Originally posted by Paltalk: TO: Jamal-11 I view the Somaliland's situation as one that can be resolved peacefully, through diplomacy.Every somali citizen understand the stakes that are involved. When I use the word "Must" my intension is to send strong signal to those who are memebers of Somaliland or sympathires of Somaliland that in the event of their defience it could lead to ugly, unexpected, situation. There is strong consensus not only amongst our people but also our friends and neighbors that Somaliland and it's current regime ought to comply with our demands. I believe this can be done peacefully, through diplomacy, and we will continue to work that way. Of course all options remain on the table always as we continue to solve our difference with Somaliland peacefuly. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL I think Siad Barre had similar plans and aspirations on us,pulled every dirty little trick to get us to bow, last time I heard he died a refugee in Nigeria and his legacy left behind a nation at war with itself, raped and pillaged by all.Markaas bring it on but make sure your foundations are rock solid to withstand what I send your way.

Originally posted by SmithNwestern: Who said force, When the new government is created it must priorities its aims First priority is to create a foundation for which the strength and identity of the state would build upon. Diplomatically it must seek recognition not from the AU and ARAB’s but by the world powers, the US, EU, Japan and it must seek be recognised as the sole custodian of power in the Somali republic. It must convince the world that recognition of Somali integrity and borders is sacrosanct to the government. There will be no internationalising of the Somali dispute with the northwest. The Somali state must build on the relationship it has with Kenya, as the host of the meeting of peace. It must build relations with Adis Ababa and the Tigray government there, in order to put to history the ancient dispute between Somali’s and the Abasynians/Ethiopia. If the above are achieved then we need not waste time disputing with the secessionist’s. Their wings will be clipped all NGO’S will be directly under the control of the new government. Embassies and all diplomatic channels all business with the outside world would be wthin the federal state. This hampers the movement and limits the avenues with witch the secessionist can move. Unlike today where there is no control with contact with the outside world. Political avenues would be, at all times to engage in dialogue with the existing administration in Somalialand to keep the statues quo and entice them in joining the state. To send delegations to Hargaysa to hold talks with their representatives in order to create a climate of no nonsense negotiati0ons and to show Somali people that the state is serious about unifying people without over romanticising this nonsense dispute. By strengthening the system and bringing in the whole south and Puntland under the control of the state. Revenue would increase peace would bring economic stability and the Somali identity would grow and people would get used to a functioning government, not perfect but better than today. Secessionist excuses would be limited to clanistic or BRITISH mandate, but it wouldn’t be about peace or prosperity and they would have no one to hear them cry. In vacuum no one hears you cry. Smith All your arguments above are valid yet fail to take into consideration the quality of leadership needed to pursue the target you have set above. What you need to implement your "ISOLATE SOMALILAND POLICY" mentioned above requires leadership who not only are competent but are astute visioneries with the ability to take calculated risks.Instead what you have are a bunch of bickering warlords, barely literate, divided on every issue from nationhood to God knows what. Now looking at the predicament you find yourself in would you not think it would be prudent to at least hold back spewing forth your "ISOLATE SOMALILAND POLICY" till at least the final outcome of the meeting if there is ever one.

Then Somaliland would come, no compromise means no compromise. We need not waste a single life a single child or a single bullet to achieve our aim of getting back our dignity. Smith Please elaborate,it would make an interesting read.

Miskiin Did you not see my VA boys.Heard they were the bomb especially among the uuhmmmm girls.Year after year they suck on the field but bombs else where

Illmatic I fully agree those bums are all in for personal gains.I know that ,you know that but some folks in here seem oblivious to the that, blindly showering praise on scrubs they call leaders. HornAfrique AbdiQasbaaye is merely a straw in a political game that is being played by hawks.I hate to burst anyone's bubble but he is merely a manager in a Mogadisho hotel,Muse Sudi & Aideed Junior carry more weight than his fake title.

Originally posted by HornAfrique: A great speech in my humble opinion. The interference of Ethiopia in our country is an African problem. Dr. Abdiqaasim is indeed a very shrewd and clever man to make that the highlight main point of his speech. Considering how most of the African nations have had interference from outside, it would strike a nerve somewhere, right? Alienating Ethiopia in it's own neighborhood was a clever tactic indeed. Somalis very beautifully said "Nin Daad Qaadey Xumbo Cuskey" Muxuu Ethiopia ka weerari ,just like the warlords are on the Ethiopian payroll Abdi Qasbaaye is on the Eygptian/Eriterian payroll.Matter of fact every penny given to him to stabilise Mogdisho ended up in his personal pocket. He was and will be there for a personal gains.Surprised the foremost "Somali Nationalist" here thinks highly of a man who is Calooshisa Shaqeyste

Paltalk Its not Princess Sexy who did not understand but you who does not seem to have an iota of whatever you are talking about.

Opinionated Walaalo what would you feel if your mother was killed by the government who swore to protect you, your sister raped by the soldiers whose food and clothing you pay for with your tax money, bombarded all the way to Ethiopia(your sworn enemy) by the planes you watched fly above your skies.Whilst all this happened the loot from our cities was selling like hotcakes in other Somali cities. Those fortunate enough to escape to Mogadisho were taunted with the name "Xabad Keentey"The rest lived in fear that Koofiyad Cas would pick them up in the dead of the night while other Somalis slept in comfort. Ironically today as we speak people of every region from Somalia live in peace in Hargeysa,Burco and every major city in Somaliland. We have forgiven almost anyone who asked to be forgiven but if you say forget I think that its only a fool who forgets.

Somalia: Is Federal Future Order Worth Defending?
Gediid replied to miles-militis's topic in Politics
The senseless arguments here just make me crack up.Walaahi specially the Puntland Vs Somaliland ones and I guess I find them quite humorous knowing the fact that the 2 regions are simply not comparable.Come on people Somaliland is smaller, poorer and weaker than Puntland,hello...you don't have to have Samurai,Smith,Bari Nomad and Sophist to tell us that, day in day out.Just pray that one day we in Somaliland will get the wisdom and leadership of our neighbours to reach the same heights. Amiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin!!! -
This is a classic case of knowledge gone wrong. The dear Professor on the one hand speaks loudly of Somalinimo yet on the other hand detests all and everything that is Somali.Rememeber the case of Al-Barakat and the money transfer business,Ali khaliif,Somaliland and Puntland Universities. This is one of those cases where an uncle of mine would say "Ilaahey ima tuso ***** dhareer badan oo aqoon ku faana."

Che saaxiib you amaze waalaahi, the coolness with which you speak the logic is astonishing. You are absolutely right but a few folks here do not understand that.....This is all about qabiil and nothing else, trying to make it sound like its something else is bull. All our dumb ass leaders like Abdillahi Yusuf/Riyaale and Co once they get what they are looking for will dump you like a $2 *** .All those educated folks who argue for them are suckers. At the end of it all innocent folks who could not afford to fly out like you or me are the ones who get screwed blue.Hope that makes you all happy.

Sophist Said and I quote I am from Ceergaabo, Sanaag; my brethren reside there to read that these people have the audacity to say that Sanaag (for the record 92 percent of it populated by SSH people) is intricate part of former British Somaliland; this is ludicrous to say the least. Che this can't be the truth.....I can't say what the break down is in terms of people but it sure as hell isn't what Sophist claims they are.
