Allow waxaan war ogeyn ha cadaabin… Abdiladiif, this is Cabdiraxman Shaacir of Minneapolis, and not Shaaciye! He's a great poet. He was the one who sent the famous missive to put down Bacadle's literary gaffe in early ninties. ...this particular cd is called Qubuuraha Qawmka Nool. If you guys can even begin to understand what the title means, i may try to help you with this... Haneefa & Bishaaro, good to see you back to Doodwanaag ...

I did not read this article, I admit, so I don’t really know what the author is on! One thing is clear though, and that is Somaliland is about to be part of the Somali civil war, which it has wisely stayed out for a long time. That fact can neither be eclipsed by Northern and JB’s one-line dismissals, nor can those who genuinely concern about the stability of the northern regions ignore it.

Geedi and his core group have outplayed the old man---it seems. They’ve combined legal resistance in the Parliament with a clever media stunts. The latter seems to be working for them. Imagine the subdue effect last leading headlines had on old man’s supporters when they erroneously led with such headlines like, Saudi King to mediate Somali rifts or Geedi flew to Addis en-route to Saudi Arabia . I checked all the Somali news portals, and international wires, that published that report and I noticed that all their sources was the same, Geedi spokesperson! Also the Ethiopian role in this is unclear. What are they trying to do? Have they initially wanted Geedi out, and after realizing that Geedi is not about to vanish without putting a fight in the Parliament and has enough cash to buy votes, changed their mind? Or have they realized that this project is a failed crop, and started to commence plan B, which means erecting the third client entity in the post-civil war Somalia, namely Benadirland? Are they crowning Geedi and helping him establish credibility within his community by misleadingly speaking hostile words against what went wrong? Where does that leave the American factor? Have they also reached the same conclusion? Or is Geedi wheezing his last gasps, and desperately seeking attention for the betrayal of the old man and the powers that enabled both of them? It’s getting quite intriguing really…but one thing is clear and that is the outcome of this political debacle would be a good measure for the level of American commitment for the tfg project, and subsequently it would be a good indicator of what to come next…

^^I think both you and Paragon are wiser than I for you’ve strategically positioned yourself to avoid Oodweyne’s wrath… I can already see the sea of writings that’s about to flood, decorated, of course, with bold fonts to stress the irate response toward Mr. Xiinfaniin ! Waryaa intaa xan noogu filan ee naga daayya Oodweyne---maalin dhexdaasana waxba aniga iyo isaga nakala gaaraye. Jacaylbaro, siduu isaga lool lahaa bay NGO Hargaysa uga dhiibeen and that’s what’s causing him to blow the hot air… Allow na cafi.

^^ Of course his long posts are not without gems, and occasionally one would find a useful historical narrative there, and a valid analogy here, but, and with all due fairness to him, the man has limited his capacity and labored heavily on the secessionist stuff… You see, here in SOL many aligned themselves with different groupings and used their aptitude to justify why the support what they support. At times one group’s political tides rise and those associated with it loudly celebrate the triumph of their leaders. Naturally, when the tide is high and rising all seem to be doing great. It’s when the tide collapses that the spectators are able to see who’s swimming naked though. But if you are equipped with six senses, like me , you can see who’s swimming naked even when the tide is high. From that angle, no matter how lofty and snooty they come across, or how confident and positive they project to be, those who miss the value of Somali unity and seek some pride in the political segmentation based on clannish settings are truly naked… Allow ma iri... ps- of course our steemed Oodweyne is not to take thise playful exchanges serious...

^^^There isn't much to learn from a man who passionately believes political grievance for a regime that’s no longer in power could be the foundation to dismember a state whose central authority practically fell !

^^These protesters represent the clannish fervor to exact vengeance on Somaliland militias occupying SOOL region. It has nothing to do with any particular uprising against Cadde. In fact, it seems to me, these stone-throwers came out in full after they realized that Puntland Isims decided to solve whatever internal issues within SOOL/Puntland before widening this conflict. This is a hopeful sign, the Isims declaration is---it represents first time Diaspora folks with positive agenda got influence on the direction of that entity. Hargeysa admin will be given amble time to withdraw its militia before war is initiated. And that is a good step.I have even noticed Xaabsade feeling the heat and changing his tone a bit, suggesting the establishement of indepedent state in SOOL [that suggestion is world away from Somaliland's initial goal, closing the colonial border]. As for Cadde’s future, it seems this latest act from Riyaale gave him a lifeline. The priority now is to resolve SOOL issue, one way or the other, before any serious talk about accountability is considered. But that noble pulse of reform is there…

^^Hunguri, don’t you think Maakhir entity is well positioned to mediate this?

