Suck it up, unless of course you don't have kids or aren't expecting.

And we are the effing commentators watching their country and people raped and humiliated. I wish that we could garner the same spirit as those of who fought and died for our short lived freedom

Waxay I xasuusisay, 'amxaaradaa ka walac walac siineysoo, Soomaaliday ku xumeyneydaa' Could this be Ethiopia's fault?

Last night I was watching TED video of a man, a black man called Adam Foss, I think. He is persecutor in Boston. From inside he saw that as a man of color the justice system is not working properly or being fair to people of color, so he took upon himself to start making the change it needs and he somewhat managed. Why am I telling this? Well, we, most of us, want to see things change for the better, but most of us are sitting comfortably in another man's land (adopted homes) and wishing this and that! I am not pointing any fingers, but unless we start action-ing our thoughts, nothing will change. It needs our time, blood and effort to kick start the change we would like to see.

How To Release The Stress Stored In Our Bodies
Dhagax-Tuur replied to Bluelicious's topic in General
Eeyaahee, good stress is sometimes beneficial. It's the bad stress that one should be weary. Example, the type that kicks in when that assignment is due in a week's time, I am not saying one should make a habit of last minute work, however. This kind of stuff, healthy psyche (psychology) would be incredibly helpful back home where people have suffered a lot, specially kids. We're generally resilient, but that doesn't mean we couldn't do with a bit of help now and then. What do you think of 'mindfulness'? Since this sounds to be your thing. And it's a wonderful concept but takes I think quits bit of training to practice, me thinks. Sorry if I'm ruining your thread, I know you don't like it when members mess with your topics. -
There's also Warsangeli sultanate.

Walahi, i have no bad feeling towards you. Like I said, I am hoping against hope, if that makes sense that one day you will drop this rebellious streak and say ' rabiyow toobad' There's nothing wrong with constructive criticism here and there, but take it easy toying with the most they cherish, and you of all people should understand. Waryaa shetdaanka iska naar, there!

Xabad maxaa nacas iskaga dhigeysa? You well aware how people are sensitive about their deen and it being ridiculed, which is what you have just done by calling Islam Mohamedanism, and that coming from a fellow Somali however you have strayed from the path is little too heavy to bear. So, you're not Gaal cad so thread carefully when discussing about Islam, that is cause you're Somali.

Profile photo of xabad XABAD BLOGGER @Dhagax-Tuur said: Btw, is this the poet that Saudi released from prison recently? Wallaahi, Islam is a deen that demands reasoning despite its practitioners, mostly. ? ? ? So patently false, one can just chuckle wallaahi. Chuckle all you like, but minds more intelligent and widely read than most have accepted this fact. The Quran is the thinking man's source of wisdom and guidance, and I am not having a go at you. I'm secretly hopeful that ONE day you might the 'qadaf' of your thoughts. Balaayaa West na keentay! Anyway have a good day, night or whatever everyone

Yeah, Che ka dheerow Xabad, otherwise you know, you'll be singing from same hymn sheet: run for your life (sorry Xabad walal just joking) Seriously, I don't want us to stray from our beautiful and full of reason Islam, but we seem to have lost the critical mind in our masses, and that partially is to blame for the malaise in the nation today. We have sort of become people that don't question, and anyone that questions is frowned on!

^war waa gaajada iyo dacdarada. You would look exactly the same had you been in their situation. EurAsian my backside, waar African beynu nahay. Lol@hideously ugly. -
^You're damn spot on! But, hey you're one her sons, last I sensed, are you? Boots on, and off you go! Africans, are mostly, effing lazy hence dib u dhaca, man. Let's be honest. Asia is moving really fast and that is all down to its people, I know I'm simplifying it, but that is mostly because of their work ethic, where Africans/Arabs want something for nothing and would murder to maintain the status quo. I was reading the other day that while Mr Buhari was getting ready to deliver the budget for the FIRST time EVER by a Nigerian president to parliament, staff have already misappropriated the figures and had to be reviewed and some people be fired for that! And that is one of Africa's giants - human capital as well as resources. Following from that, the new Tanzanian president who has started to clean up corruption and general waste by the state is already coming under a threat for his life because fat cats are not getting what they got use to. Africans are their worst enemy. Period.

To the poster, I would say to you, keep your family unit together, come rain or shine. I think he's a lucky bastard to have a sensitive woman like you and not be in tune with your discomfort in the relationship. Some of us have been dealt the shittiest hand possible, and are keeping the wheels of the family wagon rolling. Guess, you ain't got a clue what you got until it's gone. Geedi, has got the better talo than I am able to dispense, but those are my two cents. Furthermore, it's bs to expect one person to shoulder the damn workload in the house and it's not Somali culture or a Muslim culture for that matter. The best of men are those that help around the home..

^are you implying that you're an introvert? Not me thinks, xabadu kugu dhacdaye!Diintaada usoo laabo, salaadana bilow waa iga talo walaaltinimo! Miyaan ku weerara? Oon jabiyey xeerkii Forum-ka? Fasax baa tahay, waad i caayi kartaa ina canaanan kartaa. Winnie Mandela, hang in there. One thing that I would like to say to you and everyone else is 'you have got to overcome fear', as the saying goes, 'there's nothing to fear, but fear itself'. If you have a feeling that you want to say something, say it, do it, put it out there. Don't be afraid. Of course, use your common sense, but don't let fear take the driving seat. Like everything else, it is a skill that you have to master, once you've got the hang of it, you'll feel the difference. Come out of that shell, walaalo.

Somalilands Entrepreneurs Richest In East Africa
Dhagax-Tuur replied to CidanSultan's topic in Politics
I am a proud Puntlander and I don’t hold such views about those damn Hutus in the south.. so stop your baseless insinuations her Isn't rich that you claim to be not the same as reer Somaliland (some), and within the same sentence call people of the south - Galkacyo onwards - Hutus!? Ogow, people outside of the somali peninsula can't see the difference, therefore we are not different. We're one and the same. -
It's only fiction, but i do agree with you, the premise of the story doesn't sit well with our societal norms. However, we're not saying that it doesn't occur - we're humans - but it is to be avoided fiction or otherwise, specially, marka oo buugga afkeena lagu qoraayo! Nasiib daro, this is where having an authority such as wasaaradda diinta iyo awqaafta can intervene and ask the author to be sensitive to our cultural norms.

Any side effects? medical or otherwise.

MMA, no. Just a thought. Thought occurred to me watching the tragedy at the Grand Mosque. I think it would probably be pleasing in the eyes of Allah people helping people, And that i think is the ultimate form of cibaado/worship, right? MMA, i don't think the price is far lower in Africa and Asia. It's about priorities, today muslims are suffering everywhere, people are dying, i think Hajj can wait.
