I only been in Somalia for one week in my whole life and that was when I was 2 months old. I have thought of going back there but as it is right now I dare not. I mean I wanna live till I am atleast 30 (inshaallah) and all of these stories I am hearing from relative and friends dont exactly help me change my point of view on this whole matter. Lets me skip to what i dont like about being a Women......... I dont like being judged day in day out. I dont like the emotions and mood swings that we suffer from. I dont like they way we are viewed and treated in Somali culture. I dont like the fact that their are different set of rules for men and women in the Somali families. i dont like the belief that women have to show their bodies to be someone or make it in life. I esp dont like the roles women have to take on in their lives like 'Cook and Cleaner' aswell as their natural role of 'Student,Mother,Professional,Worker' etc... Hey dont get me wrong and all i love being a women but someone had to say all this!

In my view there are different circumstances in which it is okay to date someone younger or older e.g..... [*]Its okay for a women in her 30s, 40s and 50s to get with a 20+ year old (you know even moms need toyboys). [*] Its not okay for a guy to marry a girl who is younger than him 10+ years it is sick to see a 40 something year old man marrying a 15 year old (i seen this happen) and i think theres a word out there for those men. [*] Its sick when a 20 year old female is dating a 16 year old. [*] Its also disgusting when a 20 year old male is dating a 14 year old female. That concludes my views on this!

I cant belive that you people would hate on those who are offering you a helping hand. Why are you ashamd of a UK or USA passport its not like you giving up your identity or whatnot. Its an advantage not a disadvantage you know. Anyway i didnt have a choice in getting a UK passport i just got it im thankful for it because i can vist anywhere i want without a visa.

Baby G thanks for that info even though i dont pluck i know a lot that do. Ameenah i swear pircing your nose is haram! I say this because i went to this (religious gathering aka a mahadarad--> excuse my spelling)and i asked the Sheikh directly if you were allowed to pirce your nose he basically said that it is against islamic teachings and therefore haram. On that note a couple of females that were wereing a nose stud took theirs off. Oh and about belly buttons your mates right its a no no in our religion because ALLAH has only allowed us to pirce our earlopes and when doing that we should not exceed the limit of one pircing per ear.
