  1. ^^Xoogga, ninkaan iga qabo saaxiib wallaahi caadiyuu igu bururay ! with all the argumenst he could elequently make Xiin waa qabiilistu lasoo shirtagaayaa. Cajaa'ib!
  2. Generale: I am still warry of the clan element highjacking the good religion. Also we can all hear the war drum being beaten. ^^It's imaginary adeer. You know every region has its muslim scholars. From Burco to Boosaaso to Baydhoba! When puntlanders and Slanders[culumadooda] came to Mogadishu they shared thier concern about these courts including justice for all in the south and breaking clannish surge of the early ninties! There are milateristic elements in the courts but the leadership is overwhelmingly realistic about the political actualities on the ground. The war drums are agaisnt the return of warlords to the south. Qaybdiid, MDheer and Barre should never be allowed to return.
  3. ^^ Xiin reer Bari ma aha adeer! i love them reer Bari though; skillful and cool people! Stop the guesswork saaxiib. Edit: i understand inaadan nin xun ahayn ee xilli xamaasadeed baa lagu jira. Emotions are running high no doubt! If you really care Kismayo paricipate its developments and support the peace it got.
  4. ^^Why not indeed! Things are changing, and if what i am hearing is true good days are ahead of us!
  5. ^^Locals indeed! Cayrow's reportedly anti-warlordism stance is quite commendable. I heard he is the one who openly challenged Indhacadde's rule despite Court's objections for the timing of it. He's doing some needed political sanitation in the Shabbeele region by removingh the likes of Dhuxulow from thier posts. Also i heard he is the one who disarmed Seeraar and co in Kismayo when they resisted Xasan's demand to handover thier arms. The man is up to something good, i sense..
  6. Courts I suppose! But I have seen no news about new appointee yet---perhaps it’s too early to come up with one now! What does your feed tell you Generale?
  7. ^^That's what i gather sister. Courts are slowly but surely bringing justice to this region, and any time I hear these kind of news I take it as another shoot of justice and hope!
  8. LOL@Allamagan. Xiniinyaa ka buuxa laakiin qabiil baa sii ba'an shiddo kuugu hayya bro! Xiin iyo Xasan waa isku cid aa hadda noo keentay.. Sophist, I share your concern about Cadde’s shady deals and I will contribute IA (caawa)! It seems inay dad ooman meeshii qabsadeen… Recently one of my friends went to Puntland and actually met with Cadde. In his (my friend’s) account, Cadde has gone crazy about this exploration thing ! Allah knows his intentions but how he went about it smells corruption and nepotism to me.

  10. Warmaad seexataan yaa jamaacah ! The irony of this tread is sickly sweet; while good Horn brag about the recognition of the courts to his community and how central they are to the Kismayo equation little does he know that the local’s reported discontent with the courts lies in these very appointments and how the Kismayo admin is arranged! In other words it didn’t sit well with them that the mayor of the city, the police commission, and the airport went to a people other then them! They wanted it all! They think it’s theirs and theirs only. Their objection is however a one of a technicality rather of fundamentality! Most locals agree with Courts that Barre’s exit was a heavenly bliss, and Kismayo is better off with him and his gangs. So much for this newly found tol that Duke and Horn seem to have discovered since Kismayo’s fall . Of course I don’t agree with the local’s demand, and I think it’s utterly untimely. If they own the city as they claim they are they should appreciate how profoundly Court’s agenda could change the culture of worlordism in the south and ultimately deliver the justice they so long prayed! They should at least be grateful to the mere fact that they could protest and voice their objections without any fear! Waa raggii markii Barre iyo xulafadiisu magaalada qabsadeen masaajidyadda seexanayey waxaa manta jaq-jaqdooda laga fadhin la’yahay! They must’ve received too many phone calls from Baydhabo to cooperate with Barre! I wonder. Of course the majority of the city is happy and in a festive mood for Barre’s departure and see Hasan and his men as a people who came for a greater cause (beyond Kismayo)! Preparations are underway from Nairobe and beyond to send a delegation of support to go to Kismayo and show their gratitude to the courts and their willingness to work with them to secure the city. Libaax, Jubbaland was a warlord idea whose main intent was to legitimize Kismayo loot! Do a little analysis saaxiib and you would clearly see how insulting it was for Seeraar, Hiiraale, and Goobaanle (JVA coalition) to retire the sons of Kismayo and rearrange as it were the political landscape of the region. It had an alarming and ominous clannish dye! I would appreciate if MMA inject his prespective but I personally think it doesn’t warrant much anaylasis at all! Think about Aydiid’s infamous sal-balaar scheme and you would know what I am talking about!
