Like to Borrow My Spouse for One Night? Sure
xiinfaniin replied to Miskiin-Macruuf-Aqiyaar's topic in General
My plate is full today, exceptionally so, and that bars me to instruct you as I would wish it do, JB-yow. But have no doubt, dear young lad, your indiscretion is about to be disciplined. An atheist who’s genuinely unconvinced about the promises of faith, but who courteously respect other’s convictions, you are not. A ceaseless banter who values no creed, you indeed are; a deadly combination, mind you, that could cause your fall. I will come back IA with more instructions. P.S: Castrow, adeer JB waayadaan waa caarranaa ! -

And how do you know, confused JB, that Islamic faith leads to a ’ dark and narrow path.’ You see, it is perfectly ok with me for one to be irreligious; a personal choice I call it. It is another matter, though, for one to habitually insult a faith whose summit he failed to reach. What is it that irks you, young man, about the people of faith? Have the blatant insults become the mark of your thought? And how does one deal with such a broken man, dear nomads I ask? -
^^A penny-pinching you must not be, good Stoic, if you truly want to settle for girls would not want to have a relationship with a tightfisted man. In the art of courting, parsimony is not a desirable quality saaxiib. Put her on your doll. Cagaha dhulka uga qaad . Soo xera geli gabadha. Waxay afka ukala qaadaba sii . Rag waa lasoo wada dhacay , saaxiib. Aakhirka waad iska heshiineysaan though.

^^Or better yet, do some ice fishing on its frozen lakes, or go paddle a Norwegian canoe in Rum river, and tell us if Minnesota is not the place to be!

Good to see you both; Sharmarke & Sophist. One of Abdi Ghaheyr’s literary genius was his famous, but controversial, poem, which he composed to reason with his wife in a bid to quell her strong desires for jewelry in an era where the rule of British colony reached its zenith in Somaliland. Employing superbly the art of oblique in Somali literature, he accused her that she’s craving for unattainable objects and that her wishes are unrealistic and out of reach. But what made that poem distinctive and matchless in its style, was its artistic dual, which it contained. Why ask me jewelry when even great powers have declared bankruptcy, was its finale! The British has suffered, he said, losses that only youths and fools are unaware. And the French has long given up the channel of Suez. Those you see in our land, my dear, are the sole survivors of that defeated lot. And you ask for gold, O ina Cumar-Qadhoonle , when European powers absorbed their defeat! Ina Cumar-Qadhoonlaay adduun qayla bixin waaye'e Qasnadaha raggii keydsan jirey qaarbaa tuugsade'e Ingiriisba laga qaad dhulkuu qeybta u lahaaye'e Qoorigii Suweyba maylayaashiisu kama qamaadaane'e Qarka wuxuu la meer-meerayaa waa rag soo qaxaye'e Naa diyaaraduhu waa qayla doon qoorta marayaay'e Adigaaba qalab doonayee quusay Fransiise'e It was said that Abdi’s poem had angered the British administration of Hargaisa as it depicted their rule as a one whose strength is diminishing by the passing day. That prompted them to sail him to Suez channel to make him see that they are indeed in control of it. Ducaysanow, maya walaal. Only a fool could look down Waamo people; civilized and peaceful they really are. Their land; an oasis of opulence it really is. The river, the sea, and the sheer fertility are a matchless combination, wallaahi. But literature (siiba gabay) is not their thing, we must all concede. Don’t you agree, saaxiib? P.S: Sharma'arkow, you are a lightyear ahead of me in this regard, saaxiib.

checkmate, miyiga dab-xabaalan baad geel ku raaci jirtey markaas na leedahay weligay baadiye ma'arag . I don’t think it happens in our generation, but I heard that strict diet was meant to beat young girls in to shape; it was a bid to prevent them from turning into unattractive spinsters. The ‘dhex-yaraan’ attribute was sought after excessively in some regions to the extent that a girl would be deprived anything that’s deemed contributing to the growth of her waistline. I even heard the measure to know her slimness was her voice for modest bars to parade her appealing curves. When a mother shouts to her, naa heblaayo, if what follows is not a weak and codyaroo nuxuus ah that goes like, haa hooyo (ood moodid in naftu kasii bixi rabto ), then the bachelor would know that he should expect mid abraar ah oo beerku weynaaday ! I guess it is universal quality for a girl to be slim. How to get there could sometimes be quite controversial though.

