The intentions of this article are crystal clear, it’s just a naïve attempt to inflame hatred among the peacefully coexisting people of s/land. Foolishly this writer underestimates the bond b/w the hargeisawis and the awdalian communities. There centuries long intermarriage is so extensive that you don’t need to look very far, the ANN editor Bashir Goth* and the two samatar brothers** who are hailed from awdal are of hargeysawi maternal side and many more. On the other side all it takes is to pay a quick visit to Gabiley (a town just outside Hargeisa) to see the miracles of intermarriage in action. As for the looting of Hargeisa, it was the responsibility of the then Somali National Army who were from all parts of former Somalia. Logically one can make a rough estimate as to the numbers of the participating soldiers from awdal which was miniscule by all scales, mind you that some of those looters where of hargeisawi origin who collaborated with Afweyne. I reckon if this Faarax gives it a serious thought after seeing the outpouring condemnations of his unwarranted crap which is based on gossip rather then solid facts, he will retract these baseless accusation and sweeping generalisations. The only reason I responded to farax or faraax is to let others know that the majority of hargeisawis and s/landers for that matter do disagree with this guy. Isn’t Farah a woman's name? * ANN = ironically it’s the exact website that Farah posted his venomous article on. Samatr Brothers = University lecturers in America.

^^^Typical Somalis, always late with the good news, does anyone know how can I down grade my marital status in to "fataxeen" thang? ..Seriously though I have never heard of anything called fataxeen or any difference b/w the engagement "meher" & aroos apart from the booty shaking festive.. hibo I 100% agree with u,the woman section has to become a no go zone for all the single brothers, as for the occupied ones like myself we won’t do much harm....trust us we already know wat u might be hiding .
-
Phanta sis, I only know of one kind of engagement. The settling down issue (i.e. moving 2gether) is different and is down to those two who got married, whether they are ready or not. As to my tune, am not really aware of any inconsistencies. (U might be kind enough to point them out) By the way this is my fiftieth post, do u by any chance know wat difference it might make?

Read for yourself before you blame me: http://www.saaxil.net/warar/fa.htm Damn there is no way am gonne read dat article...do u want me to loose my eye sight; it would have been much easier if u had used copy & paste. On a serious note brother, if he is hating on our brothers in puntland than that is a view I don't agree with and it’s totally wrong, however the interview I presented in this thread is entirely clean of such venom. When u also say Faisal is the filthiest Somali politician then it's again simply s/thing we don't agree on. [/QOUTE] In the above post I was referring to the radio interview. If wat u said about him is true then u were right in criticising him, nevertheless his interview was of good quality and has been conducted in a very professional manner. Against all the adversity I would still probably recommend you listen to it a couple more times .

My point still stands, gf & bf is an acceptable in both religious and culture terms apart from a little brief and clean relationship when laying the foundations for along term commitment as hibo already mentioned. I thought i was up for a nasty surprise from u but u went all that length just to proof i don't have a gf...yes u are right my son. Ever heard of something called engagement. It’s a holy union where uget unlimited access to some of the pleasures without much cost…..and for the time being stop bombarding me with all these detective q’s  because I have to cook 4myself now.(see marriage and engagement are never the same )

.......indhaadagaa, yes it happened a couple of times especailly when i was 14-19 yrs...but times and ppl do change brother .

I still believe that Faisal can convince each and every single one of you, just keep listening to him once if not twice if not three times and so on and so forth....... Wind Out of all the other three nomads u are the only one who is talking of qabyaalad and bad mouthing s/one else as a last resort .

^^^I aint paranoid and in all honesty I don't know wat brought me to this thread in the first place...i guess i was just looking to pick on s/one. The gf and bf phenomenon is very wide spread among our ppl and not only they chat but the romance package is fully served in some unfortunate cases (especially in the west). I guess ama leave there this is a girly talk and actually the whole woman section needs some restrictions(only woman sign).....me thinks
-
najma my question still stands because as some of the girls already mentioned they luv to have their bf's very close especially in their holidays………….Pink by sending us to the Islamic section u are committing a crime, u are discriminating against a particular group of ppl who don’t share ur values, so come on gal and sop the discrimination. (this is wat me & u as blacks have been fighting against all along )
-
I just wanted to ask pink and for that matter all the girls who approve of having boy-friends some relevant questions. Obviously for someone who claims to be a good muslim, the whole idea of having a boy-friend contradicts with their religion. Could a good muslim pray and at the same time have a boy friend? do these two commitments go hand in hand? or perhaps there is a compromise in one's Iman? What ever ur answers might be I think it’s a very shallow thing to do? P.S And it’s very irritating coming back in here and not finding wat u posted a minute ago (obviously without breaking any rules) ...............

The only conceivable theory out of all these laughable theories is ngonge's Bangladeshi theory, they even wear macaawis, dirac, the go'a shaalka and least but not last "Dacas" which are all used by somalis.

This is a very top quality interview b/w waraabe and radio free Somalia, Faisal is using some very clever tactics in explaining the reasons behind the existence of S/land and likewise with some mature audience who asked clever Q’s in turn. Personally I used to think of Faisal as a very volatile politician but I guess it's time to change my opinion. Is it just me or this is a transformed politician?!! When listening Fast-forward to 13:25. http://www.radiofreesomalia.com/audio/gudoomiyaha_xisbiga_ucid_F_waraabe.ram

There is also another little abdi (xuxu) in Cardiff whom I know very well and he is with Blackburn juniors at the moment. He joined us for a match one time and he was terrific. It looks like the U.K somalis won't be the unknown minority anymore. *Blackburn is a prominent British football club.*

Walaahi I felt very very sad for that little kid , this picture was just too much …..it’s a strong indication of human sufferings that we take for granted. The whole point of taking such pictures is the striking message that it carries and the lessons to be learned, so next time when u see charities collecting aid you should contribute especially to those who help children (coz of their innocence and vulnerability). This photgrapher was a non-muslim therefore Islamic rules are irrelevant to his suicidal death, besides who cares about ethnicity or religion backgrounds when you are faced with such scenarios after all there was a lady that went to hell because she didn’t give water to her DOG who died of dehydration.