  11. generale, I am not sure if you count shiekh Xasan as a one from Mogadishu clan saaxiib. If Barre has his clan's support (no news there) so does good Xasan has the support of his clan! whats more is the fact that shiekh Xasan has the support of many well-meaning somalis like me who share no clannish leanage with him per se! Kismayo will be strategically fought and will probably decide the fate of the TFG! Shame on those who still are on the offense for fighting imaginary subclans and subvert every principle to win against their own invented enemy!
  12. ^^Any time a warlord gets defeated it's a big feast for me. No surprise there! I am waiting the finale of warlord Barre's long march.
  13. ^^ I don't know this guy; what did he do save failed security operation in the name of TFG? Any details yaa Sharmarke? I think Baydhoba is about to explode soon! predictable is what happens when one ignores local tribal sensibilities!
  14. LOL@ diyaarado aan la garaneyn waxa ay sideen! A word of mouth reached me that after Ciid al Fidri, warlord Barre will see a repeat of Mogadishu warlord’s scene! Tribal news portal’s accounts are far cry from the actualities on the ground!
  15. The plan is simple; replicate what happened in Mogadishu and Kismayo throughout the south and if it succeeds take it to the north (Puntland and Somaliland)! What do you say good ME?
  16. You see good ME, as I requested from bro Oodweyne you need first to agree or disagree with the premise of my argument which is Somalia is already dead, hence my dead forest analogy. Ok. And one more thing, slash-n-burn does not mean you destroyed everything; it's a controled destruction just like a controled fire!
  17. ^^Think of it as a controled fire in a dying forest, adeer. Do you see some irony in there yaa ME? Burn some trees to allow other vegitations to grow and blossom..
  18. ^^^ Caamir , although the good Professor always misses the point when it comes to Islamic movements in Somalia, the part you quoted from his piece nevertheless has some germane points in it that Courts could hardly ignore. Tribal politics is well and alive in anything that remotely has something to do with Somali affairs and the good Professor’s suggestion that it might have a negative impact on the Courts is not far from the mark. I don’t believe however that it’s likely that clan will ultimately be the cause of Court’s demise--- if it ever happens that is. If any thing I share brother Sophist’s concern that Ideological difference between different players in this movement could potentially impede them to achieve what they set out to attain. As for the charges that they are based on clan now that I would say is the net yields of a misinformed mind. What Hasan Turk and Sh. Aweys have in common is not clan rather it’s their ideology that bounds them together. Afghani is from Somaliland region and would have no business in being in Ceel-Buur had it not been that same ideology he shares with the Court’s leaders. So as you can see this claim that these guys represent a different front of the same clan does not hold water when subjected to scrutiny. In fact, those who are making such claims are doing so to appeal and stir clannish sentiments for their advantage. It worked for them before. Lets see if it effectively works for these folks again. Today I would agree a critical war is brewing out of the southern horizon. Both sides are drawing plans for the battles to come. Both sides are trying to appeal to their core supporters and are using different slogans to maximize their core’s support. Courts are using religious slogans. The old man is employing his old tactics again for painting these Courts as an old, and enemy one at that, clan garbed with a religious gown. I think he’s just being too slow to understand political dynamics that have quickly developed.
