  1. ^^Me who? What a sickening attitude ! You never cease to disappoint me Che!
  2. ^^Tfg and Shariif’s Asmara team are irrelevant in your mind. Only Ethiopia and Alshabaab are important in this conflict. That’s just not true adeer, but again we’ve been there before and I shall leave it there…
  3. ^^ @ A Yusuf as inclusive leader Che you got to agree with me on this one !
  4. Courts made mistakes before. Anyone who disputes that is just not reading the painful facts that emerged after the Courts’ military defeat! And on that point this article is not far from the truth. Courts also made progress in pacifying critical part of the south and projecting a political vision that was inclusive and different than what was practiced in Somalia. This article captures that as well…so what’s this fuss all about I ask? Today Courts are leading again. I found quite courageous of them to enter a dialog with the very folks who caused the military and political setbacks Courts suffered last year! And that’s a leadership; the confidence and willingness to take risk and lead….
  5. So far we have three names. 1- Cadde 2- Gaagaab 3- Samatar Given his tenacity in defending this act, I would also add somalipride to this preliminary list of hall of shame. Geeljire, brother there is no parallel between the tragedies that sadly continue uninterrupted in Benadir and what happened in Puntland. And the intent of this thread was no in that spirit.
  6. Cadde is a placeholder, there are other more important enablers who are more effective in doing this thing than he can ever be? But srart with him I agree! join the fight in what way yaa Che!
  7. Duke, there is a talk about a laba xidigle in Goroowe who ordered the Gaalkacyo roundup! Any info about the sick soul? Abtigiis, if you know some please share with us.
  8. Since the corrupt Cadde admin of Puntland has fully transitioned to zero, I invite SOLers from that region who are blessed with the ability to discern right from wrong, to help us document the perpetrators of this act. Name names, positions of power they hold, and a little background of them if you can! I don’t believe that there is any joy for anyone in what have transpired in PL for the last few weeks. Victims of Ethiopia’s atrocities who have sought refugee in what they though were their ehel have been rounded up and sent to the death chambers of current Tigree regime! This is really another chapter of Somalia's tragic story. Let me begin by feeding you some tuhun of mine. 1- Hebel Samatar who holds Puntland’s security portfolio is one of the key enablers of this rendition activity. 2- Gagaab of Mudugh who has been overseeing the forgery operation that impacted the qulity of life of innocent folks in that region and who has been the chief finance for Cadde’s admin has also direct involvement in this treacherous operation! 3- ? 4- ? 5- ? waryaa ku daray?
  9. ^^Wallee najjaasaa kaa buuxda! Allaha ku caafiyo!
  10. Allow u naxariiso! There are known terrorists in Somalia. There is no denying their existence---all Somalis know that these criminals exist. These terrorists killed, and maimed thousands, if not tens of thousands, of innocent Somalis. Today’s international actors are in cahoots with these Somali terrorists. It’s a mockery of justice for these actors to reward the real terrorists who destroyed Somalia and caused much of the suffering her people experienced and assassinate individuals whose guilty of the crimes they are allegedly committed has not been established and there is no sufficient evidence for. What crime has Aden Ayrow done, for instance, that warranted hunting him with such resolve and zeal that ultimately resulted in his death? Reading about him and the crimes he is accused of, here, below, is what the late Aden has been accused of. 1- He dug up Italian burial site, which housed remains of colonial service persons. How could that warrant for one to take that young man’s life is beyond me! Granted that it’s misconduct in many ways but terrorism it is not! 2- He expressed his determination to contributing to the efforts of reviving Islamic Caliphate. And in doing so, he allied him self with known violent groups like Alqaida! That’s just circumstantial evidence that wouldn’t even be permissible in the court of law! Islamic Caliphate is a matter of theology and no informed Muslim can oppose its return! Sympathy for any group, aggressive or not, should not warrant violent loss of life. Those are just elementary and commons sense stuff! They cannot be the basis for justifying illegal assassinations like the one in which Aden was killed. 3-He used extreme tactics in his effort to fight against Xamar Warlords, TFG forces, and invading Ethiopian army. Here one would have a legitimate point if one were fair in his or her approach of identifying what constitutes an extreme tactic in a war zone like Mogadishu has been for the last decade or so! How about the indiscriminate bombardments which Ethiopian troops and their TFG allies engaged in last year? What about the mass kidnappings that Mogadishu warlords were engaged in pre Islamic court Xamar? Would those be considered extreme tactics to pacify the perceived enemy? Aden was no guiltier in resorting to extreme tactics than his nemeses were! He might just have been more bold and didactic in articulating what he was fighting for but he certainly was not the one who caused the most casualties in the Mogadishu war. He might have been agnostic to the consequences of his pronouncements but he sure was not involved in any other theatre of war other than the one he was fighting in! Putting things in context in the manner I did commits the reasons cited for Aden's assasination to the flames and undresses the hypocrisy with which Aden’s assassination is immersed! Lets pray that this act does not impede peace efforts that are underway! As you can see, when thousands of innocents are starving to death in the outskirts of Xamar, millions of dollars are spent in hunting down one individual whose life or death is immaterial to the large conflict in our land! That painful fact should embolden those brave souls who initiated this effort to bring about some genuine, but not necessarily just, settlement to the political front of our conflict.