Al Jazeera news report everything normal in Sool and Las Anod

Good show of force from SL's part! I hope they dont waste them boys for an imaginary border though... -
Zenobia, you've closed some gaps there...

^^Good night aa? I thought you was in Canada, yaa ThePoint! Anyway, will see what you come back with tommorow... ps Good night .

^^I thought you prayed for response!

Zenobia, perhaps you believe SL is a sovereign republic and you find the clan entity suggestion quite insulting to the state of Somaliland ! But before you go any further let me clearly state what I tried to convey there. 1- The division within LA is insignificant , as it emanates from a political discontent/grievance within PL clan groupings, and does not attest to any support for Somaliland’s separatist agenda. Hence the claim some made here that a critical mass sympathetic for Somaliland’s cause exist in LA is a poor spin. The argument of Buuba having his militia and disrupting in his hometown is akin to Xaabsade collecting militia and getting support from Riyaale to disrupt the peace in LA! It’s beyond me why you dismissed it as a laughable proposition yaa Zenobia! Dabka, any groupings in Somalia have divisions within themselves. I am not in denial that such divisions exist. All I am saying is that in this case it does not warrant the political opportunity some Slanders argue it does to close the border (how pathetic a thinking that is)! Another assertion of mine is that Somaliland itself has its own divisions, and I observed some did try to dismiss it.

^^Some news portals report that he flew out of Baydhabo and to Adis again though!

^^Dont get confused adeer about the details; LA is a one qabiil city. Just like Burco is! And in that verse, one qabiil entity decided to somehow close the colonial border using disgruntled militias from the community of that city. No matter how one confuses own-self about the insignificant details of this conflict, when put in the larger context things become very clear and the tribal nature of this conflict becomes quite apparent. I don’t really give much credence to the claim of Slanders about the division within LA qabiil. It’s really duplicitousto to argue along those lines. Buubaa and co can present same argument for the tfg project…

^^Redka, it’s really incongruent of you to dismiss any discontent with the secessionist agenda in Somaliland and project a false political uniformity to mask it, on a one hand, and to cite any group with political grievance in Puntland as a significant division within that entity, on the other hand !
-
Let me pull a JB one on you and say I know things which you don’t know . You see Redka, Somaliland has come to close the imaginary border nostalgic about the British Somaliland of yesteryears. And Somaliland, my good brother, when all is said and done, stands for one major clan in Somalia’s clan settings. It does not matter what they breach you down there in Hargaysa adeer---things are not that murky in the other end. It’s not that I wish a war for your folks, but that’s where things are heading, and you know it. Will see how far one is willing to go to defend this clan majesty…
-
looooooooooooool,,,I think war is to be expected after the secessionist’s blunder! You should've listened reer SOOL themselves. I am not sure if you listen now it will make that much difference though!

^^I am not sure if he supported one over the other! But here are two hypotheses on this yaa Castro! 1- Melez is setting up Somaliland for a bigger catch! First by his advice they will become a part of the civil war by initiating a military venture which they will not be able to win. Secondly, after the foundations are laid and some stances are loosened, Melez may find the project of creating a bigger, united client state in Somalia more feasible, and provided the Yanks are willing to fund it, he may as well embark on such a project! 2- Or Ethiopia might’ve seen the untenable positions these leaders find themselves in and calculated that a contained conflict may be beneficial for both of them. On the first guess, for Melez this conflict may still be its first satge, or a proof of concept stage, if you will, and he may not be ready to comment on it yet. On the second guess, this conflict is doing exactly what the first hypothesis espoused, namely internal conflicts in both states are no longer priority, and instead all the attention is directed at liberating the city of LA and teaching the secessionists a lesson, from Portlanders perspective, and keeping the successes and victories of the Somaliland army, from Somaliland perspective. I can tell you though a lot of people are no longer talking about Ethiopian occupation and muqaawamah, and their efforts are focused getting their city back. Perhaps that’s what Ethiopia hopped from this.

^^You must not be serious in doubting it! SOOL folks are justified in this one!

Next step in SOOL is war!
