  1. Congressman King is a flaming neoconservative. He’s a Zionist by his political outlook and Jewish by ethnicity. He has nothing on Muslims and their masjids…let him implode with anger… Daniel Pipes---Bush once nominated him and US Congress dragged their feet in the approval process because of his loudly pronounced prejudices against Muslims. I think Bush was forced to appoint him in a recess. He is another neoconservative with Jewish background. This guy wasn’t even born in America…he’s one of helluva activist Allow soo hanuuni both—before they implode with their animosity against Muslims~~
  2. ^^Markaad afurto noo soo ducee adeer ! I thought you was deprived from the comfort of the married...

  5. The beauty of Quran lies in reciting it in its original tongue. But should you be challenged by the language itself, and in the process your appreciation of the divine word weakened, there is no harm in getting complementary interpretation of the Quran. But no amount of translation however polished can substitute the wonderful experience when gets when reciting Quran in Arabic…

  7. ^^Does this reportedly tragic incident have some thing to do with Yesterday’s reported skirmishes in Laaska? Who’s being sat up here? consider that Ethiopia is the Master of the top boys on both admins… Ps—lol@ Tuulada Buuhoodle…
  8. I doubt Somaliland orchestrated this. It looks like an eternal/dissident’s work. How to handle it is not to issue empty threats against that entity as Cadde did yesterday but to firstly get his acts together and be on the same page with the vast majority of his subjects---he must address their concerns! Having said that I never understood those from both sides of the Somaliland/Puntland fence who tend to ignite latent explosives of this unfortunate conflict for mere financial/employment gains. It’s the effect of Somali civil war, I suppose!
  9. ^^I second that! Ethiopia is not an empire. Never has been one. It lacks both the natural stamina and material capacity to be one. Speaking of it in imperial terms is a widely misplaced characterization of what truly is an opportunistic despot regime representing a poor nation on the African hemisphere. Waa la doogiye yaan la dacaroon~~
  10. Duke, whats the truth of this? Why now? Does tfg has a hand in this? It's getting out of hand...or it sounds like it! ps--where's bro sophist when you need him...all these news portals are confusing!
  11. I think Caano G has seized the truth of this matter. Profiling, racial or otherwise, is never a sound strategy to catch criminals before they commit their crimes. If it were after a crime is committed that some sort of profiling is used then it would make a sense because that type of profiling would be based on facts [gathered information about the physical builds, sex, racial background etc]. But this incident, as good Khayr narrated it, just fits in the stereotypical profiling they do and it’s quite ironic and ineffective… Khayr next time they stop you, make sure you get his badge and report the incident. Reporting him may not give you satisfactory/immediate remedy but it will eventually build a case against such a lousy officer who, as you narrated, stopped you for no apparent reason..
  12. ^^Where do you live yaa Che? They must’ve tamed you to accept racial profiling as a legitimate or even effective tool for catching any troublemakers. Kheyr has a good reason to complain…and you should too if it ever happens to you.
  13. ‘Don’t negotiate with this group’ is a bad advice! And that’s what good Abdurrahman delivered. One should not ignore the political conditions one operates in. The Saudi involvement is a welcome event and many peace loving people will welcome it. But that does not mean it will obscure the harsh facts on the ground. Mark my words adeer: if the Saudi initiative does not include negotiations between the two parties Somalis are doomed. Mr. Hosh has no point…

