron suddenly metamorphosizes into a Llama with a prominent cleft - or something like that. But no. The old lady was the last nail on his stutter-dead body coffin.
  12. Maxaatiri, you wish to section me to be 'this' or 'that'? Meaning, 'normal' or 'crazy'? Ofcourse, you can. Whatever you think you can do is what you think you can do, but that isn't something that can be done to 'I'. Because I am neither this nor that but simply the supreme reality of I AM. What can a 'personality' expounded by the self-deceiving mind do to a pure witness, linked to pure awareness like 'I'. I am beyond, my friend.
  13. ^He should have let it what come may. The going back to her house and watching the video of his reaction to the radion broadcast had me genuinely cringe. On his behalf that is. There is nothing worse than an old man caught with his pants down. The woman was evil, sent to destroy Gordon 'Flash' so to speak. Maybe she is an alien spy? Weey ka jejebisay odeyga.
  14. How unfortunate for Brown... damn. What a way to lose an election.
  15. I lived a million times before and died a million times before. What is death to me that I must concern myself with it? And life, of what significance is it? If you can behold the parmanent in the fleeting, my friend, you'll have no concern with living or dieing. I only became alive when I died, and died when I was born. This here and now is my own creation, for I am, therefore, you are. If I am not then you will not. All is percievable and concievable. Death is but a flick of a switch...actually it's pain is the epitome of pleasure.
  16. ^'in a bit'...that's the spirit, ailamos. Malika, lol. Of course Edward Young's quote is fitting for the subject, but judging from that quote of his, he comes across as some stuck-up overlord who approves of ensalvement for the maintenance of his privilages. But for us (those who lean toward Marxism) approve of Bertrand Russell's In Praise of Idleness, and we shall give the idlers an ample to do what they do best. I think their idleness can reduce global green house emissions. At least that's what the modern primitivists seem to claim as the solution to all problems. They even suggest living like the Khoisans of the Kalahari could be the happiest kind of living. Tempted? grasshopper, yes yes, you can sign up, but tomorrow. I'll give you their details tomorrow, IA.

  18. ^JB, Western culture might be advanced in some way, with some positive aspects, but it's negatives includes driving one to morally repugnant and gluttonously indulgent. Karl, Arab culture equally has some positives and negatives, and its biggest risk to Somaliness comes from the curse of Arabic language's phonetic adaptation subsuming cultural similarity and familiarity, coupled with Arabic being the all important medium of religiosity, that leads to the un-guarded erosion of 'periphery' cultures like ours. We copy lifestyles from the West, but we copy everything - from names to greetings - from Arab culture, because we are more familiar with it. For me, women's clothes and lifestyle choices are not a matter of much concern; it's the lack of literary resistance to the dominance of Arabic that worries me a lot. Fahamt, akhi?
  19. According to the latest YouGov opinion poll - or I should say 'voting intention'- Lib-dems are on 33% which means the Tories' points flactuated to a -3%. Labour is, of course, trailing. But the interesting thing is that is there are reports that GD has proposed a new power-sharing plan alongside Clegg in post-election government formation. Senior Lib-dem commentators predict that Clegg is likely going to settle for GD's proposal. The other important groups which the Labour party is eying are the SNP and the Welsh Plaid Cymru, these two parties were traditional labour allies. Whatever happens, as I said before, we will likely end up with a Lib-Labd government with Tories marganilised. I feel sorry for the pretender, Cameron. His phoney postures have only proved to be his downfall. PS: The IMF has launched a report on global bank tax at the behest of Gordon Brown. That is a boost for GD, attesting to his concrete know-how and leadership in both national and global economic recovery. And most Britishers know that only he (or if not - Li-dem's Sir Ming) could do the job of ensuring the economy fully recovers. Imigration would really fade into insignificance; it's the jobs the matter most. Too bad for Cameron and his 'haves' empowering campaign - though the 'haves' are indeed pumbing loads of cash into his campaign, that is, to the tune of over #1,400,000 as of now, whereas Labour got half of that and the Lib-Dems? Just #20,000. What a constrast! That donation record alone only works to the benefit of Clegg as he is trying to build his image as an outsider. Good for him.
  20. ^I guess I did call her fat in a way. Fat is amaan for the old timers like me. But reading what I wrote again, I think I called her beautiful. Will you feel insulted if you got called 'beautiful', Jacphar? Not that I am calling you that. Hell no.
  21. “It was shortly after 1am when the gunmen raided our town, they have attacked several places, including Ali-arif and Abdi-adoon hotels,” a witness told us on phone from Liboi Town. ---- Oh no. This is bad news for reer Libooye. It's going back to the bad old days when they use to endure nightly raids. In 2007 I spent 3 nights in Ali Arif's lodging and I actually slept under the stars because of the good level of security. I know Ali Arif in person - a friend of my old man (AUN). In fact I really loved my visit to Libooye and I am actually thinking of going back there next year to renovate some houses the family owned there. Now with Al-Shabaab in Dhoobleey, it's forget about both places. Al-Shabaab is bad news. Horta nimanku do they have anything against building/renovating mosques in that area? And the school and madrassa? I'm sure the madrassa would be forced to teach their agenda. What's their policy on that, Maaddeey?
