  1. CW, congruts you've reached a milestone (2000th post) . 2005 was a ok year for me .
  2. ^^Viking, well come back saaxiib. Nice pictures. Egypt has been and still remains in my must-see list. I will, IA.
  3. ^^^In the words of Isaac Asimov: to succeed, planning alone is insufficient. One must improvise as well. What ever you do, never quit.
  4. ^^Abraaray, yaa hayya isago oo maqal ah? any one, Nuune, Muraad, iyo Tuujiye? [edited] waan helay:Jacburkii Dhoodaan This is hilarious wallaahi.
  5. ^^That’s unacceptable calaacal in my books. Let me be a bit generous today, and instruct to you al mutanabi’s verse if that teaches you how to not assume things based on a incomplete hints. إذا رأيت أنياب الليث بارزة Ùلاتظنن أن الليث مبتسم I hope next time you won’t dwell topics in their lowest levels. Enough. P.S: Muxuu ii keenay?
  6. ^^^Did they not teach you farting in the presence of adults is ceeb, and gross one at that? Duplicity is a forbidden sport from the likes of me, saaxiib, and I still await from you what descending to my level means. Have your pms produced enough alliance for you to dare taking that cowardly dent at me? What is it, saaxiib? Ten minutes more, or I shall pen what will amount a clear instruction for a better foruming.
  7. You descended to my level, eh? Care to explain what that entails. I give you 15 minutes. More than enough for a simpleton to coherently think!
  8. Castro, Mutakallim’s signature, or more appropriately al macari stanza, implies more than that! Hope you understood what it meant .
  9. ^^^I am not accusing you with any thing, saaxiib. I have just observed how you went out of your way to sing holiday songs, and still accuse others with fanatical surge. And that I thought was not wise at all. But I am encouraged by the fact that you are open to amend those ‘demented thoughts’ if it flies in the face of the Sunnah. That’s very good of you.
  10. Castro, Do you realize how over-enthusiastic about this you are? Oh what an irony! Who is furnishing us with a ‘demented though’ now? P.S: there is a sound tradition both in the Sunnah and in the Precious book as to how to deal with these issues. Ask if you don't know.
  11. ^^I count my self as one(jareer muslim ah, that is) .
  12. ^^^Although acknowledging and the tolerance are encouraged, endorsing their religious holidays, however, is not. Merry Christmas signifies this religious holiday. If we celebrate and endorse other religious holidays for gaining acceptance for our own holidays and winning mutual respect in kind, as your rational of singing Merry Christmas seems to be, it would be hypocritical and phony stance to take. That’s why I think you’re a bit confused about this issue, saaxiib.
  13. ^^^Do I see you confuse tolerance with embracing religious holidays?
  14. What matters most to me is the Islamic tradition and background. Try to stay within that boundary. Of course it would be beneficial for you to marry one of your kind. But dhaqankaa ka muhiimsan. Make sure he/she is a practicing Muslim, and you will be better off. Hadduusan Muslim ahayn, mid muqayal ha ama miniskirt wearing Muslimah is a lot better than blonde or that attractive jareer, I say.
  15. ^^dee intaa waa xiranyahaye seen yeelnaa, adeer .
  16. Faarax, I am very optimistic on Somalis in the west. Whether technology imposes new business rules is a point immaterial to know. Raggeedee u jooga. What matters is the will and efforts to move ahead. And both are present in Somali psychic, saaxiib. The Macleey you see in that messy store might have as well been warato in Ceelgaab. The very notion that she can conceive and actually do run business in the heart of west is admirable thing. Watch what her daughters will do,IA. Yours are very good points. But you are bit speedy with this and you’re setting goals that are not attainable for us. Horta aan ilbaxno inta ka horreysana adeer nadaa waxeenna aan iska walaaqannee. And, hey, it really works.
  17. ^^Patience is the price that you may have to pay to realize these transformations. Nothing can blossom in short time. Let the reer miyi iney ilbaxaan horta. And then watch how your doughter shops in the upcoming Somali trendy malls !
  18. ^^That’s very gloomy assessment. Cuqdaa iyo cawradaa, baan ku iri !
  19. ^^Haa Faarax. Excellence comes with competition, good Faarax. In the end those who lack it will fail business wise. And I know plenty. But let eedo Macleey run her messy store, and adeer Shoonbe run his Xalaal store. In the end these messy stores will transform in to trendy malls and Xalaal stores in to grocery chains.
  20. ^^^Soomaalidu maanta waa gacan ku gabad !
  21. lol@Ps.There goes my 1000th post. coon , i say. On a more serious note, Somalis are good at business. They may not be stylish enough for you, but they get the job done. And that is what matters. Theirs are not elegant stores and surely they don’t run classy restaurants, but they still serve good food with reasonable price.