Doubt no more, good Paragon, for the vulgar Juma spewed on us was indeed rarity in this place. I for one have never heard or read some one who took special pride in rape, like Juma had done! Edeer Maxaad ii keentay? True that, ninkii ey rabbaystaa fadaro aano waw yahay, but to assert such afxumo and unashamed attitude is common occurrence in our society is, I am afraid, a leap of improbability. It is not that Juma had disrespected the rules of this site that worried me, but it was how un-Islamic his attitude was which got me concern. The man had indeed drunk from a dirty clannish bog. Rescue I tried to do. But he had sunk beyond hope. Perhaps the subtitle of all this is to urge the admin to, somehow, restore the clannish symmetry of this place for it seems that politics section is dominated by certain group. That is a legitimate grievance by itself, but a one, if I hazard a guess, which the good admin have no control over. For those of you who knew the better side of the said man, do your best, I plea, to fight for his causes if you so wish, but don’t you flood us with these ceaseless pleas of his return.

^^JB-yow,Juma waxaan xishoonayn buu ahaa. I personaly sent pm urging him to retract najjaasaduu qoray. All humans, good JB, are prone to err. The worst are those who are too proud to correct their faults, and the best of them are those who are humble enough to recognize and amend. The ban should stand, as long bro Juma stands by the rubbish he wrote.

Thanks Sheh for sharing with us. A betrayal of the first order, they must feel, as theirs is another tragedy in a distant land. It was last Ramadan when I was first introduced to the plight of Burma’s Muslims by non other than a Burmese Muslim. He was very reserved, and not at all communicative, primarily because of his poor English, but the few words he spoke depicted a community oppressed by its government, and abandoned by its co-religions. Rahimabi ‘s words “This government is the worst…we were abandoned and betrayed†are precise repeat of what he told me, and the echoes of that community’s pain. Oh Rabbi help them Burmese Muslims as they are trying to cling to your rope.

^^abraaray, I invoked the name Oday Biiq for a reason. Hope that doesn't get lost on you! -
^^Guba and Siinley, i thought, should be in every Somali suugaan site. Halacdheere i am familiar with, but Hurguma i am not sure i have even heard it. Nurow, that was child's play in man's sport; i don't know much about somali literature. Baashi and Mutakalim do.

MLK was a wise man whose oratory and eloquence helped to articulate the wickedness of racial injustices. He deserves to be remembered not only for what he achieved but also for what he shamelessly attempted to achieve but unfortunately failed to attain. Blacks are not blameless. But they come long way and made a lot of progress. Though it’s easy to make false analogies, one need to realize that color is an unavoidable political reality in America. To inject religion in to this discussion is understandable, but to use religious rhetoric to play down the significance of what black people had achieved is pointless.

Good see you back yaa Sh.Nur Kashafow, Abdi Ghahayr recited these powerful stanzas when elders of his kin attempted to dissuade him from initiating an offence against the looters of his choice camels. The elders suggested sending ergo (selected elders to the offending clan) to resolve the matter peacefully. Abdi Ghahayr resisted begging his camels back, and insisted that he will regain it by force. When everything else seemed to have failed with him, the elders resorted to remind him that he is a Muslim, and he should, accordingly, restrain from shedding Muslim blood, and instead pray and supplicate (awlaadsi) with them in the Mosque. That’s when Abdi Ghahayr felt obliged to reason with these concern elders and perhaps educate them about its (the camel that is) value and how it is utterly justified for him to fight for the return of his camels. In supremely suited verses, Abdi Ghahayr suggested that the nobility of camel is unparalleled. Even the Precious Book, Abdi Ghahayr didactically instructed, had dedicated sacred verses for it. It was the camel, he noted, that which greatly benefited and yielded most profits to the companion of the Prophet. And, oh elders how could you stop me when even in the Aakhirah (hereafter) the one without camels is damned. And how could I possibly pray and supplicate with you when I have no dromedary to saddle, he reasoned! Aakhiro nimaan geel lahayn lama ammaaneyne’e Maxaan idinla awlaadasadaa awr ma dhaansade’e One can argue that these two stanzas immortalized the history of our pastoral society. In it is an enduring record about the position of which camel occupied in the psychic of our forefathers. Once again thanks Nur for sharing it with us.
