^^Still the man has raised a sound point. Burning people alive in the numbers we saw is brutally inhumane in many levels that it must be given adequate attention and investigated. Election rigging is clearly political in nature, and in Africa of all places it should not come as a rare occurrence! What was so shocking was the level of desperation and the sheer madness with which those gangs in Kisumu and Eldoret acted. Barbaric!

Ina Taano good man ! And there was a peace in Kismayo for the last 3 months, eh! You must be kidding adeer! I guess in relative terms there was. Ina Taano is a fatuous. And his group are equally foolish! There are many wars going in Somalia that worth fighting but the one they chose is so telling of them! Kismayo issue is not that complex i admit given other challenges awaiting somalia but peace and Kismayo cant be siad in the same breath adeer!

Gordon Brown Welcomes Somaliland's President
xiinfaniin replied to Alla-Maxaan-Kulayaabay's topic in Politics
^^nice pics. Oodweyne, do I have to continue telling you adeer that dismembering Somalia is not your cup of tea? Somaliland belongs to Somalia. Cyber commentaries wont divide Somalia into two parts. And you know it! As of late I have begun to theorize that perhaps the fall of LA was the result of a hatched plan with national consideration---a plan that will in the end give Somaliland a political face-saving move to participate in Somali politics. Scratch that guesswork of mine, and ponder on this: in the eyes of world Somaliland represent a relatively stable region compared to the rest of South Somalia. There are no marketable arguments for secession other than stability. And stability yaa Oodka is not a unique trade for Somaliland. Neither it’s a plausible argument for separation. You are bound to come home soon. Right where you belong. -
Dayniile had a lot of good things to say about Somaliland, and that’s positive!

He didnt has to win NH. By coming in a strong second he solidified the theme of his campaing, namely that he's a serous candidate for the white house. So the lyrics, as it were, were much better then the music of Hilary's win. Blck voters have now taken notice and we will see how he does when he gets to states like SC where blacks are half of the electrote....

Allow Kenya noo daa, oo nabaddeeda noo ilaali. Kenanys waa dad nasab ah, nacab iyo ***** keliyya ayyuunbaa xaqiri kara lib kay soomaali ku leeyihiin. Al Gore was robbed of his presidency too. And he behaved in civilized manner. Odinga, if he is a man of vision, should do the same.

Gordon Brown Welcomes Somaliland's President
xiinfaniin replied to Alla-Maxaan-Kulayaabay's topic in Politics
A good propogand. But in the big scheme of things, a forced answer from the PM falls way short of propelling the wheels of recognition forward as some are hoping! -
Only a black man can wash America off the shame of the history of slavery, and repair its eroded credibility in the eyes of others. American voters seem to be thinking that way. And there are good reasons for that political inclination. Obama is agreeable and friendly. He’s black man with white man’s attitude. He has no cuqdad! Implicit in his proposition of change is the following silent claim: Only a radical and historic change can meet America’s multi-faceted challenges and I am best suited to bring about that change. This is a remarkable. Not because a black man seriously laid claim on the suitability of America’s leadership but more importantly substantial percentage of America’s electorate seem to agree with it. And that in the context of America’s politics where race is a political reality is an interesting phenomenon. He won Iowa, a farm state with negligible black population. He’s expected to win NH, an elitist state where blacks have no political significance. What’s propelling Obama’s rise? Do you think a deep yearning for redemption from the white electorate is what’s helping Obama’s appeal? I think there is! And it’s this inaudible sentiment which will ultimately put Obama on the top of the contested Democratic nomination. Mrs. Clinton Ilaahay balaayuu tusay; how could one strategize in a secular fashion for people raba in loo danbi dhaafo ….

Somalia's president, separatist Somaliland leader board same plane
xiinfaniin replied to Som@li's topic in Politics
What is so especial about both men being in the same plane? -
In all indications Yusuf will leave a Somalia that's worse then he found it. History will mark him as the man who institutionalized Ethiopia’s influence on Somali politics. Having said that, Somalia was down and broken before he took the helm, and it would be hugely unfair to assert that Yusuf is the Somali problem. The Somali problem sadly transcends Yusuf. Its root cause emanates from a lack of leadership. We have seen that in even those with Islamic orientation. The best approach is to recognize the divisions that exist between us, and try to address them in a just manner. I would say what Somalia needs at the first opportunity is a genuine reconciliation process. Somalia needs a holistic approach. All regions, all parties, and all clans must sit down and own the process of reviving their collapsed state!

Very interesting! Why would Yey oppose this cabinet? What members did Juje find promising and why? These are the top posts. Finance ---familiar. Defense----new? But so was the individual in the last cabinet. Foreign affairs---Yey loyalist, familiar. Interior---new? So I don’t really see how this cabinet is qualitatively different than those before it. The only significant Yey loyalists missing in this cabinet are Gacmadheere and Buubaa. But keep in mind that there are 3 posts that yet to be filled.

Maashaa Allah! As always you are persuasive and unassuming! I think you’ve fairly gotten the gist of my piece. So come back please! I have always maintained that Somalis as a people have no doctrinal religious issues! Ours is, and has always been, a crisis of leadership in almost all categories. I just wanted to inject some commonsense into our habitual idealist talk. I am increasingly becoming the black sheep of this whole war. It’s not making any sense to me. I would also appreciate if brother Kashafa weighs in this thread! I am sure some of us are involved in worthy causes; education, sponsoring orphans, digging wells, providing health services to the needy, participating awareness campaigns about AIDS, and other productive efforts. These are agreeable and valuable efforts. But the reality (the need) that necessitated simple individuals to take up these initiatives is more worthy a cause! It’s the collapse of Somali republic a republic that never had a good leader since its inception that emboldened our enemy and encouraged those amongst us with bad impulses to lead! The challenge, as I see it, is to get this shield back so our people can feel secure within their borders… Who can get us that back? I find all the players badly ill equipped for that task! Not because they don’t try. They do. But simply because they lack realistic goals and strategy!