  19. LOL@Intellectual Crime! Waryee Oodweyne lets agree some basics first before we discuss my slash-n-burn thing. Do you first agree that Somalia has sunk deep into the abyss of anarchy? If your answer is affirmative as I expect it would be, then we have somewhere to start, and our discussion can go forward. In the meantime let me remind you that I am not suggesting to destroy the very fabric of our society as you put it, what I am daring to do is however to put an intellectual argument for the Court’s coming wars with all the entities in the south. That which will inevitably seem to some as a nothing less than a sheer military vandalism has indeed deeper meaning to it is the gist of my thesis adeer. In fact, as I hinted in my brief, I am willing to take it even further and assert that given Somalia’s total collapse and its apparently destined territorial disintegration, Courts revolution, though painful as it is, is the only hope for Somalia’s rebirth. Take slash-n-burn as destroying our current political sand dunes and erecting more solid and perhaps comprehensive institutions anew. Don’t interpret it however as a nihilistic manifestation of extremism and radicalism that would spare no soul. I know it would cause emotional discomfort for some and present political quandary for others but those who would like to preserve the status qua and want to stay the course (Somalia’s socio-political course that is) will be hit hard. In that vain you could be forgiven with your hasty charge saaxiib !
  20. ^^I know you folks are to deflect some presure and would rather indulge in a useless argument reduced to a sheer personality... Aanse kaa guree! Correct me if i wrong but i believe you and I had a countless debates on this fora and your line of argument with me never was that I lack principle rather it had always been that I was from the defeated lot, that I was pro-Somaliweyn, and at times you declared me to be in the camp of Al-itihaad . That been the case I wonder what this new fond of yours in doubting my stance is? Say more yaa Oodweyne, I know you can and have done better than good Ayoub and I count you not to be the sluggish type. I am tempted to erect few useful posts on your long road in finding your right posture again. But I would rather have you give first try and see how you wander first…so try it.
  21. LOL. Read my slash-and-burn thread though to see where Xiin is going with this yaa Ayoub? Or as always ride with the tail of my argument adeer. As for my old friend Oedweyne; i can say he is a commited sebaratist who sees some value in staying the course of hatching that imaginary egg of his. talk about principles now...
  22. ^^^That’s certainly a possibility yaa Generale but not trying it with the scale they have done it now has been the grave sin these wadaads have committed before. Lets see if the old man and his convert cousin (Barre) could deliver it to you this time around.
  23. What happens when a country collapses politically and socially, reaches the apex of anarchy, and ceases to grow? The answer to that question may vary but most reasonable people would agree some type of armed insurgency is needed to reverse misfortunes exacted by the said collapse. But what about if the revolution itself turns out to be quite violent to the extent that its yesterday supporters seem to increasingly doubt if it could indeed deliver the promised remedy to the political ills it has sat out to cure? If the medicine prescribed is so bitter, so to speak, that the patient refuses to take it, how then could the disease ever be treated and uprooted? To find a way out of such a moral quandary, a new strategy seems to be taking shape. I can’t quite put a name to it but I would call it slash-and-burn; something akin to the famous farming procedure where a plot of land was used to be burnt to restore its lost fertility! This time the intent is to cultivate Somalia’s died religious consciousness and to forcefully inject some sanity into its political thinking. That’s to say Somalia has hit the bottom of a dark sea from which it could not go any deeper, and thusly have two choices before it; languish in its current stagnation; or go through painful yet promising method of regeneration where some destruction is warranted in order to construct it! It’s ironic, I admit, for one to destroy what he claims to have the intent to build it, but mindless tribalism is sadly Somalia’s current social state. Mindless to the degree that people have indulged to a new level of a chosen self-demotion. Where right can’t be discerned from the obvious wrong. To correct these unnatural deviations, this new strategy need be adopted I say. Lets hope though it doesn’t cause too much erosion for its intended purpose to be achieved! Do you think slash-and-burn is the way to go for now?
  24. ^^What gives? This admin is in a panic mode indeed! Allahow sahal.
