  1. ^cynic in me thinks that his death was 'allowed' to occur. Think of this, the US doctors with the disease have been treated and recovered. Why not the poor African? I think it's some kind of preventative measure to stop any African with the ability and means to escape to either US or Europe. Besides, there was no much sympathy for the fellow anyway.
  2. I was listening to the World service of the BBC, as I normally do. This Outlook programme comes on, and Ali 'America' (Somali Ambassador in Kenya) comes on talking about the murder of his daughter back in 1992 in Mogadishu. That ain't the reason why he was on the programme, plenty of us have had misery of the worst kind over the years. He was there to talk about how he was approached by the one of the killers of his daughter whilst on government biz in Mogadishu and asked for forgiveness, after confessing to the murder. He claims to have forgiven him there and then. Programme is on BBC world service website.
  3. How about getting some diaspora and local engineers. Our own to be trusted with the job. Possibly, bring some foreigners as consultants. Maybe all 'macne' has deserted us.
  4. Liberia would have stopped him travelling had he disclosed his Ebola status. Have you seen the state of people, many children left to die on beds? That man has done what anyone of us would have.
  5. ^wouldn't you have done the same? Escape to the countries with the better health care. Most,if not all, of these African countries, Ebola is a death sentence. The western countries have the medicine and knowhow, yet they mostly ignored in the early stages of the epidemic, and to showcase that an African ain't worth much, they airlifted every westerner afflicted by Ebola. Don't blame him. Most of us would have done it.
  6. I think it is to do with the psyche/mindset of the people. People of Asia have a different mindset. I am not talking about intelligence here.
  7. ^You are getting worse. Who the heck is poisoning your mind? Waaryee, get your head out of your ar$ e, man. Xamar is your town. You are welcome any time. Stop this nonsense.
  8. In one area, 66% of respondents say they preferred to report civil matters to traditional elders, with just 7% going to the police 27% don't feel like reporting. But the report didn't mention. Kudos to the Heritage.
  9. ^envious. Honestly, everyone does it. Mo for the Brits, few in nordic countries. Even Turkey and Azerbaijan have Ethiopians running for them. Wealth is a wonderful facilitator. Even Northern Somalia will have its own paid mercenaries running for them. That is if they discover the black gold and administer it wisely.
  10. And deserves it. What is she doing watching men in shorts? Seriously, if one visits a country, one should mind local custom. Being British of Iranian descent, she was deliberately trying to test how far she could push it.
  11. Typical Africa. Leadership build palaces for their luxury, while the masses live in abject poverty.
  12. ^speaking like an insider. What do you know that we don't, huuno. Mise waa speculation? Soomaali intay is cuneyso, others will steal their valuable resource under their very own noses.
  13. You have to admire the Swedes. They are trying to help their new arrivals and in a boomerang kind of way helping Sweden. Good people.
  14. ^I can't understand what would please you lot. Reporting this shows that you would want one or the other to start a war. What's in a war for us? Illaah haka la dajiyo oo qaboojiyo.
  15. Tallaabo, , pleasequit the snobbery. This is a discussion forum, it is really helpful if you just say or write the backup for your argument, ,than telling them to refer to studies. I understand with my humble brain your point on the medical issues with incest, but I don't get the logic. Surely same would apply as that of homosexuality. Or am I missing something here? From the Muslim point of view, both are equally the same. Please explain the logical point, without referring us to studies. Tanag you.
  16. You know what, it just obvious that he is trying desperately to get some attention. Better be ignored.
  17. Somali iyo qabiil maxaanu ku kala sameynaa? Yaa Alle yaqaan oo ummadeena cudurkaan ka daweeya. These two young people came out to help their Somali brethren the best possible way here in Gaalo-land, yet some of you are going out of your way to even go far as saying they are not Somalis, Who the heck made you the gatekeeper? Effing couch-servers.
  18. ^Qoslaaye this, Qoslaaye that, this is bordering obsession, man. Let the man breathe. For what it is worth, I don't know if we have leaders better than this lot in us, as they say it, people get the leaders they deserve. Better get the best out of what we got, then cry wolf, eh? As for the maritime border, I hope that Kenya sees sense for the sake of future better relationship. But the reality is Kenya has far more clout and influence than Somalia-current. The fact is the world is jungle and always the rule of the jungle works, fck the so-called rule of law, it is always bent by the strong, as graphically illustrated by US, Russia, Israel etc. Any dishonest act of robbery of Somali maritime today might not kindly be viewed by future generation which can possibly jeopardize future coexistence as neighbors.
  19. ^Your answer is not good enough, Sahaaf. Are you saying, he's in his position because he's HAG? You are rubbish for Afhayeen dawladeed. You must have gotten your place 'cuz of your being HAG.
  20. Like we, Somalis, give a toss! They were probably pimped out by other Somalis, middlemen, trying to make a buck from the very situation. Alle magan.
  21. ^Really? His death won't bring jack all. Another will fill vacancy, and the story will be continued. Midnimo soomaaliyeed na maleh, maamul daacad ahna ma jiro. The youth are right at home.
  22. Cry baby, cry. Laf dhuux leh ii dhagax aan isla waayey, uu yiri ninkii, it's never haweeney, btw. Simali laba isku heli meyso. In ruuxu reerkooda u damqado oo ay qaranka cagta hoosteeda ay geliyaan iyo iney sharafta dhuleed ee qaran la xafido. Ma dhacayso, waana isku xiran tahay. Kenya would never have dared to even contemplate annexing a Somali territory, maritime or land. Somalis have presented the opportunity to them on a platter. And the fact that there might be valuable resource under is the main driving factor. Don't blame ninka ku damcaya ee eeg damiir xumada iyo meesha soomaali is dhigtay iney sabab u tahay damacan, and possibly future annexation of Somali maritime by Kenya. I hate to tempt fate, waxaanse ka baqi iney noqoto the beginning of many damaaci dhuleed ama badeed ay kusoo qaadaan surrounding states. Alle magan.