  15. ^^That was before General Duke found the Saudi King fashionable…
  16. lol@Me. I thought North took over Burco bridge... Ms D&D, good to see you break teh shackles of working for someone else’s riches…may Allah bless your next xalaal adventure… the asluub of istikhaarah is to do before the decision but seeking Allah's counsel is never too late i suppose...
  17. And I thought Bishaaro would be the last girl in dire need for schooling about sarreen…
  18. ^^ Lily, fashion police you said? There were reports on bikini police on some southern (US) beaches. And same authorities are now targeting black youth with saggy pants. I don’t know how they going to do it, but it wouldn’t surprise me if they fashion police on women too---it’s a tar baby to be sure but one that cant be ignored any longer!
  19. ...quietly entering Nurs aqal, and sitting on the ifdhaar dirin...
  20. To be sure there’s nothing to be preserved in this fashion. But if the said authorities were after modesty in public arenas, there are far serious issues than this as good Bishaaro pointed out. That fact alone dents this effort and exposes it for the racial profiling it clearly is. But given the recent reports about some airline taking harsh measures to throw out female passenger whose outfit was deemed inappropriate, this effort of coming down hard on those with less decorum is a nice moral sentiment methinks…
  21. ^^And had AllAh revealed only this surah as the sole guidance to man, it would've been enough for it succinctly sums up both the means and the objectives in achieving success in here and after! Or so said some of the most respected scholars of Islam. Here are the main survival kit suratul Asr provides (1) knowledge of Allah (2) hard work based on that knowledge and with good intentions (3) collaboration with each other in achieving worldly and divine objectives. (4) Perseverance and resolve on attaining these goals. When one deviates from these instructions, one will certainly be lost in the endless gloom of chasing unsuccessful life. That, to put it mildly, is the peril against which suratul Asr warns…
  22. We don't want to see your backside... . TRENTON, New Jersey (AP) -- It's a fashion that started in prison, and now the saggy pants craze has come full circle -- low-slung street strutting in some cities may soon mean run-ins with the law, including a stint in jail. Proposals to ban saggy pants are starting to ride up in several places. At the extreme end, wearing pants low enough to show boxers or bare buttocks in one small Louisiana town means six months in jail and a $500 fine. A crackdown also is being pushed in Atlanta, Georgia. And in Trenton, New Jersey, getting caught with your pants down may soon result in not only a fine, but a city worker assessing where your life is headed. "Are they employed? Do they have a high school diploma? It's a wonderful way to redirect at that point," said Trenton Councilwoman Annette Lartigue, who is drafting a law to outlaw saggy pants. "The message is clear: We don't want to see your backside." The bare-your-britches fashion is believed to have started in prisons, where inmates aren't given belts with their baggy uniform pants to prevent hangings and beatings. By the late 80s, the trend had made it to gangster rap videos, then went on to skateboarders in the suburbs and high school hallways. "For young people, it's a form of rebellion and identity," Adrian "Easy A.D." Harris, 43, a founding member of the Bronx's legendary rap group Cold Crush Brothers. "The young people think it's fashionable. They don't think it's negative." But for those who want to stop them see it as an indecent, sloppy trend that is a bad influence on children. "It has the potential to catch on with elementary school kids, and we want to stop it before it gets there," said C.T. Martin, an Atlanta councilman. "Teachers have raised questions about what a distraction it is." In Atlanta, a law has been introduced to ban sagging and punishment could include small fines or community work -- but no jail time, Martin said. The penalty is stiffer in Delcambre, Louisiana, where in June the town council passed an ordinance that carries a fine of up to $500 or six months in jail for exposing underwear in public. Several other municipalities and parish governments in Louisiana have enacted similar laws in recent months. At Trenton hip-hop clothing store Razor Sharp Clothing Shop 4 Ballers, shopper Mark Wise, 30, said his jeans sag for practical reasons. "The reason I don't wear tight pants is because it's easier to get money out of my pocket this way," Wise said. "It's just more comfortable." Shop owner Mack Murray said Trenton's proposed ordinance unfairly targets blacks. "Are they going to go after construction workers and plumbers, because their pants sag, too?" Murray asked. "They're stereotyping us." The American Civil Liberties Union agrees. "In Atlanta, we see this as racial profiling," said Benetta Standly, statewide organizer for the American Civil Liberties Union of Georgia. "It's going to target African-American male youths. There's a fear with people associating the way you dress with crimes being committed.
  23. ^^ That’s not what these threads supposed to mean though. They supposed to highlight the positive aspects of Somaliland. But in this particular case that sentiment is poorly expressed.