  11. ^^Ma asagaa ku dhaca! Al shabaabs have a role and as long Ethiopia continues to be on Somali soil, al shabaabs role will only grow even larger. The obvious tenacity and ruthlessness that characterized alshabaabs military drills is fairly proportional to the Ethiopia’s ruthless occupation and the international indifference that permitted her to break Somali sovereignty! They are the ones who helped produce the environment that necessitated folks like al shabaabs to rise to this prominence, and the blame should lie at their door! I for one don’t believe al shabaabs have a political vision that will deliver us from the misery we are in. But at the same time I do understand why they do what they do. If peace prevails, al shabaabs’ role will diminish and the men who fathered them will take the political helm, or at least will have a significant role to play in that arena. Pray for peace adeerayaal, and give al shabaabs the benefit of doubt…
  12. ^^Dont go there KK! Xiddigo & jimce, your support for Sheikh Sharif is needed. Dalku gacan buu ku jiraa and most somalis know that. But how to resurect somalia proved to be a bigger task than current leadership can tackle. There are noticeable impatience from all the parties to this conflict and leaders like Sharif need to overcome that! In my estimate, if somalis fail to talk to each other our current catastrophe will only get worse, and that fact alone warrants serious consideration for compromise.
  13. Iqra'i-ssalaama calysi minnaa, and tell him that somali people admire him and pray for his success (ignore JB’s solitary rejection)! Tell good Shariif to compromise for the sake of peace and greater common good. Tell him to swallow his pride and ready himself and his followers to lose today’s minor skirmishes in order to win the larger battle in the horn---not necessarily today or the near tomorrow for that matter, but in the future! Tell him ignoring today’s hostile nitham al-dawli (international system) is the peak of naivety, and therefore he must realize his climb on the summit of dignity and triumph over warlords would need to come about in a gradual manner! Think strategically yaa sheikh! Tell him that! And akhiiran, remind the good Sheekh that the reasons Somali people are down and humiliated is not because Ethiopia is a strong and evil empire but because Somalis are divided! Our divisions give unprecedented opportunity to our regional rival, Ethiopia, to exploit our weakness and keep us down. Speaking Ethiopia in imperial terms will not do much to address that reality---the reality of our divisions! Continue to engage with today’s actors, talk to them, lecture them about the perils their current alliance pose to the very existence of the Somali people, and the sovereignty of their nation!
  14. Clearly Sharif has made headways and uttered very important words whether he succeeds enlisting as much support as possible from the nay sayers is another matter...
  15. ^^Children as young as 9 years were arrested and you cant spin that one even if you evoke previous propaganda flops.
  16. ^^Duke, don’t you know you can support the entity yet disown it when it or its helpers round up 9 yrs and put them in jail? This is a moral scandal adeer and it came when there is a great momentum for peaceful dialogue… Koore, the reason they rounded these children is to frustrate current talks...there are some who don’t see any benefit in this initiative.
  17. ^^Any news about whereabouts of the abducted children from masjid al hidaaya yaa Koore?
  18. That's what happens when Oodweyne, their hired pen, takes sabbatical from SOL. He would have at least put it in the context of western history...
  19. ^^I agree he should drag as many folks as he can into this peace initiative. But ultimately the man has to lead. This should not be a matter of preference adeer. Secular or not we need to have some thing resembling a government in Somalia to stop this tragedy. And Sh. Sharif understands that or so I hope! There are a lot of bitterness and anger in some circles and he understands that as well. What’s also unarticulated is the fact that these talks, if they succeed, could be a very effective way of achieving Ethiopia’s withdrawal. The good Sheekh shall at one point articulate and communicate that to the Somali people. And akhiiran yaa racil-Ibil, it’s folks like you who the good Sheekh shall ignore and pay no heed to for they clearly construe his courageous position of entering peace with the current players a political naivety on his part! This is not a video game. Real people are suffering on the ground. Brave are those who do every thing they can to alleviate that suffering. Clearly what the men like Sharif are attempting to do is just that. People will blame him for it though for some still dwell in bitterness and lack good judgment. All they see is the Ethiopian atrocities or the arrogant warlords in Xamar or the injustices that's out there and the innocent people that suffer because of it. Clearly they are not in a position to offer a good counsel for finding peaceful route. And the good Sheekh shall pay no heed to them...the real Jihad is what he has been doing last few weeks and he shall continue doing it...
  20. Good defense yaa che and labo X. Al-shabaab’s position toward dialogue is very clear. ICU shall factor the consequence of leaving al shabaabs out of their engagements with TFG. Alshabaab will continue to engage Ethiopians in every opportunity they get, and Ethiopians will punish the innocent civilians for it. Once again those should be factored in as this talks go forward. Once a workable arrangement is found for Ethiopia’s withdrawal from our soil, I am sure alshabaab will embrace the peace…
  21. Originally posted by Abu_Geeljire: I don't think marke hore they really wanted to enter talks with the T.F.G apart from Sheikh Shariff and some of the other members of the alliance that was formed in Asmara. Now some of them found an excuse to distance themselves from these talks.......... ^^Saaxiib peace and unconditional dialogue are the most unarticulated need for Somalis back home. ICU should not be the ones shirking that challenge! I think in the end, under the leadership of Sh. Sharif, ICU will make to the next round of peace talks in Jabuuti. ps---the argument of Ethiopia’s presence being beneficial in anyway or shape is just silly and needs no refutation at all.
  22. I hope they don’t mean it. A week back good Sharif put forth an impregnable reason to enter dialogue with TFG in its current form and under the continuing atrocities in Xamar. Somali conflict has gone way beyond mere protests. No single entity has control over the forces on the ground. Ethiopia will frustrate any meaningful peace initiatives and has all the tools she needs to just do that. There are known TFG players who somehow don’t see the benefit of this peace drive. What happened in Xamar in last few days is no way near what have happened before few months back. Simply put, nothing has changed on any front to warrant a change of position from the likes of Sharif who seemed to be projecting a larger vision than our typical politicians, the dwarfs of our generation, are know to have! This has never been the stuff of fainthearted…the courage to compromise shall continue. Having said that, it’s quite discouraging that Nur Cadde has been unable to acknowledge the real magnitude of Ethiopia’s brutality. Lets hope and pray these talks succeed…
