Somaliland has two options if they fail to comply with our demands either they choose the hardway or they choose the peaceful way. Please clarify the "WE" in your comment. That would greatly help in knowing especially at a time when everything is usually in the singular form of I I I and I

Anyone in here hear about Obsessive-Complusive Disorder.Well I think some in here might be suffering from that. This is defined as a recurring state of extreme obsession or complusion for something.Symptons usually are extreme desire to want to talk about the same thing over and over and over again to a point where it just does not make sense no more. You all gotta agree here that this is rather monotonous and simply irritates the sh!t of the sane person. We know for a fact that none of you in the political section will agree ever on any point so why not just call it QUITS,retire or maybe indulge people of the same political thought. From the look of the incessant bickering here sooner or later arguments will degenerate into ugly scenes of finger pointing and name calling after all logic has been exhausted.Live and let live, take a chill pill or treat yourselves to a therapeutic massage ...I'm sure it will work wonders for all.

  4. Originally posted by exceptional_by_nature: Whoz to blame?! Blame only causes more problems. I suggest what Latiif said. Whats done in the past is done. Women now a days here in the west don't go through circumcison (well most I believe). If we try to make sure FGM doesnt happen to our daughters, sisters, cuzins, and so on, the faster it will stop. .:peace n luv:. Walaalo Somalis in the west only constitute 3 or 4% of the overall Somali population making them such a minute and minority.Saying that it doesn't happen here does not bring an end to the problem since this practice still affects millions of young girls every year back home.
  5. Originally posted by bulo: salaam i think both, men and women , mothers let their daughters go through FGM even though they were well aware its pain because simply in old somali culture men would not marry woman who are not circumcised(FGM way), so in my opinion large portion of the blame lies on men, women did it because that was what men wanted. That was the same impression I had till I discovered women would sneak away with their daughters to have them circumcised while the father slept. Kaafi by the way the Sunna way greatly differs from the practiced FGM.

  7. Ok before you all start, lemme just say this, take a deep breath, read my post carefully and then respond. Hows to blame,is it Somali men or Somali women.I have read so much about it yet have never really determined where the blame lies.I have seen many who feel that the blame lies on the woman who fervently follows this practice in the hope that it makes their daughters less promiscous sexually.Yet I have seen many who say that its the men but can't quite understand where the man fits in this. Lets ask each other who's to blame.Men or women?
  8. Nefertiti I actually heard this story in 3 different languages,English,Amahric and now Somali.Anyways what you have just done is base your theory on how smart women are on folklore but don't get me wrong you are right, women are smart but so are so many men out there.
  9. Originally posted by Section6er: YOU CAN'T .....Again I always wonder why most somali girls says that somali guys are not virgins but insist that most somali girls are virgins? This doesn't add up. Al those guys must had sex with alot of somali girls, it cant be one halimo serving up the whole neighbourhood Succintly put Section6er........ How about a born again virgin, will that do for an answer

Mr. Moe. Mr Moe Apparently they seem to love their animals more than they love each other.Maybe its about time the animals revolted ala Animal Farm style.Get the camels to rule,I'm sure they will make better leaders than the current scum who call themselves leaders.
