  3. ^Yasmina is half-bred (50% Iranian/Brit). I think the robotic white young lady is going to take it. End of day, this is just a game show. The so-called 6 figure salary post is not what these people are looking for. Most of them are fame-hungry so and so. Though Yasmina has some potential, the plonker, that is Lord Sugar, is doubting her motive as she runs a biz she partially owns.
  4. Maasha Allah, Valanteenah, you're pretty much very close. You've mentioned two of the three. Hopefully, it was all from the heart. The answer is (in the order that these countries are least populated): 1. Mangolia (vast country, and the fact is, there aren't even that many roads for vehicles so cars usually go over the grass) 2. Namibia (I wouldn't have thought, but she comes 2nd) 3. Australia (No surprises there. Vast continent with only about 18 - 20 mn people)
  5. Allah loves to be worshipped through 'ilm (knowledge). Therefore, doubting your faith/deen, if one is positive, will hopefully lead to good conclusion. It's good to question, but watch it, 'cuz if you take it too far, it is NOT recommended. Qalbi Dhagax (nin iyo magacii waa is leeyihiin), be sincere in your soul-searching...
  6. To distract us from the daily bad news of Somali politics threads which tops the list of threads every day and keep the mind fresh, I thought of this: Rules: 1. Don't google the answer, keep the answer spontaneous. 2. You are free to look up books for the answer. 2. The originator of the question must answer or correct the correct entries after about 10 answers. I will start: Q: Which are the three least dense (population-wise) countries in the world? Keep the ball rolling....
  7. Anyone that claims 'qabiil' doesn't affect our lives as somalis one way or another is bs-itting self. It's a beautiful thing to see Soomaaliya oo qabiil ka maran, but we have a long way to go. Said that, it's really sad to see the young ones so driven by the formulae for our destruction as a nation. Qabiil waa qurun.
  8. The point seems to be lost on all of you. It is not about the parties engaged in war, but peace for Somalia and Somalis. And the fact is, the only way that that peace can be realised is through justice and fairness. All the hope that many Somalis had on Sh Sharif has now evaporated. He could have pursued peace negotiations, no matter what. In my opinion, he and his admin have not done enough, and if I was to advise, I would advise him to quit. Waranle, btw, makes alot of sense.
  9. Maasha Allah, the sheikh is back. Welcome back. I've not seen you around a while. Always a good read, sheikh.
  10. I would love to, but I don't know. I really do wanna go away this summer.
  11. Good news. But I think we need teachers in Somalia. Teachers, teachers and teachers...

    Senior

I gotta get meself a 'senior' status, be part of the in-group, innit?
  13. ^What do you expect from the Premiership. It's all about winning and bloody high balls, plus muscle. Like you said, no xarakah, no xikmah.
  14. Sorry, did I mention that there is another United - a breakaway side called FC United. I think they might have a better chance than this lot now. So, reer Man U, bus-ku inta aanu idinka tegin, dabada qabsadha, hee.
  15. Barca on the other hand, is definitely more than a club. This club pays money to charity (Unicef) and have their name on their shirts. Come on. Barca is entirely owned by its supporters and they decide pretty much everything that the club does. When talking about how Premiership teams are run, Barca President said, 'the English supporters have now become customers, rather than supporters' and that is how things have gone wrong here. If the team's performance is filling up the deep pockets of its owners, it is fine. If not, it is up for sale and God knows what else. Btw, Man U are £700m in debt. And have paid £69m on interest alone last year on their debt. How long before they become another Leeds?
  16. Apart from the League cup and the Carling cup, I don't see anything else here. The so-called Club World Championship is a mockery. And beating teams from Japan, weak Latin American teams and Al-Ahli doesn't make you the best team in the world. Let's get Barca, Milan, R Madrid, the heavyweights in there and see if United do become the Club World Champion.
  17. I didn't gloat enough of the demise of the so-called 'great' Man U, so let me......ahhhhhhhh! They've been taught a lesson in every way. From ethos to how the game should be played. Hahahah! Now, before the Champions League there was a European cup, and it was pretty much the same, but only the name has been changed. So anyone who won it 3 or 4 times before has the record. It is like Eufa cup to Europa league. Part and parcel of the same thing.
  18. please tell me what kind of life can you provide for yourself being "street smart"? Or for that matter, I am sure one day you hope to have children, how do you plan to raise your children in this country being "street smart"? Walaalo, I am assuming that he's talking about 'emotional competencies' (self-awareness, self-mgmt, social-awareness, relationship mgmt, etc) rather than just being plain 'street smart'. Those abilities. Success is not only attained from conventional schooling. There are other ways, you know (reminds me that Natwest ad, lol! UK-ers would know). To me, education is the key to life...We have a great education system here in Canada, lakiin markaan arko twenty something year old working at the airport/factory/ware house/etc. with little or no ambition at all to make his/her life go further in life, ciil iyo caro iyo disappointment of the future of our people baa i qabato... A job is a job, no matter what. And do not judge the person that does it. See it for what it is.
  19. next time keep it glued to the floor it will save you from more shocking incidents Markaa dee kaalayoo adigu gacanta i qabo, dee. Joking, it was more of a one glance of my visual peripheral than roaming eyes, but I would take your 'talo'. OMG Abdullah have you actually seen that? Too funny! But nothing beats walking down the street and seeing a Somali couple in love. It kinda makes me feel all mushy...like "awww that's sooo sweet"! Somali coupleska jidka markay maraayaan in la soo garaacay baa la moodaa. Dadkan waaba dad is jecel, iska deey nooh aboo. They were not Somalis.
  20. To think of it, maybe I should've kept that with me and not brought it here as it was the wrongdoing 'danbi' of another muslim. Allah ha inoo danbi dhaafo dhamaan.
  21. Abdallah next time gaze down instead of being blown away... I don't keep my eyes fixed on the floor whilst walking on the road, sxb. At SOL, we converse life and daily happenings, and the seen was not usual hence why I posted it, of course, giving my opinion. In my world, what I've seen is an act that most Muslims would frown upon, therefore I did. I don't claim to be purer than pure, but come on, don't drag the deen with you to the mud. I wouldn't care less if she was dressed in her jeans and tight t-shirt and drunk and snogged in public and turned around and said, 'waryaa, haye?'. Maybe, for one minute, I would've been slightly shocked by the words, but it's simple to get over that. The hijab issue, though, is totally different matter and that is why it surprises me and many people here.
  22. "Cimrigaa dheeraada, geel dhalaayana waa arkee" or something of that sort. I was walking down in front of a major London Underground station when I saw in clear view and in front of everyone walking out there, a veiled young lady (with qimaar) and modestly dressed snogging away at her fella in plain view of everyone? I was blown away, to say the least. Talk about assimilation, eh?
  23. It's like what Putin has done in Russian. Relinquished power, but not really. Running affairs behind the curtain. Clever.
  24. An inspiring tale of a young African physicist and his wonderful achievements:
